Changping has a very impressive array of male fun activities. On my second trip I found myself falling into a groove of feasting on barbershop (bbs) girls and foot massage sessions. Unfortunately, this means I bypassed the excellent and relatively cheap karaoke action and naughty saunas.

Barbershops in Changping really are just takeaway brothels in back alleys and second floor rooms. Like my previous trip I did some trolling over in bbs sprinkled around the alleys around the Yalan hotel. Finding the bbs is not hard at all. Just take a taxi to the Yalan hotel and you will swarmed by a bunch of mamasan touts. There are a bunch of bbs. When you leave on there will be more mamasans waiting outside to try and lead you to their house. If you see a girl you like you can take her right there. In that case give the mamasan 100 RMB and you can take your girl back with you (you pay the girl the balance of money owed when your “date” ends) However, if you see a girl you like but not ready to pull the trigger have the mamasan give you a card with her number and the girls number. Now you can just call and have the girl come to your room. However, best that take good notes on the card for a girl you like. It gets overwhelming and one hottie will blend into the next.

I would say that the talent level was very good. More so than my last trip, I was really impressed with the variety of looks and body types and the number of just stunning girls. The prices here are 200 RMB (including 100 you give the mommy for short time) and if they stay LT it’s 500 RMB. I like the system as you can try one girl out and if she isn’t LT worthy, grab your stack of cards and on to the next. However, note on weekends and holidays the good looking girls will go fast and you should get over in the late afternoon.

One thing that really impresses me with the Chinese girls is the general very smooth and wonderful skin they have. Also, the bodies tend to be very fit. However, one thing which takes getting used to is that many don’t remove their underarm hair and the black hairs against the white skin takes some getting use to.

The first girl was real friendly in the bbs but a little older. Back in the room I was a bit disappointed with her less than perfectly smooth skin and rather pedestrian session. I was my first session in town so I cut her loose. After a foot massage I was back in the saddle with a new one.

This girl I thought was really hot, and back in the room gave a decent session. She was very pleasant and fun until it was paytime. I gave her the 120 RMB and she was insistent I was supposed to pay 150 rmb. I got annoyed and took 20 RMB back and told her to leave. She refused and we had a ten minute Mexican standoff. It got to the point where I was calling hotel security. Then I made a face saving gesture of giving her back the extra 20. She departed with neither of us happy.

This last girl is below average and looks and a repeat from my previous visit. She is an unbelievably horny and nasty girl! Had a great session and then off to dinner. On this trip I checked out the bbs in an alley behind the Hue Mei hotel. Once again, don’t worry about finding the places, as you walk around mamasans will approach you and show you they way. In this area I would guess there were about 6-10 bbs. However, all the bbs are on the same street making it easy to good a thorough search. I had heard the quality wasn’t as good in these places. I made two picks from here after 10 PM.

On this trip thanks to Old Asian Hand and his spot on info I was able to find the infamous ‘catacombs.’ The catacombs is the set of narrow winding alleys with girls hanging outside their rather primitive rooms offering 30 rmb 15 minute ST. I must say my expectations were quite low. I thought it would be large old, and scary looking beasts like Desker Rd. in Singapore. When I entered the area I was surprised to find rather young and sweet girls. There were about 20-30 girls in total in the area, all in the 5-6 range. I was even more shocked with how playful and inviting the girls were. I had several girls all over me giving me the Brad Pitt treatment. A much warmer and fun environment filled with younger girls than I expected. I didn’t pull the trigger on this visit as no one compelled to take the plunge, but I will at some point have to try the $3.75 ST.

I agree with your assessment that we better get to Changping while the getting is good. On the ground you can almost feel the surging prosperity and I am sure in the coming years incomes here will grow to HK, Tawain, Korea etc. levels. With that the great bargain mongering value will fade. In contrast, things will probably remain fucked up for the foreseable future. Bad news for their citizens but good news for value mongering.

