1. Angeles

I discovered many good reasons to give thanks last November in Angeles City, and elected to give it another go this year. I must have pulled in just behind the boat from the provinces, because most of my picks were fresh off it. Fortunately, I hit the ground running with a satisfying exception: spied her in one of the perimeter bars playfully flashing her perfect breasts, and whisked her off without hesitation. She was relentlessly good-natured, affectionate and enthusiastic, and, endearingly, maintained constant contact thru the night. I might have spent a few days with her, as she offered, had her period not arrived with the morning.

I later nabbed a stunner as beautiful as any I've ever seen in AC who categorically refused to be photographed, insisted on short time and consistently manifested an entirely Thai-like professionalism.

Thereafter I was plagued (or blessed, depending upon your disposition) by maids not far removed from maidenhood. While it's a novelty to furrow where few have plowed, breaking 'em in gets old fast. I'm out there for recreation, not labor, fer chrissake. In one case, such was the inexperience and tentativeness in room of a girl who had in bar implied much greater lubricity that I contemplated taking her back and advising the mamasan that she should not be barfining.

Even in Cebu I fell upon an absolute gem who is probably by now an absolute monster (and I mean that in a GOOD way), but at my moment had experienced exactly two Japanese customers, and frequently punctuated our well-lubricated efforts at breach with exclamations of "many blood" while rushing to the bathroom. In our eventual success, which had not always seemed inevitable, she showed considerable promise, sadly destined to be savored by someone else.

These experiences underscore how a random handful does not constitute a reliable sampling. There are dozens of bars in Cebu, scores in Angeles, hundreds in Bangkok, thousands in Pattaya, and it's likely that in all but the tiniest your experience on Tuesday will be different than it was on Monday. I squandered precious time on duds in Dollhouse, recoiled at Club Rio's altogether-too-seedy upstairs (c'mon, the bed was wet at 2 PM!), didn't see a single contestant worth bothering with at Kokomo's wild pool party, and, more to my amazement, pulled a sweet one out of Blue Nile. And each and every lady asked for condom. Go figure.

Meanwhile, there are a bunch of new hotels in AC asking $50-100 a night. I don't consider this particularly promising, being, for all their shortcomings, a big fan of the Swiss Chalet / Royal Amsterdam / Central Park triumvirate. The AC powers-that-be seem to see their future as catering to high-rolling gamblers, golfers and weekenders, so enjoy it while it lasts.

2. Cebu

Cebu is an altogether different animal. Hotels can be found in the same bargain ballpark, or even cheaper if you're willing to stay in what some call the "pimp" area on Sanciangko Street, at places like Hotel Sogo or City View (P 7 or 800.) This downtown nabe is walking distance from some attractions and shopping. I prefer Eddie's Hotel on F. Manalo Street, literally around the corner from a fine row of bars on either side of General Maxilom Avenue.

These go-go & KTV joints are mostly pricier than the equivalent in AC: several demand a P 2000 barfine plus another 2000 for the girl, though, perplexingly, a club literally next door might ask as little as 1400 all-in. Still, you're less likely to have an unsatisfactory experience because the girls are more motivated. They just don't get barfined as much as stars in Angeles, so are especially eager to build repeat clientele. And cherry girls are largely unheard of.

You'll find no shortage of 4'9" pixies in Cebu, but generally the ladies are taller and more buxom, possibly a result of Spanish penetration. While some are local, and many are college girls who work only occasionally to pick up tuition money, others come from provinces or even Manila to escape the threat of family or friends cottoning to their true endeavors.

The girls often speak better English than their AC counterparts, perhaps due to both a generally higher education level and, oddly, the necessity to communicate with Japanese and Korean businessmen who constitute their regular clientele. It's amusing in some bars to watch them swarm when a couple of Koreans pull in, because these fellows reflexively buy lady's drinks for any and all.

3. LoS

My first few hours in Bangkok were devoted to renewing an acquaintance with a Soi Cowboy fave of flawless configuration and time-tested attitude. That out of the way, I meandered over to NEP to look up Dave, but, sadly, it was his day off, so I climbed upstairs to some joint across the way in the corner on the third floor, therein promptly noting 5 or 6 dancers more suited to my tastes than most in Angeles. AC is a smorgasbord, LoS a cornucopia.

