One of the perks of staying at Novotel MD is the fact that Sands Spa is in the Mangga Dua Square Mall. MongerX had described this place in detail before. I will just give you my impressions of the place.

1. Go to the elevator and look up Sands Spa and go to that floor. Once you enter the Spa, you have to make a right and go through the lockers get to the real part of the Spa which looks brand new. To your left is a buffet of Chinese food and some local deserts. You can order soft drinks as well. Straight ahead is a reception desk. There is a sheet which states all of the prices but the main ones you need to know is 130,000 for local girl massage for 1.5 hours with oil or 170,000 for a Chinese girl but the massage is dry. Let them know what kind of girl you want if it makes a difference to you.

2. Go through a hallway and you will see to your right a large room with recliner leather chairs with speakers incorporated into the chairs. Large big screens all around. Flat screens must be dirt cheap in Indo because they are everywhere, even the shittiest venues. Go all the way to the back to an additional reception area where they give you your wrist attachment with a computer chip that opens your locker. Take off your shoes here and go to your locker. The robes are nice and very sumo-like. There is a long room next to the lockers where there are new razors, toothbrushes, hair gel, etc if you want to spruce up after your massage. Blow dryers also and large mirrors if you want to blow dry your hair Denny Terio style.

3. Take a shower and go to the sauna area which has herbs to help rid of skin impurities. You then go to the freezing cold water, followed by a fairly large jacuzzi with jets. Rinse, repeat. Take another shower if you wish and then head back to the reception area near the buffet and tables.

4. You will then be taken to a room which is elevated and decent size. The floors of the room are stained and glazed wood that might be teakwood. The mattress is flat on the floor and there is a opening to put your face through if you wish. The massage will be very strong and will actually hurt at times. I guess each girl has their own style but my girl was digging deep into areas not usually massaged like achilles tendon and lower triceps. Indo's like to do weird shit like try to crack your neck, toes and fingers which I hate and dont think is healthy but they dont understand why you dont want it as the Chinese must love it.