Nice try Porker....the only thing that kept me from going to Jakarta was that I was so damn comfortable in Angeles and I knew that Jakarta would take some adjustment and it does. I would much rather have someone lay the groundwork before I get to a place as it makes it much easier and MX is our best explorer at the moment. Luckily he is a great guy and likes introducing his friends to new places. I did say it tongue and cheek when referring to China getting too popular but in two short years Thailand and Brazil have nearly been ruined due to internet pimping. Angeles City may or may not be next...time will tell.

The Karaoke venues are quite the opposite of the BBS. There are printed menus with fixed prices which even if you cannot read Mandarin (like me) you can figure out what they are saying.

Basically, there is a minimum F & B spend per room and small rooms (typically for 2-4 people excl the girls) are about 650 -680 yuans which you consume in terms of drinks and food. For Scotch Drinkers like us, we do have difficulty keeping within this because the bottle alone is around 680 yuans.

Mixers are also chargeable but the good thing is that the ladies drink what we drink (at our drink prices) & we don't get lumbered with all sorts of "concoctions" at "jacked-up prices" that you get in beer bars & ago-gos.

The highly profitable area which unfortunately is hard to deny them is the "plate of fruits" that they will almost instantly throw on the table the moment you sit down. This is NOT MANDATORY and you can ask it be taken away. However, it's not necessary, tolerate this one or two plates and everyone will be happier - ITS NOT A BANK BREAKER. The girls do love their fruits too!

As you have encountered in previous visits, the typical bill in the Karaoke is NOT AN OVERKILL as compared with "ringing the bell in some venues I know."

Of course, it's great to have a "known reliable KJ/waitress" keeping an eye on the running tab and that is why our "Wei Wei" is a valuable asset in Amazon.

To be honest, I have not found a need to be too watchful in all the visits I have made into the other Karaokes although keeping alert all the time and asking a few questions here and there helps communicate to the "hosts" that we are mindful of expenses!

You have here someone who AVOIDS stepping into Karaokes in Singapore, Malaysia or even Thailand who is expounding on the virtues of Karaokes in Southern China (Chang Ping). So that should tell you something!

Crazier, I agree that value of a karaoke visit in CP is incredible relative to pretty much anywhere else. Porker please don't say an evening with your GF at the videoke shack on McArthur drinking Redhorse and eating chicken feet is comparable. It's fun but not really comparable. Also, CP is the only place I will pay to go to the karaokes.

However, there are a lot of steps in process you described which my ten words of mandarin and trusty translator just can't do. Plus you are in a situation where people are bringing drinks and food without checking with the person responsible for the bill. Actually Wei Wei at amazon is awesome in respect to that. However, I do know at Amazon the girls are highly pressured by management to order overpriced Lady Drinks. Generally ordering a round of these pacifies the management and relaxes the ladies. Also, then there are tips outs to various staff. Who and the amounts are uncertainties to me. When I face the music at the end of the night I just a real sense that it's "Up to them" how much I pay. How am I going to contend with a bill I feel excessive. I certainly don't have the language skills to employ the standard technique of grumbling, giving the bill back, and asking for a discount.

I am sure its not rocket science and once you know the ropes it's not a problem. But I am apprehensive to learn the lesson where I don't have any language skills. Of course, I will gladly tag along for anyone willing to take charge of the organization. Next time I will just closely observe and and questions of the alpha-monger how does take charge.

Ah Porker, you want to have multiple fucks and partners per day and want to spend significantly less then $150 a day. You are running out of options. Frankly I don't know how you can do AC for less than $150 a day. Well actually I do know how you do it - no lady drinks, no BJ bar hops, and no entouraging. Personally if I had to do AC the way you do, I wouldn't go. But thankfully, for me AC represents great value for those things you avoid (well except for the new higher LDs' prices)

