This was going to start out as a post in the Africa discussion section, but got long enough I decided I might as well make it a trip report. I didn't take any pictures however, and I'm not much of a trip reporter, so hope you'll all bear with me as I stumble through this.

I had a chance to go to Johannesburg for 3-4 days earlier this month, and although I've been there before a few years ago, I didn't have much chance to investigate the local talent (spent more of my time in Durban and Capetown). I was working in Thailand, so I took Thai Air's non-stop from Bangkok to Jo'burg, so the flight was 11 hours, instead of up to 20 hours if you make a connection somewhere. Unfortunately they run it as a redeye both ways, so you leave Bangkok around midnight and get in to Jo'burg around 6 AM, and leave Jo'burg around 1:45 PM, and get into Bangkok around 6 AM. That puts a bit of a crimp into your night life, unless you recover quickly from jetlag, which with a bit of napping, but not too much, I was able to do.

I had emailed with Isawal prior to coming to Jo'burg, as we had exchanged messages a couple times before discussing the South African scene (he lives there) and comparing to my previous experiences. Unfortunately, Isawal was not in town until my third night, so the best he could do is give me some more details on many of the suggestions he had already provided. He was able to meet up with me on the third night, which I greatly appreciated.

My first evening there, after arriving on an early Saturday morning, I had called around to inquire at a few places Isawal had told me about to see how many ladies were available. One of the places suggested I call XXXX taxi service, for a safe reliable service. I didn't end up going to that place but did use the taxi service. The guy who took me around was a Afrikaaner, and said he had only recently started driving, but said he knew a few places. In fact, he said he had worked at "The Lounge" in Jo'burg, and suggested taking me there. It is a strip club, but he said he knew the manager quite well and assured me he could get me the "company" I was looking for. We went over there, and popped in for a few minutes, while he talked to the manager. The ladies there did look nice in many cases, probably ranging from a 6 to a 9, but my driver came back to me a bit sheepishly with the manager and the manager said, she really couldn't help, because things with the local constabulary were a bit dicey and she couldn't take the chance. She apologized and suggested my driver take me to the Grand (not sure of the location, but it was on a main highway, and apparently all the taxi drivers know it), which was another strip club, but from which you could take a girl. We zipped over there, and my driver dropped me off, leaving his number so I could call when I was finished. They have a buffet that is included in the admission price which, I'm not sure I remember right now, but seems to be cost maybe 200 rand. The place was nice in side, with a couple bars and a very large stage where they had dancers performing topless. The same dancers would roam around the seating area and try to get you to buy lap dances (200 rand), private dances (350 rand) or more. There were quite a few of them, maybe 20, but also a lot of guys, probably an equal number. The girls there also ranged from probably a 6 to 9. Unfortunately, the ones that I was most interested in (the 8's and 9's) were all apparently spoken for. I really didn't want to spend that much money for a lap or private dance, that's like U.S. prices, but I did ask a somewhat cute black dancer about the "more". What she told me was that for 1200 rand, I could take a lady to a back room for an hour and anything goes there. I thanked her, and decided the place was too rich for my blood, especially given the quality of available women. I called my taxi driver, who promised to be there in about 10 minutes, and after a few minutes stepped outside to wait with the security guards carrying their automatic weapons (hey this is Jo'burg!)

I was picked up as promised, and decided to take things into my own hands. Isawal had recommended a house called Club 37, which I had the address for, and called them to inquire about the number of ladies they had there. I was told 20 ladies were available, so I decided to head over there. The location was what seemed to be a very nice surburban home, but behind a high wall and gate (as all such homes are in Jo'burg) with tight security. After going inside, I could see several ladies so decided the odds were good here and paid my entry fee (again, I'm not very good at remembering entry fees, but I think it was 100 rand here). I went into the bar, where I got one of my two free drinks included with the entry, and surveyed the area, which was a living room with a couple sofas, a table, a bench and a few chairs by the bar. One lady walked up to me while ordering my drink and gave me a sultry hello while slipping her hands around my butt. She wasn't my type so I decided to politely ignore her and grab my drink. There were actually only about 10 girls in the room and one or two guys (maybe the other ladies were working?), and they seemed to congregate between maybe 5 white girls, and 4 Thai girls, with a Japanese girl off in the corner by herself. The Japanese girl looked cute, probably a 9, but was just too damn disinterested in everything to warrant my attention. Even though I work in Thailand and was looking to expand my diet a bit, I spotted a very cute lightskinned Thai girl that seemed desperately in need of some male attention. I sat down next to her and started throwing out some Thai phrases to her and her friends,which got all of them talking and wanting to know how I could speak Thai. After awhile, I asked the girl of my choice (I think she told me her name was La) if we could go to a room together and she agreed. We talked a bit more, and never made me feel rushed. She even showed me a picture of her in full Thai dress, saying that she had been a beauty queen in some contest and had the picture to prove it. She could well have been right, very attractive in a Thai sort of way.She asked if I wanted to take a shower first, and so I did, during which she joined me and helped me out. She shuffled me out of the shower then and finished her own bathing. We progressed to the intended activity of the night, and she seemed to genuinely enjoy herself, both giving and receiving in all respects. We relaxed for awhile afterwards, and talked a bit, before going to take another shower which she once again, assisted me. I paid her 800 rand, and thanked her before calling my taxi. She sat with me while I waited for the taxi and I happened to notice that the Japanese girl seemed a bit more lively, and thought she is a definite target on a return trip.

