I fell asleep after writing about what occurred on 04 September 2002. It?s now 15:00 I have wasted almost a full day in Rio. I shower and go down to the front desk. There I ask the affable clerk about terma 65, terma 4x4 and terma Monte Carlo. He tells me that he prefers 65 but that Monte Carlo is also very good and is within walking distance. I decide on 65 but first I need to stop by an ATM go get cash. Luckily, there are two or three on Copacabana Avenue just around the corner from the Rio Roiss. After the cash machine it in a taxi and off to 65. I am lucky that I remembered to bring the address because the driver had no idea what I was talking about. But even with the written address he delivered me to the wrong section of the street. I wandered around for a few minutes trying to find the address until I realized that I would have to cross over a major street to find it. Thanks to the picture of the front of 65 posted on CH I recognized it right away. I walked in at 16:10 and there was someone already leaving. The girl at the front desk spoke almost no English. She asked me if I had been there before and when I indicated no she presented me with a price list. The entrance fee is BRL45, the basic cabin for 40 minutes is BRL_____, a suite is BRL for 60 minutes, and a super suite is BRL______ also for 60 minutes. The MO at a terma has been described before so there is no need for me to go through that as it has not changed. So I will skip to when I am sitting in the boite. The place has a fair number of guys here already but it?s not packed. There are several girls here also most of them not with anyone and not looking particularly interested in being with anyone. I saw at least a few that I would do. I finally decided on a darker skinned girl that was giving my the eye and smiling. I called her over and we had a ?chat?. It was a difficult time talking to her because she spoke almost no English and I speak essentially no Portuguese. I did have my electronic translator with me but it was hard to use considering the lighting level in the boite. She called over one of her friends who spoke better English. They chatted among themselves for a bit before the new girl planted herself next to me opposite her friend. She started to tell me that she and her friend wanted to go together with me. She also began the ?sales pitch?. For my part I wasn?t the least interested in this girl. I guess I can?t say she was ugly but she definitely wasn?t my type. I enquire about the price. They both perk up a little and explain that I would just have to pay for the extra girl downstairs. They wanted to go for an hour in the supersuite. I asked what was the difference between the suite and supersuite. Though they couldn?t give an answer other than it was a ?nicer? room they were pushing BIG time for the supersuite. I guess I stalled enough with the friend and didn?t touch her so that she lost interest and left. I asked the original pick if she?d like to go to a suite now. She pitched one last time for a double but I declined. She got up and left. I assumed to get a key for the room or some such but she returned and communicated that it would be a wait before the suite was available. By this time the boite had started to become quite full. There were many more girls and men than when I first arrived. Time. About 17:45 to 18:00. A guy comes over and sits next to my choice for the terma 65 experience. They chat for a very brief moment and then he introduces himself to me. He is Brazilian. I chat with him about the termas. He tells me that he comes once a week as a treat to himself. He is married and has two children at home. Another girl that I have not seen before comes up to him and they hug and kiss (greeting kiss, not intimate kiss). This new girl is a knock out, too bad I have already chosen and arrangements have been made or I would have switched on the spot. I tell him that I admire his taste in women. He tells me that he isn?t interested in doing her but actually prefers the darker skinned type such as the one I am with. He again chats with her briefly and then tells me that she is a really hot girl, has no children is from Recife, 22 years old, etc. He asserts that I will have a great time with her because all girls from Recife and all dark skinned girls are very erotic and know how to please. For her part, the girl I am with has been using her hands to keep my interest. But now she gets up without saying a word. I continue to chat with the guy about his work and life in Brazil. A few moments later the girl comes back and tells me 5 more minutes for the room. I pull her onto the seat next to me away from the other guy and put my hand on her leg(s). I try to chat with her a bit but it?s a frustrating exercise. Finally, she announces that it?s time to go. I tell her that I want to go to the locker room to get something. She says ?Camera?? and smiles. I nod yes. She escorts me down to the men?s locker room and actually comes in with me. There are several men there in various states of undress. Noone seems phased by her presence. In fact she greets one of the men like a long lost friend and has a conversation with him while I retrieve me camera bag. Once I have it we wait for the elevator for 5 minutes, it finally arrives but is full and no one gets off!! She acts frustrated and drags me up the stairs. We go to the 5th floor where there are two guys standing around in the hallway. She indicates to me that I should also wait in the hallway and then disappears behind a swinging door. It seemed like I stood in that hallway for 30 minutes before she finally reappeared. She then took me down one floor and down a small hallway with a few doors. All shut but one. She goes in the open door and speaks to a person who is cleaning the room and retrieves a key from her. We then go to the end of the hall where she opens the door. I am not impressed with this room. It?s plenty big but the bed is in an alcove boxed in on three sides by the shower a back wall and a side wall. There is also a built in couch along one of the walls. We have a little bit of photography but not much as she wants to stop after a couple of shots. She directs me to the shower. When I finish she goes in herself. A ?NO? response to my request for showering together. Once she is done with her shower she joins me on the bed. I try to do some kissing as I think it?s safe as I might be her first customer today and the risk of her having just rimmed some guy is minimal. Well, that isn?t to her liking either and she just rubs her cheeks against mine. (The one?s on our faces ? perverts.) Well, to provide details and be brief ? no bbbj and what she did provide covered was less than good, she ?got tired? and asked to hand finish but wouldn?t allow a porn finish. In the end when something did get on her she literally jump up and rushed into the shower to wash for 10 minutes before reappearing. She offered more pictures but didn?t want her face to show. I was about to take out my camera when the phone rings, times up - she is ready to go and rushes me out the door and down the hallway. At the end of the hallway she smiles and kisses me on the cheek before pointing me down the stairs while she goes up. All in all I have to say that it was a very disappointing experience. I go back to the boite which is now so packed that it?s difficult to open the door without hitting someone and nearly impossible to walk around. I decided that to leave. I got dressed and paid. The girl at the front desk seemed unusually happy to announce to me again that she didn?t speak English. I grabbed one of their cards ? not that I have any intention of going there again.

