Originally I had planned to attempt a masterpiece of a report with blow by blow details, fancified language, and witty dialogues. Well, screw that. Cutting it down to barebones.

Background
After a string of recent dreadful dating experiences, I decided to once again take a straight up sex vacation. Clear out the tubes and just enjoy the physical pleasures free of head games. Prior to this, I had taken 4 trips to Margarita Island, Venezuela. The last one was nearly two years ago. I stayed initially at all-inclusives and mixed in more independent time with each stay. Getting there and getting ready
Visa: Used www.visaexpress.com Tab ran about $170 including fees, visa payment, and mailing costs. Had my passport stamped and back in 5 business days. Only trouble was that I only received a 90 visa. I wrote 5 year tourist visa please on the form. It was issued out of Houston.
Flights: Used www.smartfares.com Out of NYC on a Thursday night and back on a Sunday morning on American Airlines. E-ticketed for $752.00 including all taxes and fees. Times chosen for both cost and to fit my schedule.
Apartment and ground service: Scoped out a few brokers and services, but went with www.amerioca.com after reading many good reviews here. Key was ensuring that I would have a place with a girl friendly doorman. Cell phone rental, airport pickup, and high speed ‘net in apartment was a bonus. I was unsure on booking about using the guide service and did not need to commit to it until I got there. They were easy to deal with and responded very quickly on the phone and through e-mail.
Key items packed in: pile of business cards with my Copa address and cell phone number, 4 large boxes of high quality chocolates, lots of my favorite brand of condoms and lube, manicure kit, my laptop, scented candles, masks for shy girl photoing, and room aerosol spray.

Arriving to Rio
Smooth transfer in Sao Paulo for the short flight to Rio. Short walk after a quick screening of my carry on bag. NO Smoking in SP airport which sucked. Cheap chair massages were tempting. ?R30? For 15 minutes?
Arriving in Rio (GIG). Again, a short walk. Zipped right through customs. Driver Pedro was waiting outside. We had a smoke and I exchanged a couple hundred US$ at what Pedro said was the same rate in Copacabana (it was). Drove me into Copa getting to Amerioca at about 1:30pm

Meeting the Amerioca dudes and day one
For some reason I expected Don and Ken to be in their 60s. Telling them this, Don said his liver was with a deadpanned delivery. Mood was relaxed and Don took me the two blocks to my apartment. The apartment was a block off the beach pretty much right behind Help. I was absolutely thrilled. Third floor up a quaint elevator. Two bedrooms, one with a king sized bed (fuck bead) and one with a queen (sleep bed). Lots of seating, good sized TV with cable, stereo system, high speed ‘net, decent kitchen, and a large shower in the bathroom. Don says he owner this one and lived there himself for a couple years. Gave me the tour and I unpacked and showered.
Headed back to Amerioca and decided to go with the full guide thing with little conversation about it. Just went on gut feeling. Picked up my cell phone and went ahead and paid the whole bill upfront. Ken suggested a therma run, but I instead wanted to take it easy and had him call a Karla’s girl for me.
Gleyce was great and we went two rounds in two hours for R100 + R50 for taxi. That night I dined at The Office and picked up a girl at Terra Atlantico.

The days blur together…
Honestly I started losing track of day and time quickly. Weather was often a bit crappy. Barely got to the beach at all. No real touristy stuff. Pretty much just a straight up sex tour. I may as well just categorize activities:

Line up of girls in front of Help, and in the seating area starting 9pm or so and running very late. Often more than 50 just before midnight. Some drug trade occurs here. The woman selling candies has more than sugar. For daytime action, I did not pick one up, but Café Havana two blocks north by the still closed Meia Pataca is the place for mid and late afternoon. Four late evening pickups. (one was a repeat) All went back to my apartment for R100 for an hour. Overall good, 2 of the three awesome. Barbarella’s (a strip club)
You could barely call it a strip club by American standards. Very lame with random topless girls barely moving on a couple shitty stages. By far the worst experience of the trip. Got tagged about R100 for 4 drinks. Took an English speaking girl who was great in the bar to my place for R300. Screwed up and paid first. Ended up kicking her out after about 15 minutes with her complaining she was tired and giving a truly awful performance. I will NEVER go to a strip club in Rio again. I knew better when I went, but curiosity got the better of me. Other than the girl troubles, the place was just simply over priced and lacking in entertainment.

HELP
I only went in once. As I was running solo, I went by myself. Hopefully it is more fun with a group. Ending up picking up a girl too quick and did not do much of an interview. Turned out she was fairly high and the lights in my apartment did her no favors. No need to finish this story…

Therma Take-Out Girl
On first 4x4 run I met Deborah after a session with another girl while relaxing in the VIP lounge. She came up and sat down and started working on me. No intention of sessioning again anytime soon, I told here I was dead. She seemed not to be put off and I bought her a coke. -Second visit I was riding a high form a double apartment visit. Picked Bebel who looked like a recent girlfriend minus 30 pounds. Went whole hog and got the Sultan Suite for 90 minutes. Expensive, but very cool.

Skip Help/TA altogether (well, maybe once) Bring more chocolate. Learn a little more Port, but not so much that I have to listen to life stories, but more for interviewing. Use Don and Ken again for apartment, cell, and airport; but maybe not full guide service as I learned so much (still, I must see Ken robbing it up at a therma of course) Rent a small dog for the length of the trip. Find better places to eat regular meals. Still hit The Office for sports and camaraderie. Bring more ‘real’ toilet paper from home. Steal a 4x4 robe. And a L’Uomo silky girls robe. Continue to read and post at Club Homre.

Chocolate was a great way to kill time during a break in sessions and sugar charge them back up for round for round two.
Manicure kit was for me. I like my nails in good shape. No way am I going to let a garota touch my kit and risk my good sissors, clips, boards, and buffing blocks getting swiped.
Candles and spray for anti stink and smokeyness rather than mood.
Masks came in very handy. Ones that were set against photos went for it when offed a mask no problem. Some found it humorous or kinky. One had me bang her while wearing one. My Port too weak to debate and I to cheap to offer even a few bucks for photos.
Small dog is a joke regarding Don and Ken's puppy that hangs out at the shop. People off the street come up to the dog all day to pet it. I suggested they start renting out the runt or offering a discount for people to take it. It is too small to bugger anyway.