I have just scratched the surface and don't really know shit about CP yet. But it's clear if you wanted to go cheaper you could. For $20 a night you can get a clean good 3* hotel in the middle of the action which would cost at least $30 on Fields. Food is awesome and cheaper than AC. Simple delicious noodle meals are less than a buck in the street and you can get your Batam style seafood feast in Aircon for less than 10 bucks a person. Get awesome foot massage or regular massage in any setting better than AC for $4.50-$6 bucks an hour. You already have $4 ST. BBS ST is $25, and that can last a couple of hours. Hell if you hit it off and you don't want to pay the LT fee, invite to come over before she starts work to take care of your morning wood needs for $12.50. The point is you can do Changping for well under $150 a day and have lots of sex with minor sacrifice, you will just have bypass karaoke and high end saunas. But there are no places for alcoholics to gets $2 mason jars of rum and cokes at 8AM, but I think beer is dirt cheap and I see lots of folks drinking it with the dim sum breakfasts. I am sure you can come up with a way to do AC cheaper, but for me and others getting the best value options and getting the cheapest options aren't the same concept.

Hmmm, even at 30 USD per LT barfine in AC and $10 USD hotel premium, you can be doing 3 girls a day for as long as you want and still be spending in the 150 or less range, all-inclusive. Of course, like you said, ladies drinks are the X factor, and I find it exceedingly easy to avoid them, actually. Cut that down to one girl a day (who will shag you SILLY), and AC still eats China's lunch price-wise. Mx is about the only one I know qualified to comment on the relative quality between the two places.

My personal situation in AC is rather irrelevant to the discussion, IMO. I could go back 3x a year till my passport runs out and probably still never pay retail price for a barfine. A LOT easier to have that town wired than Jakarta, where considerable time and effort learning the language is required to reap the considerable benefits Mx has in his hip pocket.

There are a choice of almost luxurious 3-star hotels for 170 to 200 rmb a night. As good if not better than AC's Royal Amsterdam from my personal experience incl of breakfast (chinese).

Western Food? There always good ole Mac if you wanna economize.

Others, I never looked cos when in "Rome, do as the Romans do", my philosophy.

For CP, if I wanted to relax and have alcohol early in the day, I just bring some (bottle) with me to the Foot or Body Massage joints and order ICE! You can have a more relaxing drink than that and some of the gals do like a tipple too. It makes for a merry session as we found!

The other thing we also discovered is that many of the younger ladies do want super long time bookings and will take time off to see you again and again when possible.

As far as the BBS is concerned, they can't leave during working hours.

For the Karaoke girls, they can absent themselves without penalties from what I hear and then, its a one 2 one deal that you can nurture!

Don't expect a decent looking desireable girl to be with you all night and day for 200 rmb and be happy for just the sex and entertainment.

Many people are return customers of CP because they have found that these girls here give a GFE experience that is getting more rare in the world of commercial sex even in Thailand and the Phils.

Its a competitive situation where some wealthy mongers do throw in the occasional HP which is most desired object of girls around the world.

I have been studying my maps of China and dont find Chang Ping in the south, I do however find a city in the north by that name. Where exactly, using Hong Kong as a start point is Chang Ping?

hehe, Comparing Filipino cuisine to Cantonese cuisine....... OK. But as your comments suggest, no one can make the comparison for themsleves until they really have experienced two places personally. However, I hope that with the reports here people have enough info to make a successful trip. CP (and Zhuhai) are not perfect and IMHO offer some great value for many things.

Crazier, nice suggestion about setting em up with your own liqour in foot massage. Now that sounds like fun. I am gonna try that next time. Bring on 202 at Walter Hotel, I bet with a couple of drinks she will just might be the low lying fruit book out!

Amazon is now closed (police order?). Flower street also seemed to no longer be welcoming freelancers. About 10 Yalan BBS still going strong. Quite difficult to find anything above an 8... IMHO. Pretty sure the Golden Era as described of a year and a half ago is over.

Amazon is history you need to go to Jaiyi. Same set up but the gauntlet room is more compact and karaoke rooms are newer/nicer. I have also seen the Flower street to be a name of the gauntlet, and there were never freelancers in the karaokes. Perhaps you are thinking of something else.

I agree that the BBS seen is definitely reduced from where it was when I took this trip.
