have been to Shampoo before, located down the street several blocks from Buenos Aires' famed La Biella restaurant.

Usually you will be stopped en route by a toute bearing certificates offering a second free drink. Don't bother to talk to him, but be sure to accept one. In my recent experience, they didn't restrict one to 'nacional' drinks, although I only drank Corona beer -- considered by some clubs a 'nacional' drink -- BEWARE.

They charged $40 (pesos) for entry, with a coupon for a drink (cover) plus the toute's ticket entitled me to a second drink.

The club was the same as it was this Spring, modernized, with not too much pressure from the 'girls' --- only one woman will approach you at a time, unless she has a 'girlfriend' and smells' money. They seem to start at asking $300 for a very short time, but reality eventually sets in. They told me the house minimum was $100.00

The club is located underground/downstairs in the famed Recoleta District, named for the famous cemetery with three and more story vaults and headstones where Eva Person (following worldwide travels of her body) finally was entombed). It's a fantastic site, amazingly enough.

It was well after midnight when I arrived and the ratio of men to women was two to one, but it quickly changed to three to one; women to men.

Previous experience has shown, that even though a woman will say she will 'spend the night' with you, she will make every effort to be back at Shampoo before it closes, around 2:30 when it begins its closing throes as they look for one last customer -- no matter how badly that customer they left in the hotel room thinks, he thought he paid for a full night. Nothing short of a written contract is enough to keep some women from taking off back to the club at about 2:00 a.m. (or a fantastically good time).

The women of Shampoo tend to be mostly older, and as remarked by others, the advanced theater lighting seems to help the attractiveness. Many are part-timers, often mothers, and often live in outlying districts for which transportation is expensive, and must wait until commuter transport begins in the A.M. just to get home.

I was immediately approached by a young woman, 23, who had a beautiful face, a very attractive manner, a Porteno (Buenos Aires resident) who could easily have once been a high school cheerleader in the U.S., but whose hips had grown somewhat large, concealed by excellent lighting.

She was, however, extremely 'cute' and attractive and had a nice manner -- a
'10' in the personality department with and extremely seductive manner.

Soon, however, she moved to introduce her 'girlfriend' and suggested that it would be 'worth it' for them to go with me for a lesbian 'show' to which I deferred.

I told her that in my experience most girls who engage in 'shows' either just want to please each other or spend their time talking (in language I don't understand), then conspire to leave as early as they can -- the exact opposite of what I'm looking for -- good, close sex and intimacy.

The other girl was a little younger, say 21 or 22, and blonde, but not especially noteworthy.

They both tried to 'work me over', and eventually I agreed to buy the first girl (only) a drink which I specified would be 'nacional' but the bartender served up a concoction for which he charged 80 pesos, and although I felt like balking, I just chalked it up to experience and made a resolution to write to mongers 'BEWARE' about buying drinks in Shampoo -- they'll intentionally disregard your wishes and overcharge you, and try to embarrass you if you object.

I mentioned that for the first young women, I would be interested in the sex she suggested for 200 Pesos, although she outright had told me it would be $200 for an hour and a half or two.

She then just turned and just walked away -- just like that.

No 'thank you' or negotiation -- just turned her back coldly and that 'warm personality' that '10' manner, just turned into a 'shun'.

I talked with other 'girls' -- but no chemistry and my interest was dwindling with the late hour.

Later she returned and said (as male customers dwindled and the evening grew late -- and me tired) that we try to work something out, she suggested maybe less time than 'all night' which I need to get a woman worked up properly (sometimes they even want to stay for breakfast and spend the morning with me -- or even hang for a day or a week).

I said nothing doing -- I needed the time to do my 'thing' or nothing. (She said she had a young daughter, parents were taking care of it, and she was a 'waitress' -- a familiar story, which I believe was true) but the child's welfare didn't seem to figure into it.

However, I'm sure by early morning there'd be a series of cell calls, no matter how long she promised to stay, and she'd try to excuse herself, based on experience (one way is to insist on mobile (cell) phones and SMS messaging being 'turned off' for the duration -- until a set hour and no advance taxi pickups made.)

The deal breaker for me was that she said she was 'hot for men' (men got turned on) but that she seldom had substantial orgasms with men -- ('men is bad for me',) while giving a woman lots of orgasms turns me on and keeps me going. No mention was made of her 'show' lesbian partner, and what role she would have filled in that department if she were present.

