Jessica woke at 11:00. She exclaimed ?Oh my God? in Portuguese and immediately grabbed her phone and called someone. When she got off the phone she was saying that she was late to work. I wasn?t impressed. For all I know she was calling her boyfriend to tell him that she had overslept with a John and would be with him as soon as she got paid. I also noticed that her English skills had improved over last night back to the level they were on the first night I met her. Not to say that we were talking about the weather but at least she could say a few things in English again. She made several more calls and actually received one or two ? one of which came in while she was in the shower. I gave her the agreed upon sum and she promptly left. I repacked my computer, took a shower myself and then fell asleep for a few more hours. When I woke it was around 13:00 so I decided to take a walk on Copacabana Beach and take some pictures. I packed my 35MM Film camera and my video camera into a backpack, strapped it on and proceeded to the beach. It was an overcast day just like the rest except that it wasn?t raining now. It was cool it not actually cold and the seas were a bit choppy. Copacabana isn?t the prettiest beach I have seen but it was in winter and most beaches aren?t at their best in the winter months. I took a few pictures and noticed that I was near the Debert Hotel. I went inside and asked to see a room. They didn?t have anything to show me. There were no vendors at all along the stretch in front of HELP so I decided to do some shopping in the little shops in the area near the Rio Roiss. After 90 minutes I had found a few items, mostly touristy stuff and decided to call it quits. I went back to the Rio Roiss, unpacked my laptop and logged onto the corporate network. I answered emails and read reports until it was time to head to the airport. The trip there was uneventful, as were the return flights.

So ends my first sojourn into South America.

Latasian. I know we all like money, but I get the impression that you might be just a little to overly concerned with the money thing.

What I don't understand is why you didn't leave BA or Rio sooner.
It just seems that there is something you're not telling. All other hombres that I know of don't want to leave.