The next night was Sunday night, and as Isawal told me, and I quickly confirmed, all the brothels and clubs shut down on Sunday night. I decided to take his advice of checking out the talent on http://www.sextrader.co.za. There was definitely some nice looking talent, and after awhile, I decided to give a call to an attractive looking mixed girl, named Leah. I called her up and she agreed to come to my hotel, charging me 800 rand for an hour (with additional hours at 500 rand). When she arrived, she was as attractive in person as she was on the website. I would probably rate her face and body as a 9, except that her tits were a bit on the saggy side, but I wasn't complaining. She provided great service, both giving and receiving French, and was unhurried. Afterwards we chatted a bit before she left. She told me she is actually 1/2 black, 1/2 Indian, and that she was a student but who was using the winter break to make a few bucks. I noticed when I checked today that her picture isn't on the website anymore, and remembered she told me that she wouldn't be working after December, so presumably she had it taken down. Too bad, I'd love to do her again, however I'll definitely consider the website for the other options there.

On my last night in Jo'burg, a Monday night, I had a business dinner which I didn't get wrapped up until about 9:30. Fortunately, Isawal didn't mind and picked me up at my hotel afterwards. We checked out a couple places, including Rock Paradise (I think that was it, wasn't it, Isawal?) but although it was a nice place with a good crowd, didn't see much that was both available and appealing to me. Isawal told me he heard about another place in Pretoria (about 40 minutes away) that was supposed to be good, so I said, let's head over there. We arrived at Flamingo, on Church Street, in Pretoria, and figured it must be a good place as there were a lot of cars there. Isawal was generous enough to pay my cover and we went inside. The interior had a bit of a rustic look, but still clean and pleasant, and quite a few number of free ladies roaming. Isawal pointed out a stunning blonde, but said she was only a dancer and didn't go with customers to "a back room". Too bad, she was the hottest thing there. This place also had a number of Thai women, as well as white ones, and I eventually started focusing on a Thai one that looked pretty cute from a distance. I stepped away for a minute to use the head, and I guess Isawal let her know my interest, as she was sitting in my seat when I came back. On closer inspection, she looked a bit worn, and older, then my initial impression, but at that point, I figured what the hell, and decided to go to a room with her. The fee was 600 rand, with tipping optional. Practically as soon as we got in the room, she started telling me how she wanted a tip, and promised to give me a good time but I would have to tip her. I kept trying to blow her off, but she wouldn't drop it. Finally I said to her, "look if you want a tip, stop talking about money, or I won't give you anything". She was all apologetic then, but the mood was already kind of spoiled then. She did give a good BBBJ, but the sex was rather mechanical, and her sound effects came across as rehearsed rather than real. As soon as we finished, she started in again about the tip, and frankly at that point, I was happy to be rid of her. I ended up giving her 200 rand to bring my cost up to 800 rand, about par for the course in the area, even though she was asking for 400 rand. She was frankly a big disappointment, but there were several other girls there that had potential and I'm hoping they aren't all like that. When I went out, I waited for Isawal, who took another asian girl, and seemed happy with her. I told him of my experience, and sounds like he had a sweetie, because he didn't get the money pressure. Anyway, I wouldn't give up on the place, just wouldn't go with the woman I was with again.

I'll have to admit, I am a bit spoiled by the action in Thailand where I work quite a bit, and have an apartment. Prices in S.A. are higher, and the abundance of working ladies in Thailand is hard to beat. On the other hand, you get a bit more ethnic diversity in the clubs in Jo'burg. Having said that, 2 of the 3 ladies I took were Thai, which goes to show you can take the boy out of Thailand, but can't Thailand out of the boy. In any event, I expect to be back there next month for business again, and hopefully Isawal and I will be able to hook up again to further explore the opportunities at hand.

It was fun meeting you. It’s a bit of a shame that your first road trip in SA was during the December School holidays. In January things should be a little more interesting with a lot more talent. BTW I think that your girl at the Flamingo was Chinese not Thai. I think that you American Accent is costing you a little in "tourist” tax.

Isawal, thanks I stand corrected, I believe she was Chinese, but had more of a Thai look to her (hmm.. wonder if it might have something to do with the fact that my Thai gf is part Chinese?). Yeah, I probably overpaid, but I will be looking to you for a few more pointers on that when I'm back in January. Thanks again!~