Further as the evening wore on, she told me she 'loved me' and wanted to 'fuck me', and I just deferred and told he outright, 'I am not the man for you,' you will be disappointed. 'I would not please you, and she would not have a smile on your face; it would be too much like hard work.'

She had told me that men did not 'do well' by her. I didn't want to join the list.

In previous outings to this club, in Spring, I ended up with one of the nicest GFE's in my life, with a women who allowed me to photograph everything, gave me her e-mail address (which I have) an invitation to contact her when I came to town, (possibly for dinners, etc.) and we had a wonderful time -- with her overstaying her time by double or triple and leaving with genuine tears (told to me by my doorman -- concealed from me) in her eyes -- I left because I had a plane to catch).

On a separate time, also this Spring, I invited two young women, and they also allowed all sorts of photography of everything, (which they unbelievably hammed up), but were more intent on being photographed than in the actual 'pleasing' department. They talked a lot in Spanish (I have limited understanding) among themselves) and although they were signed out for 'all night' managed to slip out just before 'Shampoo' closed, probably to return to the club for one more 'John'.

None of the latter three 'girls' was earlier than her mid '20s or later, but interestingly the oldest was also absolutely the very best -- a great, pleasing lover who had many, many orgasms, and easily doubled what had been her personal 'record' (she had confided to me) and left exhausted with a great smile on her face. She was also quite attractive with a figure that was excellent; by contrast the first of the two women noted above in her early '20s already has 'middle age spread' in her hips, though her face was extraordinary -- a football player's heartthrob (her 'friend' much less so).

I give Shampoo two **s for the women, three ***s for the ambiance with a show and then ending with soft porno movies projected, a respectful ambiance, with ample couch seating for discussions, drinking, negotiations, and no excessive hustling, falling short in the 'hot' women department, but the women seemed to have a more 'genuine' quality to them than in some clubs -- true more of part-timers and semi-pros which this club tends to attract, I understand.

Based on your report I will make sure I skip visiting Shampoo should I ver return to BA.

In 2002 I had an apartment in the Recoleta district on Supaccia street down the block from Gattos and Hook. Got some great GFE's out of there. Went around that bi mall that has the McDonald's and Hooters and about 20 restaurants and a disco at the end. Great place to people watch on the weekend. Especially cool is when bridal showers have a flock of girls surrounding there grilfriend whom they make wear a corsette or a teddy and a vail and high heels as they parade around the place and hit the discos.

In front of Recoleta cemetary is that long row of restaurants and disco where high end girls hang out. My buddy and I got picked up while eating by theses two sweethearts. We did the swinger thing by swapping and sometimes double teaming.

The best girl I picked up was a Street Walker near the park where they have the fair on Sunday's. Just and awesome body/face/hair etc. All for $70 pesos shorttime in a cool $10 peso hotel that had one of the wlls of the shower facing the bedroom that was glass so you could watch your stuff while you shower but more importantly watch the chick shower. On a side note, I agree that the Recoleta cemetary is a sight worth noting. Anyway, I think I suggest that the next time you find yourself in Buenos Aires with some time on your hands you should check out Mar de Plata and/or take a short hop to Uraguay to Punte del Este and Montevideo. Hot chicks at much lower prices than Buenos Aires.

Thanks for the report Cameraguy. Personally, I like Shampoo and consider it a valuable addition to the BA scene. I stop in every time I'm in town. I have found the selection and quality is generally quite good, there are usually a few hotties in their early twenties on any given night. The service is hit and miss. First trip I had two disappointments; my last trip two great girls. I agree they tend to want to get back to the club on time, or sooner. The club 'interview' process is therefore key here. Thanks for the warning on the club drinks, I am beginning to learn it is always a good practice to confirm the exact drink price with the waiter before he/she goes off to get it. I also like the ambiance at Shampoo and plan on stopping in again on my next trip to BA.

I was there once this March. I just wanted to see what type of girls they had in there. They said no problem. They brought some girls over and brought some drinks. Then they wanted me to pay for those drinks I for those soda at $40p per drink. I refused and the hostess stood in my way so I couldn't leave. I just pushed passed her and walk out of there. Those people are really desparate in there. They don't get much traffic being located away from the other clubs.
