This trip is starting to get a little too comfortable, so I will mix it up with a trip to Colombia next. I mention that just to explain the title of this report. I still had a fantastic time like I always do. In fact this trip was particularly relaxing after my last trip with my family. As mentioned in a previous report; I took my Mom, Daughter, and 2 Brothers to Thailand a few months ago, and while fun, it was also a lot of work.
As usual I got my favorite Business class seat on the United flight from LAX-NRT-BKK, 17A. Upstairs near the stairs. Got plenty of sleep and arrived fresh at 11pm on Saturday night. Being one of the first off the plane, I managed to make it thru immigration in 5 minutes, and with no baggage to claim, I was at the Majestic Suites before midnite. I’ve stayed at all the hotels near Nana, and I like Majestic Suites the best for the money. Far better than the Nana or Dynasty.
Decided to start at Angelwitch, and talk to Dave the Rave in person about some of his latest comments here on CH. I really like that bar and didn’t want to feel uncomfortable there. We had a good chat, and I barfined this little beauty.

It was obviously not the busy season. Many bars in Nana had few punters, and the girls were willing to lower prices somewhat from my last trip. I spent a couple of nights in BKK before heading to Pattaya. On my 2nd nite I barfined this one from Playskool.

In Pattaya I decided to check out a new hotel called Metro Apartments. Very inexpensive, but very comfortable. Probably not the best location for someone new to Pattaya; even I got confused about my location a few times. If you stay at least 7 nites, it’s only 450 Baht during slow season, and that includes free wireless internet. I’ve already booked a room for Xmas, but it’s 700 Baht then. Here are a few pics.
As I said the location is a bit confusing. On my first day there I actually got lost and was forced to accept help from this little Thai thing and bring her back to the room. She was so aggressive in bed, I thought she should have been paying me;-).

This was my 9th trip in a year and a half, and for the first time, I got a little sick. It was just a stomach ache that would come and go, and after a couple of days I mentioned it to my friend who lives there. He immediately insisted I get to a clinic and get medicine. He was certain that it was a bacterial bug, and would soon get much worse. I followed his advice and got some meds from a clinic, and the stomach ache cleared up in a matter of hours. Not sure if it would have gotten worse or not. Would be curious what other Thai vets think.
I hit all my usual spots, and tried a few new ones. I wasn’t too impressed with the talent at Happy agogo, and Supergirls, but was pleasantly surprised with Coyotes. I’d heard that they had some girls with bad attitudes, but were let go. They seemed very friendly and open while I was there. This bg came from Misty's GoGo.

My biggest pleasant surprise was Living Dolls 1. I haven't even gone in there my last 2 trips, and wouldn’t have this time except that a fellow CH member was asking me about “Fantasy Girl”. She was a barfine from 6 months ago who won Best Eastern Photo of 2005 on CH. I called her up and found out she was back working at LDs. I decided to visit her and give her a tip for winning the competition. I had told her about it, and told her if she won that I would split the prize with her. She was thrilled of course, and soon all the girls in the bar wanted me to photo them. I ended up barfining this one. I was her first barfine ever and it showed. After taking her pictures, she actually got ready to leave and asked me to pay her before we even had sex. At first she was a starfish but fortunately she warmed up once we got going. Even so, she left with an attitude. I think she may have been upset with her first experience accepting money for sex. She was very pretty, but not too friendly with the camera. It’s too bad; she could make a great model.

All in all I have to say that Living Dolls 1 has improved a lot in the last few months. The girls are fun to hang with, and most of them walk around topless, and are willing to be fondled for a lady drink.
On my last nite I had intended to go to Heaven Above GoGo, but got sidetracked by that group of beer bars just outside of Walking St. I have heard great things about Heaven Above, and I’m sorry I missed it, but found my most fun barfine of this trip in that beer bar complex. Being the slow season, my buddy and I were only 2 of about 5 guys in this whole complex with over 100 girls. As usual most of them didn’t do much for me, but there were 4 or 5 that were 8/9s. I would consider the one I barfined only an 8, but she was a lot of fun. If it wasn’t my last nite, I would have taken her on a short trip to Ko Samet or something. Here's a few shots of her.

Av8tr-
Cool report & Very Nice Pic's!
What was the address of Metro Apartments?
Thanks

What kind of lap top is that? I am looking to get one for travel, but I want to make sure it is small enough to fit in one of those in room safes.
How long does the low season last? I am thinking about a September trip.

Thanks for the report, you've found some cuties there!
On the stomach thing: I had a stomach problem that had me out of action for a day, and then the next day I was not back even close to 100%. The next morning, Epi insisted I go to the hospital all the way across the street from our hotel (Bella Villa Prima), and it cleared up by the following day.
Next trip, the gf and I got some food from a street cart in some other part of Pattaya. I had to get up twice during the night to discharge from both ends, it's the sickest I've been since Buddha knows when. There was no doubt about going to the hospital immediately in the morning, and I was better by afternoon.
Diagnoseed as bacterial infections both times, treated with antibiotics. Total cost, incidently, for hospital and drugs was about $20.

Thxs for the reportand I agree a very nice selection of pooying - I especially like your Angelwitch girl. Don't tremember seeing her there . Must be one of the new spinners DTR was mentioning.
Roadglide.
September is definitely still low season. Plenty of daily rain. High season does not start til late October early November.

NW...I should have included a link to the hotel. Here it is http://www.metro-apartments-pattaya.com/location.php
RG...the laptop is a Dell Inspiron. It's small and very nice, but will not fit in the safe at the Metro Apartments. Very few places in Pattaya have safes, and most are too small for laptops.
HM...yea medical care is very cheap. My clinic bill was 450 Baht for everything. Now, when are we going to Medellin?
KM...thanks for the compliment. Yes I think the Angelwitch girl was new. She certainly has the face of an angel, I think.

