One thing for sure about Jakarta, it is a mongering place unique in so many ways. It's not an easy place to navigate and would take years before you could even scratch the surface of all the available venues in this city. MongerX was a great copilot and gave me the highlights of the local scene. It will take me several trips before I can make a determination about how I feel about the place but so far I would say that I like it as a mongering destination. All mongering destinations have their flaws and no place is perfect. If I could get a place with the price of the Philippines, the amenities of Thailand, the sweet demeanor of Filipinas, the beauty of Thai girls along with the service of Indonesian girls then it would be a perfect mongering destination. Add in that the hotels of Pattaya, the shopping in Bangkok, the food of Jakarta and the comraderie in AC and it would be beyond perfect. For now, each destination has their own charm and I always like them more with each passing trip. Read my first report on the Philippines and compare it with later ones and you can definately see that I ended up loving the place after having mixed feelings on my first trip.

As far as the good and bad of Jakarta, here goes:

THE GOOD:

1. The people are amazingly nice and kind. Never had any hassles from anyone and the local mongers seem to have a great attitude.
2. The food may be the best in Asia. I am a huge fan of Thai food but Indonesian food is right there. Eating Nasi Padang for the first time was an eye-opener of just how superb Indo food is.
3. The girls can be very beautiful at times and normally dont have kids.
4. The diversity of venues is awesome. Brothels, massage parlors, freelance discos, upscale spas....all are great in their own way and all provide unique experiences.
5. Sands Spa may be one of the best values in the world. You can read my review to get more details but it's amazing what you can get for less than $20US.
6. Service of the girls is normally great. Havent had the PSE so much yet but they are there to please you and are attentive to your needs as long as you are reasonably nice to them.
7. Extremely tight pussies. Nearly every girl feels like a virgin.
8. Blue Bird taxi may be the only third world taxi service that always uses their meters. I hate taxi drivers so this avoids arguments and fights.

THE BAD:

1. I honestly dont like the mamasan system and hate the in-your-face nature of the presentation of the girls. I am figuring out ways to get around it or work with the mamasans but it will take some time.
2. Absolutely zero English outside of Block M. Knowing Bahasa is a must IMHO. Thai girls are fluent in English in comparison if that says anything.
3. Not a lot of hotel choices in the Kota area. Novotel is a great place but the front desk is horrible and the place isn't cheap but still a great value in all. Sparxx is too noisy. The other hotels are dated and overpriced.
4. Nearly the entire brothel/bar scene is based on short time sessions in filthy short time rooms.(Hotel Travel and Stadium the exceptions) This takes away from sessions in your hotel where you can take better photos, the session more relaxed and the ameneties better. You can get freelancers at Block M but it is way fucking far away and I havent had enough experience there to make a decision about the place.
5.Hard to navigate the place at first as the venues are all over the place and not so easy to find.
6. Many of the girls scared of bule's and absolutely refuse to go with you. They think we all have giant horse cocks and they dont like the fact that we dont speak Indonesian usually. Has to be the only destination in the world where hookers rejected me...actually couple places in Batam gave me the same problem.

Overall had a great time there and will return but I wont go back until I can understand rudimentary Indonesia.

Couple other things that I forgot to mention in my report.

1. If you want cheap DVD's then go to Mangga Dua Mall. Most of the DVD's are 5,000Rupiah(50cents) unless they are imports from Malaysia and China and then the prices are usually 10,000 but can be as high as 25,000. I cannot recommend the software as nearly all of them come without a keygen or a keygen that doesnt work. Great place to find Asian cinema DVD's not yet released in the US, especially some great Korean, Hong Kong and Thai movies.

2. On the bottome floor of Mangga Dua Square, there is a beauty salon called Casanova. You can get facials for 40,0000RP, haircuts for 20,000 and manicures for 20,000. Cute girls and great service.

3. Make sure you always have condoms on you when you go to the brothels or the attendants will try to force you to buy one for 10,000 and most of the girls will now require you to use them, unlike other destinations.

4. Very few money changers in the Chinatown area but there is one at Lokasari Plaza that gives decent rates and one close to Stadium Disco acroos the street on Hayam Waruk. The best ATM is at BTI(?) at Hayum Waruk Plaza near Stadium as you can get 2,500,000Rp at a time where most will only allow 500,000-1,000,000.

I have hung around a great # of mongers as you have, and I'll stand by my statement that, "I rarely if EVER see it in all my travels regardless of who I am with" as fact including in Indo. Sure girls bullshit and joke about cock size all day and night, but come on... that means about as much as "I love you" after fucking her for 10 minutes.

Thanks for posting the report and, as always it was a pleasure to travel with you. A couple of reactions to your comments here.

If you think the language is an issue in Jakarta, then you really need to consider yuor plans to go to China. If there is zero english in Jakarta, then there is way less than zero in China.

