Armenia:

Two weeks ago on a Cali Thursday morning, my buddy and I jumped into a taxi and started on our way to Armenia. We used a taxi driver named Oscar 315-566-3946 recommended by Robert (Medellin Bob). Oscar's taxi is airconditioned and he has a cd/dvd player so you can listen to music or watch music videos or movies on an overhead 12 inch LCD to pass the time. He has alot of Spanish title music videos and movies. On the way their I wanted to see the scenerey but on the way back I watched an excellent Ruben Blades concert video.

The trip either way was 2 1/2 hrs long. We went through 4 tolls each way. I assume we could have knocked off about 20 minutes if not for the slow down at the tolls. Other that that the trip was smooth back and forth.

We arrived at about noon in Armenia and I was immediately impressed with this small cities non-stop flow of beautiful women walking along the sidewalks going about their normal lives. Women everywhere! I was also impressed by the beauty of the women. So many gorgeous blondes, brunettes, etc. We stopped at a small cafe in the cetral area and watched the pussy parade. Many of the women made eye contact and respond to a friendly Ola or waive from my friend or myself. A few little smiles and a flipof the head back to us as they proceeded down the street.

We decided to see what the malls here had to offer so we went to one of the largest ones but i dont remember the name. The Mall is an indoor multi level one but it has a huge food court in the middle of the mall and a huge retractable dome roof. it was open this afternoon and sunlight flooded the food court. We ordered from Leno's y Carbon and I would say the prices are a bit cheaper than Medellin but in line with Cali. We almost got whiplash as we ate from girl spotting. I was wondering what being here on a Friday or Saturday night must be like.

After lunch we went over to a small toen square. Here we got a couple of cafes con Bailey's and sat with some of the old folks in the square's tree shade. We watched as some workers went about working on a large stage that was for a Saturdy Cultural event.

While we were in the square my buddy made a comment I really would not have thought of. He said he had noticed how few people in Armenia he saw smoking cigarettes. I hadn't noticed it before myself but now as I kept this in mind I would look for smokers and could not find any. I went rhough about a two hundred people in public before I spotted a guy smoking a cigarette. Just something to think about but I also noticed no ads for cigarettes either.

We decided to walk around a bit and went into various mini malls. At many of these places I saw great looking younger kids around here and future beauties playing aracde games.

We were passing by a toy store talking when a female voice shouted out "Hey, where you are from"? We turned and I saw a vision in a white top and blue jean skirt and all smiles. We back tracked and started a long conversation with a blonde sales girl and her brunette girlfriend in the toy store. Both had studied bit of English in high school but wanted to learn alot more. I told them about the Pimsleur courses but they were unfamiliar with it. We got both of their cell phone infos and promised we would be back in Armenia shortly and arranged to have dinner and go dancing. I thought giving them the Pimsleur lessons would be a nice added touch.

We had spent only 5 hours in Armenia and had already decided to add this to our regular places to visit. Unfortunately we had some commitments to attend to in Cali and we left at around 5:30pm. The one thing that I was dissapointed about was that their was no real daytime P4p venues. The taxi drivers we inquired with all agreed that the nightime disco/pickup places were the way to go.

I must say that Armenia is very pleasing to the eyes and the attitudes of the girls is very positive to foreigners. I think it is beacuse of the fact that not many gringos are seen here. I still don't know if this will be a monger destination per say but I know I will return very shortly.

Let me put my 2 cents in here. I have been using the rosetta stone online program, it cost like 140.00 every 6 months. I have to say it totally blows Pimsleur away. It gives you a more direct way of learning.(check out the demo online) The cool thing is, when you sign up you sign in with your email addy and create your own password. NOW you can give your girlfriend or friend the password to learn the language of your choice. The kicker is you have access to every language. Pimsleur you just listen and repeat. Rosetta Stone, you listen, repeat, read, spell and it has a voice recognition to grade you on your pronounciation. Awesome!
