I needed a quick get away, so I booked a short trip to San Jose. I had been there a few times, but not in the past 2 years. I secured airline tickets and hotel reservations late on Monday and left early Thursday.... so this was a last minute trip.
The following is written as "a journal" of sorts. I usually take notes and compile a trip report from them, this time I brought my laptop and updated daily. It may be difficult to read or follow...

Anyway, this was my five days in San Jose.

Good Morning San Jose,

Its Friday, 29 september 930 local time.

Arrived yesterday , 6am from mci-atl, then a 1045 from atl-sjo. Utilized the crown room/business elite lounge in Atlanta for some quiet time and snacks.
Both flights were on time , service was ok, decent lunch on long leg, but really not up to business class standards.
Easy pass through customs, maybe 5 minutes. Then another 10 to get bag ( last off)
Arrived del ray, 2nd floor inside room small, crappy, tv remote wont work past 18 inches from set.a lonely roach in the bathroom seeking escape.
Best I could get on 2 days notice.
Made a quick run to masa x menos for a few soft drinks.barely enough room in the mini bar for them.

Friday 4pm

Tuesday October 3 12:30

Another mediocre sleep. What do I expect. Wandered down to my favorite breakfast spot. Picked up a few snacks and checked out. Nice taxi/van driver. Light rain, light traffic, check in and customs a joke. $26 departure tax gave the driver 8000 for the ride leaving me with 100 colones in local currency, a new record.
Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight.

In retrospect, would not stay at the Del Rey again, but wanted to try it once. Kind of fun having girls at your fingertips 24/7. The best chicas by far are at the Massage places for quality and service.

I went to Zona Blue 3 days in a row, service and facilities were great. 23,000 C or 20,000 if you have a VIP card??($45). Walking distance from downtown hotels. New Fantasy is a few blocks away from ZB, did not use them this trip but had in the past. Oasis is a $2 cab ride from downtown. Nice line up, but no beds, only massage table. Cheap at 10,000 for 1/2 hr/ 12,000 hr. ($23).