One strategy you may want to employ if you want more sessions back in your room. The girls at Stadium 3rd floor certainly seem willing to come by Kota hotels in the early afternoon before there shifts. Many massage girls certainly will do house calls, I am still surprised you didn't have that tropical girl come over. TC's girls can be booked to your room, either ST (250 to 300K) or LT for only 500K. Also, you should invest some time in playing in the main lounges of KTV's like Emporium, Crown, etc. as you can drink with the hostesses not booked at regular prices in the lounge. They get off work after 12 -2AM and will follow you out after if they like you. Got to charm these girls. There is a take out booking joint at Taman Sari 75 that will give you 3 or 4 hours for 300K I believe. I hope this tells you that there are lots of options, but it's not so point and click as one site ST. And of course, you pretty much can't get sneak outs from Kota Indah, Travel Hotel (except maybe the billard room girls) and other such places.

As for hotels in Kota Indah. Mecure Rekso is pretty nice and the same price as Novotel with breakfast. The rooms are not as new and with a couple of quirks but it is still a good quality room. The La Granduer (former Dusit Mangga Dua) attached to the Mangga Dua Mal is definitely a 4* place to western standard. Rooms are darker and a little smaller than Novotel, but the linens and furnishings are better quality. It's also in the $50 a night range. Also, there is the Ibis Mangga Dua a 3* western standard place that is walking distance to Kota Indah and about the same price as Sparks. The food there sucks though.

As for moneychangers the two you are describing on Hayam Wuruk across from Stadium are Dollar Rindo and I forget the name of the other two. Actually there rates are kind of sucky but they are open 24 hours. There is money changer in Mangga Dua Mal. Also there is one across from the Novotel on Gunung Sahari. I personally use the the last one in a group of three found on Gunung Sahari on the left hand
side around the Honda motorcycle dealership past Mangga Besar. Their rates rock!

As for girls wanting refusing to go with you. Well it kind of sucks, but I actually appreciate that a girl signals she doesn't feel it rather than ACTING like she is hot to go and delivers a shitty rip off session. I have had that happen more often than I like in Thailand, Cambodia, and PI. Except in the bule venues, like Blok M you don't get that. The signals tend to be true. For my tastes, there are more than enough very hot and attractive girls that I almost always find one with dream looks, dream attitude, that delivers a dream session. Perhaps you think you are just more picky than me?

Blazers, again, fantastic report. Re: your conclusions, your thoughts tend to echo mine in a lot of respects. I have been pretty lazy about posting about most of my Indo adventures over the last year-plus, but I'm glad to see that guys like you are picking up that slack and continuing to post great reports. There have been a number of excellent Indo trip reports over the last year, and this is the latest and among the best.

As I've mentioned before, I also am uncomfortable about the mamasan-based mongering rubric and being unable to communicate in such situations is also very frustrating. I really envy MongerX and his ability to navigate that system, and it really pays off for him. I don't have any problem getting LAID in Jakarta -- no one will (though Blazers is right about some girls being highly stuck up about going with bules, at least bules that don't speak the language, something I also found to be the WORST at TC's myself), but I also would never rank my Jakarta short time sessions anywhere near as highly as my average session in Angeles City. For those reporting that they're getting the ultimate in quality sessions in Jakarta, happy to hear it, but I'm not getting those same results.

Of course what I AM getting there is SUPER high quality compared to most mongering destinations I have tried outside the Philippines and Batam: The girls are quite sweet and will generally do what you want to please you, and tend not to whine or get tired in the process. If you want them to, they literally WILL fuck you through the mattress. But while it's probably not FAIR to compare good attitudes and competence in the room to what always seems to be fairly TRUE GFE in the Philippines, I often find myself doing just that. To Jakarta's immense credit on the mongering charts, though, the quality you can usually expect when making a "point and PAY" transaction is VERY high. I don't think anyone should expect more than that, but I have a bad habit of constantly comparing everything to AC, which is a completely different scene than Jakarta.

I also have been frustrated by the short-time based scene in Jakarta. MongerX posted some excellent tips about possible work-arounds for this, and I'm sure doing all of those things would pay enormous dividends. But personally, again, I'm used to it being EASY (and CHEAP, lol!) like in AC and Batam, and in Jakarta you have to work a bit harder and/or pay a bit more and/or speak the language a bit.

My ratings of destinations would probably not be the same as anyone else's, but for ME, I have never found anyplace that can compare to Angeles City. And all in all, I far prefer the booking system model in Batam to the short time brothels of Jakarta. But for ME, GFE and cheap long time are the ultimate. If I wanted to bang as many hotties without strings as possible (as I would imagine most guys on this site would!), and didn't mind paying 30+ USD for short time on average in the process, I would imagine Jakarta is the PERFECT destination. I mean there are ADVANTAGES to not speaking the language: Absolutely NO drama can result when you can't even talk to the girl! Whoremongering at its' very purest!

Which, believe me, holds tremendous appeal sometimes. I had a great time doing 2-3 short times a day in Jakarta for a week this summer, especially after I arrived severely PUSSYWHIPPED by a GF in AC and a clingy fave in Batam too. Laying PIPE for a week in Jakarta with anything that moved REALLY hit the spot!
