This takes place the last day & night in Bangkok
I had called up bartendee to join me for the cooking class, as she was wonderful company to be with and her language skills far superior to many bg's i've taken out.
She showed up early as I had asked and I met her in MBK.
There's one thing I hadn't gotten over on this trip...and it wasn't the first day girl. It was the urge to spoil someone a little bit. I had come mentally prepared to relax, have some fun, do a little shopping and so far everything was going great but I had this urge to do a little spoiling. (note: in my book, that does not mean trips to the gold store).
There were a store I saw on the sixth floor that had some nice clothes there and I had already bought a sweater for someone I was planning to see in Pattaya. I took her back up there and showed her a few things. She liked one of them, a black top and I bought it for her. It was a bit more than some of the usual stuff at the market but the clothes had a nicer cut. It might have been Korean style that's all the rage now, but I don't know. She's wearing the top in this picture taken our last night together (the night of this posting i think..i may have lost a day in here somewhere)

As we were walking we passed an open table sale in the lobby. She wanted to get some face cream or something and when it came time to pay she looked at me. Usually that's a red flag, but I go ahead and pay and pleasently she says "ok enough!" and she's ready to go. We got back to the hotel in time do drop off some things and go back to the lobby to meet the cooking school van.
It looked like it is situated in a mixed use or residential neighborhood. The street small, and the buildings looked more like houses than large commercial structures. The facility was very nice and Thai-Modern. Each person had their own station as well as their own wok.
Pictured below, the instructor and her assistant. The assistant had excellent English skills and a very "cute" personality. Partly intentionally so, as their carefully rehearsed presentation tried hard to entertain as well as educate. Instruction was excellent and the experience totally worth it. Also pictured are a few of the dishes we made.
It was fun (I like to cook), I learned some new recipes and a few Thai cooking tricks, and most importantly had a chance to get to know bartendee better. She's really a sweet girl.

We went to go see a movie. It was "Recycle", I think a Korean movie dubbed to Thai with English Subtitles. Not too bad, a little strange, very surrealistic. Everyone enjoyed it ok.
Later, we went to dinner. We tried out a restaurant we hadn't tried before but perhaps many of you have been there. It's pretty well known.
It was a really good dinner and not that bad considering it's bangkok and had half a dozen people at the table. I think we spent about 10,000 baht.
By this time we got back to the hotel. I wasn't expecting anything really since she already told me she didn't go with men and that she was on the rag (menstuation). Sometime between the dinner cruise we were talking about a number of things and she had said that she couldn't just go with men, but if she really liked someone...
All the time I had known her I had treated her the way I treat the girls that I take out. Even though she wasn't "green" so to speak. She was clear about it from the beginning and I took her out for the companionship knowing that. Yet, in those couple of days, she was affectionate, we got along very well, even kissed and made out a little bit.
Tonight we had just finished a really nice day. 1st class all the way. cooking school, a movie, nice dinner and I was prepared to just relax and catch up on that day of rest I was needing.
Instead, as we were cuddling and kissing on the bed, and I forgot exactly what she said, but she let me know she was willing. Her menstruation was nearly over but she still warned me "it could be messy" leaving me an out if I was squeamish. She was a sweetie and we had spent some really good time together and I wanted her. I got a towel from the bathroom, just in case, spread it out on the bed and told her not to worry. It'd be fine. Back to sanuk, rubber'd up and had a great time.
It's funny how important having some kind (even a small) connection to the person is. It was like being with a girlfriend and I had absolutely no problem finishing up in a timely manner :D
She was great and we said our goodbyes in the morning when the car came to take us to Pattaya.

$250 for a meal in Bangkok is more expensive than what you would pay in many places in the USA. I could almost fly to Maine and eat lobster for that price. Seems as though the Seafood Market Restaurant has turned into a tourist trap as most drivers try to take you there so they can get their commission and at prices that exceed USA prices, thats a big commission.
The cooking school sounds like a fun time and the bartender girl is quite cute. What was the name of the place if you dont mind? Enjoy reading your reports.

great report. it's nice to mix in the touristy activities; sounds like you really planned them out. Let me tell you, she's got a real cute face.

Marley: The cooking school has a website Baipai.com The bar where the bartendee came from...Soi17 2/3 the way down on the right is all I can remember.
Blazers: The bill was partly our fault. There were half a dozen of us, and my friend from the states wanted some lobster. He ordered enough for everyone and if I recall the lobsters added up to almost 1/2 the bill. Still, the food was good and we ordered much more than we could eat.

I like your bartendee pick. It's usually feast or famine when it comes to my weeks in LoS and I love to keep an eye out for those little gems in order to break up the blissful monotony.
Re the cooking: I've taken some cooking classes in China, and the main problem I have is that many of the ingreds I cook with there are not in the US. Thus, I have to smuggle out spices, sauces, etc when I make trips! Assuming your from the US, are all the ingreds you used in your cooking class available to you here?

Don Marco:
Yes. most of them. I'm lucky enough to live near San Francisco, so I have more access than alot of people. There are several websites that will also sell you Thai (or Chinese) ingredients and spices but it's much more expensive.
You're not anywhere near the SF Bay Area are you? Can continue by PM if you like.
