Today I had scheduled a cooking course for Beam & I at the Marriot. The course is taught near the pool at the Manaloa Bar & Grill, their outdoor grill kitchen.

We had also invited both Meow & Thai to join us in eating, as the Marriot course always finishes with us making far more food than we can eat. Beam was pretty excited.

I don't know what it is about cooking but in February, Pook cooked some Curry and Larb Moo for me and i thought it was really nice. Ever since then my friends make jokes about putting a mop in the bg's hands so I can get really turned on... LOL it's not like that!

I had requested that the chef teach me a few new things not on their regular course (They are set up quite differently than Baipai as you actually speak to the chef instructor and she'll ask you what you want to make), so it was a little more of an odd mix than last time around, but I didn't want to learn the same things over again With the ingredients prepped and waiting for us we were ready to begin. I have to say Beam was just too cute in her apron and Chef's hat ;)




We were cooking and Thai showed up followed shortly by Meow.



Thai asked if she could try cooking and the chef was ok with it. She seemed to really have alot of fun.



After a really filling lunch the four of us went somewhere. I don't remember where at the moment, but day passed into night...I'm pretty sure this was the day we cut Meow loose. She was fine, but I didn't want to keep going threesomes every night and also wanted the opportunity to (just in case) have that third spot open if I saw someone I couldn't resist.

We paid bar and picked up Thai. Beam had been wanting to take Thai to taste the Som Tum at Secrets, which she really enjoyed. We hung out for a bit, had a good time and I flirted with Thai a bit to see if we could loosen her up a bit, including sharing one of those flaming towers of death that they make on the Secrets bar (it's actually pretty fun if you're the right person but if you let the temp of the alcohol get too high before drinking it can be a little rough going down :D).

We dropped off Thai and I ran into Martin (FLB) over at Yu's bar (Chica). Martin was having a good time and we sat for a while just talking and catching up. At one point, Martin says let me do something for you and the next thing I know I've got a python around my neck. Martin treats me to a polaroid of Beam, the Snake, and me. Thanks Martin. The typhoon had moved in so did the "big rain". That kept us put for a while and when a baht bus came around the corner we sprinted for it but still managed to get pretty soaked by the time we got on.

It was pretty late by then and it was a little while since I had Beam all to myself so we headed back for another nice night.

One thing did come up over the last two days and it was that Beam was feeling a little under the weather.

Q: how can you tell when your bg is really not feeling that great?
A: when she asks you to take her to the pharmacy, you buy her meds for her and she takes them.

Thai and Beam wanted to go disco so we tried to get in a few places. Thai has an ID problem so we can't get into several of the discos. We get into a bar, the one that they're pictured in front of, but it's early and pretty dead. We finally get into Tony's (they didn't ask for id). My first time there and it's interesting. No cover, but the drinks are pretty steep. I'm not sure I remember right but I think it was something in the range of 300-400 or even higher for cocktails. It was pretty crowded but we were able to get a few stools just short of the stage.

The girls took off the the bathroom and after a minute or two I hear a slap on one of the empty stools and a growl(?). This sorta MILF'y lady is giving me an expression and makes a noise somewhere between a growl and a whine at me. She wants attention. Then it's "where you from" etc... She's trying to talk to me but I'm pretty happy where I'm at and really I'm just waiting for the girls to get back. She tells me she's from Guam and some other stuff but I'm not really focused on what she's saying. She's pretty aggressive (not in a cock grabbing way, but in a needy I want your attention right now way) and is sending me a kind of strange vibe...or maybe it's just me. Either way, I'm not interested in buying whatever she's selling. She wants me to dance with her but I decline. I'm trying to enjoy people watching the people on the dance floor and stage and at the same time keep an eye on the drinks (i'm a little paranoid when it comes to not attending to my drinks in a crowded place). Eventually a black guy in hip hop clothes comes up and starts dancing with her and I'm left alone to do my thing.

The girls return shortly after that and they notice the prices on the drinks they've ordered "Paeng mak mak" they say and make a face of disapproval. "yeah I know. want to stay or go?" They're up for trying something else so we go out the back door into the soi and cross it over to what I was told is Tony's other club. I'm not sure what it's name was but you walk through a parking area, down a long hallway and into a club where there's a live band playing. Inside there were a few couples, and a table with four or so girls dancing with themselves. Although the set up isn't bad, it's pretty empty and the live singers seem almost lonely up on the podium style stage. It's getting late, so we stay for a round and then leave to drop off Thai at X-Zone to pick up her things and go home.

I remember my first trip to Thailand, I did more touristy things than mongering and loved it. You managed to do activities that the girls could get involved in and have a great time. Believe it or not, most of the Issan girls now have no clue how to cook Thai or Issan food so they are truly learning in classes like this. Larb moo was a good choice as it is a Lao/Issan staple and these girls probably loved it, although Thai looks to be from Chaing Mai.

How much were these cooking schools by the way. I did a cooking school for Indian food in BKK from an Indian restaurant there that I cant recall now but it included trips to the market to identify ingrediants. This is one of the things that other mongering destinations lack...fun things to do during long mongering trips. If you are going for a couple days then all you have time to do is fuck, drink and sleep. On longer trips, you need to break up the trip into other activities to keep you fresh.

One thing you should watch out for is becoming an easy mark for Thai girls. You seem to be an easygoing and freespending guy(jai dee) and Thai girls will mistake that for weakness most of the time and will start asking for money as soon as you get back to your home. In addition, some girls will take advantage of that and really work their charm to get you to drain your bank accounts faster than you realize. Dont let your heart run your trip.

One last thing...anyone that says that filipina bargirls are as hot as Thai bargirls are NUTS.

Your caution is appreciated. I'm somewhat cured of that, as I've had a Pinay Chat Girl as a GF before. Back then I did the whole "first girlfriend sponsor thing".

I keep in touch with her online from time to time now, just to get a good dose of her game playing to remind me not to send money.

In AC, your got a small cluster of bars/girls and the #s are not comparable to LoS. The MEDIAN gal in both places are dogs. IMHO, hotties run around 2-4%, and that holds true in AC and LoS. So yes, in raw #s there are many more hotties in LoS, but you also have to wade thru the corresponding number of fat ass, over the hill hags that are trying to hit you up for a singha.

There are hot gals in AC-- period. Sure, you may have to walk in every bar looking for that certain someone, but I've done the same in LoS many days. If only AC was bigger and I had some nooks and crannnies to hide in, it would be awesome... unfort it doesn't.

While I have an easier time pulling good looking girls with the attitudes I like in PI over Thailand, obviously it works the other way for other guys. However, I will say I just got back from five nights in AC and I certainly wasn't fucking girls from the hottie bins. This trip was just off enough that I will give Thailand another shot next Spring before I give AC another go.