It was now late, almost 19:30. I walked to a major street and caught a cab back to the Rio Roiss. I dropped off my camera equipment and headed back out to dinner. I went to a Churrasco rodizio place that is within walking distance of the hotel. This place was pretty good. All you can eat for BRL9.90/person. I ate and ate and ate. So far, this is the best thing about Rio. After dinner I returned to the hotel and asked the front desk clerk about the nightlife options outside of HELP, Barbarella, Frank?s, La Cici. He really didn?t know of anything other than those options or at least wasn?t willing to tell. I decided that I would try Barbarella?s tonight. I caught a taxi and was on my way. I don?t know why but between the time I got into the taxi and the time I arrived at Barbarella?s I had decided that I didn?t want to go to Barbarella?s. I got out there and talked to the English speaking person they had available about the costs. When invited to sit I declined and walked around the block. There are several restaurants in this area as well as several clubs that I haven?t seen mentioned. There are girls on the streets too. None of the girls approached me but several guys did. They wanted to show me to other clubs in the area. And that is how I found Doma. Doma?s cover is BRL40.00 which includes two local drinks or one international drink. The fee for taking out a girl is two drinks or BRL40.00. I was going to pass on this club too but the man outside said ?no charge to look, come in? so I went in ? actually down. This club is located down a set of stair from street level. Doma is not a bad club. It?s layout is as follows. You arrive by a curved set of stairs leading down from the street. At the bottom of the stairs you are looking along the long side of a rectangular club ? the stairs being on one of the short sides. Along the same side as the stairs is the bar and a cashiers window. In the center is a rectangular stage on which some girls dance and they have shows. Along the left hand wall is a coat/purse check for the girls, further along are the bathrooms. There are tables and chairs scattered around the rest of the club as well as several support columns. I asked for an English speaking person and finally a waiter was brought to me who spoke ok English. I asked him if there were any girls who spoke English in the club. His reply was that there are a couple. The girls he brought by didn?t really speak English that well and most were not attractive. I finally settled on a girl that I did find attractive and who had been giving me the eye but spoke very limited English. We made a deal for BRL300 for TLN, then she tells me that she can?t go TLN tonight but she can tomorrow so tonight why don?t I take her for BRL200 for two hours. I declined to go for the two hours tonight explaining that I prefer TLN. She gives me her name and number, tells me to call her tomorrow and gets up and leaves. Another English speaking girl shows up and lo and behold she actually can communicate effectively in English. She tells me her story of how she came to work in the bar and how she once had an Englishman Boyfriend who paid all her bills etc. She offers BRL200 TLN and I am sold. I pay the BRL40.00 to get her out of the club and we head back to the Rio Roiss. Omitting details I will say that her performance was acceptable. Nothing special but well delivered and no hint of rushing.

I guess this isn't the end of your trip yet or you would have said something. It sounds as if you are going to leave wishing that you had done SE Asia instead. Hopefully things will turn around in a big way before the end.

I got a kick out of this last post as it only goes to show how often you go into something with one set of expectations only to find a very different setting. It must have been funny to realize that these two women you had picked for your threesome had hit it off so well together that they were planing on sharing an apartment. And all that time you though they were talking about how to get your rocks off.

Things didn't turn around, if fact one could say they got worse from this point. All-in-all it was an OK trip. Not bad but also not as good as the trips I read about on CH. Honestly, the highlights of the trip were the times I spent hanging with the guys in Buenos Aires. That is sad as I did a lot of doubles and while the girls were all into each other to varying extents they were not anything special in the looks department. The girls, in my opinion, certainly were a lot less attractive than what I was expecting from reading the posts on CH.

I don't wish I had gone to SEA instead, as I have wanted to go to Rio for a long time. Cost was a factor but with the fall of both the ARS and the BRL I decided it was finally time to go.

For me, the women Rio and BA just didn't live up to all the hype.

Latasian, its too bad your trip was mediocre. You are the FIRST guy I have ever met who came back from Brasil and didn't have the time of his life!! I hope your next vacation lives up to your expectations.

I don't know if you go to TJ a lot, but you've got to agree that terma garotas are way, way better than AB chicas.
It seems that you expected all the chicas to be 9-10's. I'd say they're more like (6 thru 9.5), while AB chicas are (1 thru 8.5)

Hey. Not everyone is gonna have a good time. I didn't think it was possible for someone not to love Buenos Aires but everyone has different tastes. I think Latasian's post shows us that we shouldn't go into any situation with too high of expectations.

Being in Buenos Aires during the same time period I think it's safe to say the quality of the chicas was wayyyyy down. It was very cold several nights and many girls were on "vacation". The clubs for the most part sucked and many of the internet girls were gone.

One thing that a lot of dudes need to realize is that Buenos Aires during the day takes some time to get the routine down. Gotta bring a ton of print outs from the websites or get a lot of phone numbers in the clubs.

I have high expectations for Brazil later this year. I hope it lives up to my expectations but you know what? No matter what I'll make the most of it and have a kick ass time. I think that is exactly what Latasian did. I'm glad he posted his honest feelings about the trip. I actually like when I read not so fantastic reports because it brings things to reality a little. Latasian is a really good guy and I think he still had fun but just was expecting more.

I've never been to 65 and it's not on list for my upcoming trip...but I've never had a bad terma experience in Rio. Almost without exception they take a certain professional pride in ringing your bell twice if possible. I've had more problems with bbbj interuptus during round two than a rush out the door. for future use I'd say either monte carlo or solarus will almost always be good to great
