I�ve actually lost count of how many times I�ve traveled to Colombia. From various trip reports and posts, those familiar with me know that I go there to enjoy our fine hobby, and also to attend to my son who was born and lives in Cali. His mother and I have a decent relationship, and I am able to spend my time balancing me parental activities with my personal explorations of this beautiful country. In doing so I typically stay in Cali and Bogot�E and thus have not recently posted a report. All that I have to say about Cali and Bogot�Ehas pretty much already been said, so why waste your time?

Well, this trip I finally did something that I�ve been wanting to do for some time, which is travel to Pereira. It was fantastic and in this report I will provide the details. This trip took place a few months ago. I wrote most of the report back in December, but never finished it off and posted it. Sorry!

I arrived in Bogot�Eon Tuesday, December 6th via Copa airlines. The 5:00 AM flight from NYC to Panama was an hour late, and I barely made my connection in Panama City. Not having slept very much the night before, I ran a few quick errands, stopped off at a reservado, and took an extra-long nap by about 6:00 PM. This had me wide awake and refreshed by about 1:00 AM, so I decided to get dressed and visit the clubs in the zona rosa.

I ended up taking a girl named Diana out of Extasis that evening. Actually, she agreed to meet me down the street since the place was closing anyway, thus avoiding the need to pay the multa (exit fee). Diana is a 26 year-old from Manizales�Ereat body and very affectionate. We never discussed money, and the next morning I put 150K in her purse, for which she thanked me. I don�t think this is the typical experience one has with the ladies from these high-end Bogota places, but I lucked out for whatever reason.

I actually had a pretty interesting conversation with Diana and Sara, a girl that I�d known about a year before. They were commenting on how they weren�t getting much work from these places. I asked them why, and they told me that they think in part it has to do with the outrageous drink prices and exit fees. I have to say for my part I agree�E don�t personally go to those places more than one time per trip, because there are a much better options in Bogot�Efor better prices.

The next day was fine�Eid a variety of things that I like to do while in Bogot�E and had an excellent time attending the fireworks and light displays in Parque 93 that evening. All in all I�ll comment that Bogot�Eis a place that I really like and am always happy to be.

The next day I took off for Pereira. Pereira, �la ciudad de la puertas abiertas.�E One of the jokes is that Pereira is actually �la ciudad de las piernas abiertas.�E Funny, and all in all I�d have to say that the reputation is well earned. I only spent three days in Pereira, and while I will provide everything that I learned in that time, I will start by saying that I am sure there is even more of a scene than I discovered.

I stayed in the Bolivar Suites, which is located right by the Parque Bolivar, a large plaza in the center of the city. The exact address and phone number is:

It is a very basic but clean and secure hotel, which includes a color TV, private bathroom, fan and hot water. It is 100% guest friendly and the desk attendants were all actually pretty cool guys who I ended up befriending. I paid 50,000 COP a night, and will definitely stay there again if & when I go back to PEI.

Yovanni, one of the guys at the desk, referred me to a chica bar about 3 blocks from the hotel. The place�s name escapes me at the moment (but I will find out and report it as an addendum), and is a small, dimly lit place with decent girls and good drink prices. I enjoyed hanging out there and ended up with an extremely petite and pretty 19 year old named Sandra. I hung out for an hour or so with her, bought a few drinks and decided to bring her back to my hotel. She went with me for 70K COP and a 30K exit fee. Sandra was very affectionate and provided everything gentlemen of our nature look for, including DFK, BBBJTC, and TLN. The next morning she took a shower with me and even went down on me in the shower. I tipped her an extra 20K and she was very happy. I think the prices on premises were in the neighborhood of 30K �E45K for 20 minutes to an hour. Not a bad place and close to the center of the city.

The next night I hung out with a few guys that I�d met at the hotel. Both guys were from New York, one Colombian and the other Boricua. Pretty good guys, and there were a couple of girls hanging out with us as well but I did not hook up with any of them. So at about 1:00 AM I went to a nightlife area in Dosquebradas, an adjacent city to Pereira. There is a very popular disco there called Mangobiche that Yovanny had recommended to me. I went in, expecting that most women would be accompanied as is the case at discos in Bogot�E Cali, etc. I was mostly right, but managed to hook up with a 20 year old student named Sara. Things went well, and Sara came back to my hotel with me late that evening to hang out. I do not believe that she was a pro, as no discussion of money ever arose. I gave her cab fare home the next morning, and she gave me her number and email address so that we could stay in touch.

One thing that is different in Pereira is that there were hardly any advertisements in the newspaper for reservados, clubs and escorts. There were one or two escort agencies actually, but that was it and I did not try them out. Since I only had two and a half days there anyway I spent the day time walking around and learning about the city. Pretty cool place that I enjoyed a lot. The center of the city reminded me in some ways of San Jose Costa Rica, in that it is a smaller city with small, crowded streets and a ton of outdoor enterprise. For those who know San Jose, think of the walk down Avenida Central, going away from Hotel Presidente towards Paseo Colon. Pereira reminded me a lot of that.

I will say that women in Pereira, on average, are absolutely beautiful. I think the same of Cali and Medellin as well, and I�m not going to say that one is better than the other�E think that�s kind of a pointless discussion. Point is that Pereira is a place where lots of beautiful and available women can be met and romanced.