Pattaya too was reliable, except for a fruitless early afternoon stroll up and down Soi 6. No worries: I sauntered over another block and enjoyed the boisterous ministrations of Soapie Amazon.

And around midnight I found, to my amazement, a slender beauty who had survived the usual late-night picked-clean ravages at the Super bars. Though her mamasan insisted on payment in full up front, the mama was just trying to ease a(nother!) newbie's jitters, so we alighted on an excellent adventure. She (and I for the moment) was blessed with an almost archetypical body, and we employed it to the fullest.

I ventured for the first time into that upstairs dive on the ocean side of Walking Street that features overweight and over-aggressive Russian pole dancers who presumably will acquiesce to expensive back-room options once you consume a quota of overpriced drinks. Couldn't help imagining that I'd stumbled onto the setup for a brawl scene in a Steven Seagal movie.

Just next door was a club more frequented by locals that featured constant shows (whimsical costumes, mock-lesbian displays, a half-dozen totally nude girls playfully sliding around in soapy water, sponging themselves, and inviting you to help, or even join them.) As soon as I sat down, a lovely leapt from stage to table, pulled off her panties and put them on my head. I swear I would have savored a fine time with her had I not already a beauty on my arm.

On a completely different note, Bangkok Pattaya Hospital is a very impressive facility compared to some of the finest American hospitals, and even more of a bargain than Bumrungrad by the same standards.

Pattaya presents a dizzying array of choices in the accommodations sweepstakes as well as in your selection of companions: you can choose from dozens of resorts designed to exploit conventional international expectations of forking over hundreds of dollars per night to feel like you're on holiday, but there are literally hundreds of clean and pleasant places to be had for 800 baht. With little effort I located several at the 800 median, one at 500, one with a nice pool for 1000 (off-season; it rises to 1400 at year's end), and a very nice resort for 2500. All but the 500 baht place included wireless Internet, and it had an Internet café downstairs. Don't limit yourself to the BKK & Pattaya Dynasty Inns just because they offer a convenient shuttle - take the time to walk up the block, where good values are everywhere.

I checked into one of these 800-baht marvels early one afternoon, and come evening dropped downstairs to the bar, bought a beer for a pool-playing bargirl and led her back up to my room, where she remained until morning. I never even boarded a baht bus.

Another afternoon, I strolled over to Lólita's (its website unabashedly proclaims it a blow-job bar) and engaged in conversation a comely lass loitering at a food cart who promptly modified her nutritional goals to take me upstairs and diligently coax from my loins a protein shake (with none of that subsequent gagging as if you'd surprised her by dousing her tonsils with a shot of gasoline.)

To add more fuel to the fire, this is how I see it:

Angeles is cheap and easy. If you have a less-than-satisfactory experience, so what? It only set you back about 20 bucks. Somebody once said there's no such thing as bad sex, and if, like most men, you subscribe to that opinion…. Well, maybe you should save the time and airfare and just shuttle over to Tijuana.

In Cebu, you'll pay more, but you'll generally get what you pay for.

In LoS, your choices are almost endless, and the ladies prettier.

your are right about the abundance of Pattaya choices of hotels. Even the budget ones, can give good accomodations that are clean & pleasant to stay at.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that cameras are now allowed at Kokomo's pool party. Used to be they didn't want competition for the DVDs they sold.

Ya gotta think of Cebu as a more relaxed Makati - more motivated girls and less competition for more money.

As for Thai vs Phil photos, just another example of results being unquantifiable. I actually was with more girls in RP than Thailand, and would consider repeating with only one in AC and one in Cebu. Probably won't repeat with any from LoS, either, but only because there are so many more to do.

Other variables that skew what you perceive include girls who would not be photographed, one I will not post, absence of body shots, snapshot quality, and, as suggested, the inability to graphically convey attitude or performance.

I understand, and I'm not being argumentative, just making a point. Considering her looks, disposition, performance, temperament and affectionate nature, I could easily have spent the entire trip with the 1st girl from AC. I got lucky (except for the onset of mens...)

Just saying that it's easier to find the external configuration I favor in LoS. No guarantee of anything else.

And I got lazy with my post submission, sending Hombre a Word file and leaving configuration to Himself.
