Left on Saturday and flew thru Houston to S.P. and on to Rio. This was a much better flight then going thru Miami for us on the west coast. We even went to the PapaDoes in the Houston airport to find the bartender Jaguars knows. I slept most of the way, Happyboy didn't sleep. Which left him landing in Rio without sleep for about 48 hours, not the best way to start. Roberto was at the airport waiting and dropped us off at Don's 303 apartment. Everything
was smooth and hassle free. We are on the ground and the adventure starts by meeting Isawal and heading out Indian food.

Helpe Girls:
Ok, I'll admit a Helpe Girl ended up in my bed one night. Happyboy picked a 19 yro hottie and her 30 yro friend tagged along. Guess which one ended up with me? BOTH! It was a very weird situation, with the girls kept jumping into each other's bedrooms. It all ended badly though, the older girl went ballistic for some reason, maybe it had something to do with the other girl and me, maybe she was just crazy. I don't know, it didn't matter both got thrown out. I'd not going to deal with any attitude from a W.
Termas:
Happyboy and I went to 4 Termas. The plan was to go once and try to save some money. I didn't work out that way. We went to Luoma (Monday(Prisilla) & Wednesday(Victoria)) and Solarium(Thursday & Saturday(Bianca both times)) twice each the first week. Whoever trained Bianca, thank you - you did well. I had 1 hr suites all 4 times, L was pretty close to 1 hr both times, maybe a few minutes over. S was 2hr on Thursday and 90min on Saturday before the phone call. The prices were the same at both = 340r for the 1hr suite. IMHO, 2 hrs in a suite with a hot tub and a Terma girl for 340r is as good of a deal as you'll find in Copa. Solarium on a weekday night seems like a good selection if anyone is undecided where to go. S girls do hussle drinks more then L girls do. Overall, there were some 6 to 8s in both places. I wouldn't rate any of the girls a 9 or 10. The second week I was there, I didn't go to any Termas. I wanted to try other things, read below.
Apartment Mongering:
My fellow apartment mongers picked me up in a taxi and off we go to the Metro. We are going to ride the Metro into Centro and meet our guide, I have his phone number and will call once arrive. The Metro is great. We rode Line 1 from Siqueira Campos in Copa to Carioca which I think was 7 stops. 2.45r for a 1-way ticket, about a 12 min ride.

We climb out of the subway and I call our guide, he's there within 2 min. We make a plan in about 30 seconds, show us the garatos. Across the street we enter a large, 20+ story office building and ride the elevator to some floor. Walk up and down the hallway looking for a room number, once you find the correct door. You ring the door bell to the apartment, which really is a converted office space. A receptionist answers the door and lets you into the waiting hall. If there is a customer already there they will not answer the door. You are never seen or see any other customer. They are really into your privacy. Once you are there, they might lead you to a room or leave you in the hallway to view the girls.
Each girl will come out and introduce herself one at a time, then leave. You have to remember the name of the girl you wish to session with. After all the girls are introduced you can select one or leave. There is no waiting around or drinking. The receptionist will tell you the prices. I think 1/2 of the receptionists session also. As we were leaving the
building I checked the directory by the front door looking for "pussy" or something like that. There was nothing. The office we went to wasn't even listed on the directory.
Our guide had roughly 15 addresses to visit for that day. After about the 5th door, I had seen enough and selected my girl. All I remember about her was a 2ft scorpion tattoo on her back. She was really easy on the eyes and had perfect smooth skin. The girl didn't look or feel like a high volume garota. I gave her my phone number and invited her over after work, but she never called. The total session was 80r for an hour.
My impression from talking to my guide and experiences are these girls chose to work apartments because it gives them more flexibility. I would say they are more in control of their life then the Karla or Terma girls. They work when they want to and where they want to. Hence I think the sessions on the average are better. My guide told me one apartment owner is known to have the best rooms, there were 2 places run by this guy and in both places the rooms were comparable to any 1hr suite in L. Otherwise its all a crap shoot.

Freelancers:
I had spent a good deal of time translating the boards into English and creating a list of quality Freelancers. The list was headlined with Nikita from SP who was visiting for a week. I forwarded the list to Ken since I would need his help to schedule the sessions. You know what they say about the best laid plans? Just about everything that could go wrong with the Outcall girls did. My advice to anyone thinking about this, if you can't call them yourself and schedule the appointment - don't even think about it. So the bottom line was I got with 1 freelancer, Amanda, who was an ex-Terma girl I was told. She was a real sweat heart but we didn't click in bed. She even came back later in the week to make it up, but wasn't
working. I don't think she really wanted to be on the program any more.
Agency girls:
50/50 on Scot Show girls. I had 2 visit, the first girl, Taciane was a dead fish. The second, Tabata was a lot of fun. Neither spoke any English. So I have mixed feeling on these agency girls, I've read so much about the great times they provide. How they love to party. My thoughts are your odds of having fun are nothing better then 50/50. If the girl is in the right mood, hasn't been busy, morning/night, whatever the reason - you either click and have a good time or you don't. I don't know what the factors are. Neither girl I had visit this trip I would of ever selected if I saw them in Helpe. Neither was my type. Taciane was little better looking then Tabata, but there was no comparison between the sessions. I onestly think if either one could of been the dead fish or the hottie depending on the day.
Food :
I tried to remember all the places we ate this trip. But I would forget to write them down and we always referred them as "that place". You know what I mean? Anyway, here are the restaurants I remember eating at:
Cipriani @ Copa Palace Hotel: excellent and very expensive
I did think the caviar pancakes were over the top
Alcazar : cheap, good filet, nice location
Office Sports Bar : I don't like the food, but the apple struddle was good
Mistura Fina in Lagoa : small menu, tasty, expensive
Marius Churrascaria : huge selection of food, expensive
The Palace Churrascaria : smaller selection of food, tasty, medium price
An Italian resturant 1 block south of Don's street on Copo Ave. : not good
Pizza resturant near Copa Palace : would never survive in the US
A bad Indian place : bad
Summary:
Going to Rio in August is great! The weather was awesome, the crowds small and I had many many girls to choose from. I thought the selection was better then last October. One of my goals this trip was to try to work from Rio, which was successful. Another was to venture outside Copa, I made it to Barra, Cidade de Deus and Centro. All were interesting, I liked Barra very much. I used the Metro subway and the white mini vans to get around along with the taxis. All of it was easy with a little guidance to get me started.
Personal Thoughts:
So I am now back in the U.S.of A. working on getting my new business going. I've been an engineer for over 20 years. In May I took a severance and started trading commodities full time. It's been a hobby for over 10 years and I think I am pretty good at it. But it's tough, not having a regular paycheck, no social interaction with co-workers, having to produce or go hungry. Its very different then a hobby now. I know if I fail my trips to Rio will never be more then a week vacation. If I succeed I know I can spend as many weeks as I want in Rio or anyplace else. It seems like bad days are amplified and good days just add
more pressure to succeed. I have a good support group and many people hoping I make it, but the bottom line is all on me. No one to blame but myself. There will be no more mongering for me until I've made it or gone broke. Next July if you're in Copa, ask Don or Ken if I'm out in Barra living in a beach condo. If I'm there you'll know I made it.