On my last evening I had dinner, and on my way out hailed a taxi. I began talking to the driver and sensed that he�d be a good resource for finding places to monger. I generally operate in taxis in Colombia by engaging the taxi driver in small talk, and if he�d friendly I�ll say something subtle like �Realmente hay muchas mujeres bonitas en �sta ciudad.�E If the taxista finds that worthy of a response I will escalate the conversation to places where one can go and have some fun. This taxi driver, Diego, was very happy to bring me to a private house where I could hang out, have a drink and partake if I wanted to do so. The house was in a seemingly quiet neighborhood and I felt comfortable walking in. What I liked was that you could hang out with the girls and have a drink, as opposed to seeing the lineup and being compelled to choose one on the spot. In that sense this place was much nicer than the reservados in Bogot�E

I ended up choosing a girl named Paulina. I paid the 40K exit fee and agreed to give her 120K for the whole evening. We went out to the discos in Dosquebradas and returned back to my hotel for a great last evening before my ride to Cali.

BTW, I took the bus from Pereira to Cali. It was an uneventful 3 hour ride on Expresso Plamira, which cost me 22K COP. I recommend this as a good way to travel between these cities.

In summary, I only mongered twice in Pereira, so it�s hard to speak with any level of certain authority on the hobby. My observations are that it�s a fun, smaller city where things are a little less obvious but can be found. In addition the prices are a little cheaper and the non-pro possibilities are multiple. I indeed plan on going back sometime soon.

From there the rest of my trip was spent in Cali. I don�t have a lot of new information on Cali, so I won�t go on about stuff that�s been written in sufficient detail. Kaliente is getting more expensive (200K for 3 hour take-out�Eikes!), Flores Frescas has a great menu at very high prices (150 �E190K for an hour, depending on who you ask), and there are plenty of other smaller places with high variability in terms of quality. I spend most of that time with my son and was not mongering as a primary activity.

I�ll either answer or see if I can provide an answer upon my next trip, which will be in a couple of weeks. For that I�m tossing around the idea of going to Medellin (especially if my buddy Hunter is still around) or maybe Bucaramanaga. Any input is welcomed.

LaMuerte: I am going back to Medellin for a week very soon and my three primas, the babes I normally hang with, offered to show me around the country and I suggested Pereira. Juliana joked "Ahhhh you want to see Chicas!" Of which I agreed. They offered to take me there and show me around. These babes are very open and up front with me, and enjoy helping me find hot babes to screw....if and when I get tired of screwing them.

One question....are there street girls in Pereira? I happen to love the street scene.

I will vouch for the beautiful women of Pereira. My fiancee is from there, I have met a few of her girlfriends from there as well. All very beautiful. One of my customers used to own a clothing manafacturing plant there and has been married to a lady from Pereira for 20+ years. She is a very attractive older lady with little or no augmentation. Unfortunately a mongering trip there is out of the question as my likeness has been shared with the rest of the family that still lives there. That would be a hoot, walking down the street and running into a family member of my fiancee.

LM, thanks for writing up about Prereria. My buddy and I are thinking very seriously about getting out there next trip to hookup with a couple of cuties we met in CTG who are there now, they promise to introduce us to plenty of friends. If that doesn't materialize, I would assume the bellhops and taxi drivers would be a good source for hookups.

Dittos about the women beauties from Prereria, met quite a few of them in other cities, and am always amazed how consistently hot they are.

Thanks for updating us on Floras Fresacas and Kaliente, the new prices seem kinda high now. I'm hoping the two Faraon places were still more reasonable. They usually have a cutie here and there.

Radio, I did not see any street girls in Pereira but I imagine that there are street girls, street boys dressed like girls, etc. It's not really my thing so I wasn't looking, but when I'm there next I'll at least ask the question. If you have built-in hookups then I especially recommend going. If you tire of them you can ditch and still have a good time.

Merlin, ditto on going for it, especially if hookups are in place. Hell, I should see if I can tag along with you guys at some point! Also, I went to Faraon right down the street from Aparthotel del Rio, and there were several cuties available. Always lots of girls from Manizales in there...anyway, I took one and had a great time. While there's a higher quantity of hotties in FF, great value can still be had at Faraon.

I'll be in locolombia in two weeks again, with about 5 free days to horse around. Not sure where I'll end up, but if anyone's going to be around & wanting to hang out then let me know.

I just came back from Cali a week ago and it seems that flores frescas is out of business...I tried twice to go and both times they were closed. However, there are more stablishments with good quality to be found.

Kickboxer, to answer your questions:

1. Pereira is not a hotbed of fancy hotels, but I believe the most reputable to be the Hotel Pereira (formerly Melia Pereira). My objective with a hotel was to stay low profile and have a chica-friendly environment, which I found in the place I stayed. If and when setting your reservation, I would be forthright in asking what the guest policies are.

2. No direct flights from Panama, as PEI is not an international airport.

It has been a number of years since I have been to Pereira, so I'm not sure if the places are still in existence. But, there were a number of bars a few blocks from the main square that were kind of like strip clubs. But, they were like no other strip/dance club I had seen.

You enter and there are like 6 to 10 small bars inside the place. The bars only serve beer, but the bartenders are all chicks. You sit there drink a beer and the bartenders will dance for you. I recall one of the bars would put baby oil on the bar, and the chick would get on the bar and slide/dance on the bar.

I took a girl out from one of these. 20K COP Multa. 100K for the nite. She ended staying with me for 2 more nights as well and even cried when I left the airport. Cost me 100K, plus a shirt from Studio F, and some food.