Nice report, It makes me "homesick" for Pattaya, but I will be back in Los in November, can't wait. Great Pictures can't wait to read your next report.
Happy trails

Av8Ter,
Great report... Now I'm undecided again about where to go this September. I've been thinking of trying Medellin, but you found some real cuties in Pattaya that make it hard to decide. I look forward to your Medellin report.

Laptop looks to be the Inspirion E1405, or M640 which are both 14" widescreen models and much too big for a safe. You will want to look for an 11 or 12.1" model for that (these are more the dimensions of a piece of paper but are 1" thick)
By Av8tr on Monday, June 12, 2006 - 07:34 pm: Edit |
Actually it's the Inspiron 700M which has a 12" screen. It's small, but the safes at the Metro Apartments are even smaller. I could barely fit my DSLR camera in it.
Thanks to all for the compliments. It's fun combining my 2 hobbies; photography, and mongering.

A.,
The angelwitch girl is certainly nice in my eyes. I was there some weeks ago and there was someone looked like her by the name "Da".
Bought her a LD and then she gave me the "cold - treatment" and I decided that I would not barfine her. Not sure it it's the same kid as I spent a very short time with her.
If it's the same girl, I hope you had better value that I had with my LD gone cold!
C.

I can't remember her name, but I could see where she could come off a little cold. Fortunately she warmed up, and really got into the spirit of things once I started shooting pics of her.
It's because I such "hansum man".

450.00 THB
Thailand Baht = 11.7314 USD
United States Dollars
My vote is for Pattaya over Medellin. My next trip will definately be to Pattaya. I dont think you can beat this $11 dollar a night Metro Apt deal.
How far is it from the action? What do the hotels closer to the action cost?
I bet if I just walk outside and say the magic words then someone would probably show me the way to the fun.
That camera you use does take nice pictures.

There are beer bars right outside the door of this place. You'll have a great time, but like I said in my report, a hotel on Soi 13 might be a little easier. There's a great place for 1250 baht a night called the Whitehouse Condotel. Nicer, and closer to the beach.
By Mongerx on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 - 09:23 pm: Edit |
I like the location of the safe above the nightstand. Don't even have to roll out of bed to pay your sweetheart in the morning. And so easy to lock your camera up while you shift from documenting to the heat of the battle.
By Ironeagle on Thursday, June 22, 2006 - 04:25 am: Edit |
Are there any other hotels that go for under $30. I like the fact that you can stay for two weeks, hand over 2 bills and then receive some change back.
By Av8tr on Thursday, June 22, 2006 - 09:30 pm: Edit |
There are lots of hotels for under $30. The trick is to find one that is as nice as possible. I think the Metro is the best for the money right now, but there are always new ones popping up.
By Ironeagle on Saturday, June 24, 2006 - 06:17 pm: Edit |
It does look nice for $11 a night.
What is that camera you are using? I think you stated it once before. The picture quality is probably the best I have seen so far on hombre. Everything looks as if it were done in a studio. No blurry shots. Excellent quality.
By Av8tr on Monday, June 26, 2006 - 11:11 am: Edit |
Thanks. It is a Nikon D200. Pretty big and expensive for the average mongerer, but I also have a 12 yr old daughter that I want to photograph as much as possible. The lighting looks good because I bounce the flash off the ceiling avoiding shadows, and giving the pics a studio like appearance.
There are some cheaper cameras out there that will get very similiar results. The Canon Digital Rebel is a great camera, but it certainly won't fit in your pocket.
By Phoenixguy on Monday, June 26, 2006 - 08:14 pm: Edit |
If you're looking for something cheaper than a D200, the Nikon D50 is less than half the price, and I doubt I'd be able to tell which camera took the pics. Of course you don't get lots of the fancier features. The real key to the picture quality is exactly what he mentioned - being able to direct the flash UP, lighting the subject indirectly. Makes a HUGE difference in picture quality, as you eliminate the heavy shadows. The gotcha? Good flash units aren't cheap - think $200 and up.
I'll be putting my D50 and my photo skillz to the test in LOS next week.
By Av8tr on Monday, June 26, 2006 - 11:55 pm: Edit |
Yes, the D50 is a great camera too. I had the D70 and got many great pics in Thailand with it.

Metro Apartments look very clean and nice. You can't beat the price for how good it looks. I checked the website http://www.metro-apartments-pattaya.com and looked at a few more pics.

Av8tr, a very good solid account, I am very impressed with Metro Apartments. The high resolution images are to your usual excellent standards. BTW, many a Thai MD has told me that stomach viruses are very common in Thailand. I used to live in Pattaya and I have suffered the worst stomach viruses and food poisoning in LOS. Food hygiene and sanitary standards are often extremely poor in Pattaya. Even Thais from BKK complain about this. You have to be very careful, this is one big downside of Pattaya. As you have witnessed, you really have to know where the good restaurants are. In many cases the food sucks in Pattaya!

Khun Mor, I can confirm that the Angelwitch honey is indeed one of the new bunch that we have taken on. As you can see from Av8tr's photos, she is indeed a real babe. And you can also see that I tell no lies, we have some real babes in Angelwitch. I also want you to know that "KED" has returned to dance in Angelwitch. Tall, slim, enchanting and elegant girl. I always enjoy having a good laugh and joke with her. Miss Ked is back! NB. I am sure you can explain the stomach viruses to the guys, but I did want to post a warning.
Crazier, this was NOT the same girl. The girl you were talking to is very sultry. I wouldn't take it personally she probably just wasn't into you. And without the looks and charm of Tom Cruise, we are not going to have them swooning!
