OK, so I don't submit my trip reports in the timliest of manners, so to rectify the situation, Hunterman taught me a new word: CONTEMPORANEOUS. Basically, he told me to write me report as it happens, that way my lazy ass won't procastinate as I am usually wont to do.

I'm writing this report via the free in-room wi-fi of the Vault Hotel, Pattaya. This place is the perfect hub for hobbying activities while in Pattaya, but more on that later.

TRAVEL DAY:
I departed IAD on the new UA non-stop to NRT. Got a GREAT fare of $893.00 r/t IAD-BKK. UA just started this route last month, so I recieved a 2,500 MP bonus (EQM also!). The only drawback was that the ticket was not upgradeable, but I was able to get row 30, which is the big exit aisle on the 777 allowing maximum legroom.

This would be my third trip to LOS this year, and I was amped because one of my homies, (I'll call him Johnny) would be coming along to bust his Asia cherry. I've spun tales of the charms of the Orient to all my friends, but no one would ever take the trip. As we boarded our 14 hour flight, Johnny was skeptical about LoS and pissed and moaned all the way to NRT.

We landed at Midnight in BKK, and blew through customs, got our bags and were in the cab to NEP by 1AM. The ride from the new airport was actually quicker than from Don Muang, and we were checked into our rooms at the Majestic Grande by 1:45. Johnny was blown away by the hotel and the fact that our rooms were only $65USD/night (compared to several hundred for a comparable room in the States).

We hustled over to NEP, and he was dumbstruck as we made our way up to Angelwitch. When we walked in, the stage was packed, and Dave the Rave was holding court. I met a couple of cool cats including Fun4Sven who is a great guy.

While Dave and I were backslapping and catching up on old times, Johnny, who must of reekd of newbie, was assualted by a comely lass, and I had to gently explain to him the HE was the customer, it was HIS vacation and HIS $$$, so it was OK for him to tell her to back off. He eventually got rid of her and just sat dumbstruck as the AW girls strutted their stuff.

As always, the quality in AW was good, but I was surprised at the this crowd of mongers in NEP, being the high season and all. I BF'ed a lovely named Wa, great face, spinner and sweet personality. She was loath to many photos, this was all I was able to take of her:

Johnny picked a spinner as well, and a group of 4 of us left Dave to his paperwork,a nd set off for dinner and an after-hours joint in the vicinity of Soi 5.

Johnny was a little nervous as we set off down one of the ubiquitous Bangkok alleys and ended up at very nice Thai eatery. The after hours joint was a small but very hip bar/pool hall, and there were STUNNER pool sharks freelancers in the place.

We made it back to the hotel around 4am, but prro Wa was drained. "We sleep now, make love in the morning, OK, she asked. Hell no, not after 24 hours of travel! So she proceeded to give me pretty good BBBJ and I happily dozed off...

Great start. What was the name of the after hours pool hall you guys went to. I will be arriving next week on the same late UA NRT-BKk flight, and want somewhere to go if I have any delays getting to NEP.

I used to stay at Majestic Grande but now I'm a cheap charlie and stay at Majestic Suites.

Great write up so far. I always enjoy breaking in someone new to a scene.

I stayed at the Majestic Grande my last trip and was impressed with the accomodations. I used to stay at the Magestic Suites, but found the rooms to be too small and arrival at the hotel was always a problem with it having no driveway.

I will be back in LOS Dec 23rd and this will be my first trip where I go straight to Pattaya from the airport. My decision was based on my understanding that the airport is now alot further from Bangkok (and much closer to Pattaya). Reading your description of your trip into Bangkok makes me reconsider....

Sounds like high season this year won't be as crowded as years past...

AV8TR - the after hours spot has no name, however it is down a tunnel it shares with SIN Club, and judging by the logo,it's owned by the same people that own SIN over by NEP. I was actually surprised by how fast the ride was from the new airport to NEP.

BAMBU - Yeah, BKK seemed kinda dead for high season, but RUN DON'T WALK to Pattaya. When you get there, hit the Lucifer Disco on Walking Street; you will be treated like a piece of meat!

WEDGE - I checked e-mail occasionally, but had my hands full keeping Johnny from commiting suicide by orgasm. I'll call you Tuesday afternoon (your time) to give you the run down!
