Jakarta …. Get me out of here

I will soon be posting my top hobbying destinations and Jakarta was a clear winner, so why do I want to leave? This is not a full trip report, but an update live from Jakarta.

The background is I am here working. My last trip I stayed in the Meridien, shared my mongering between finding non-pay-for–play action, a consistent “GF”, as well as pay for play. This meant all my non-working hours were spent partying or having sex. Things are so easy here it’s so easy to go to a spa, brothel for a session or two or hitch up with an AFF find, go clubbing and then return to the hotel to see the GF and end up having another session until 3, 4 or later in the morning. (You cannot say ”I am tired I have just had back to back sessions with some young hotties from Kota!”). So this time I made changes. I needed to work, I need a clear head, I needed more than 2-4 sleep each night so I could concentrate on work., I needed not to spend so much money. So the plan, I do not stay in Meridien, its all too easy to wander down for a drink and end up coming up back to your room with entertainment from 30’s. Next, I ditch the “GF”, again it takes so much time and energy keeping her happy in the sack. I stay out of the centre away from Kota, further from Bats, CJ’s and all its temptations’ and I work in the week and play weekend, maybe just do a little salsa in the week and the odd AFF contact.

I arrived here from BKK last Friday, had originally planned to stay in BKK until Sunday, but MX was celebrating an auspicious anniversary so I joined him in the celebrations’. For Friday night MX had arranged a party bash. The idea was to get a big room in a Kareoke place, bring in loads of girls and let the drink and fun flow. A Jakarta Festa! Well MX had a few troubles organizing it, mainly in getting the room he wanted, but around 10pm we were in a huge Karaoke room, with on-suite bedroom, 11 girls all from the Melawi Hotel and the party was underway. The party was not as riotous as we had hoped, but was still great fun. MX had a good birthday seeing too and I ended up with a dupla with two pairs of breasts that would send any “boob man” into fits of ecstasy.

The lesson learned from this was it is very possible to set up a festa in Jakarta, but keep it manageable, we had too many people to keep it controlled. The feeling was get a nice room, but limit the number of girls to 4-5 with around 4 guys. That way the costs should be reasonable and the whole thing becomes more manageable.

After the Festa, we went to Sands disco next to Novotel in Mangua Dua. Surprisingly for 4 in the morning it was very busy and there were a good few hotties around to be had for sure. There were certainly no shortages of ladies offering their wares as we walked to get drinks at the bar and I am sure we could have scored in the Karaoke place next door too. Worth a visit if you are staying in the area,

Saturday we did a spa and Bintang Mawar. Spa life in Jakarta is great, cheap fun and a great source of hot action and well recommended. In the evening I left to join my current love of my life who sings in one of the hotel bands, she is so dammed beautiful I am falling in love again, well at least when I am not in mongering mode! Now I need to explain this as early I mentioned I had dumped my “GF”, well I have, this new “GF” is someone I had fancied for ages and ended up having a trip to BKK with on my return home on my last trip. Anyway we had a wonderful night we made out until well into Sunday, but I sent her off as I wanted to join MX on his last day in town.

So at 3am this morning I got to sleep, tired but well satisfied. Now I cannot work its hard to stay awake so I thought I would pen this draft update.

So why do I want to get out… well really I do not, its just that putting me in Jakarta is like dropping a junkie in a chemist shop, I just cannot say no. There are so many temptations here, so many varied places and the girls make picking up so dammed easy. Plus, its easy to drain cash, sure monging is dammed good value here, but it all ads up and drinking is not that cheap, in fact dammed expensive in the up market places. Then there’s the health risk, not many girls here want to use condoms, it the exception if they ask, even more of an exception if they insist. Then there’s the age thing, you have to be careful, there are some really sexy, sweet girls here that do not meet minimum age standards. Then there the love factor, its so dammed easy to meet beautiful, intelligent, charming, sexy and great in bed women that its hard to keep the heart from getting involved.

So the reasoning on getting out is simple, if I stay I will die of exhaustion, poor, without a job, probably remarried and divorced for giving the new wife the clap, but boy I suppose I will be soooooooooo happy getting there.

I agree. This post is full of outrageous lies. Jakarta is the last place on earth anyone would want to monger. I've heard the lifespan of any bule stepping foot outside the airport is approximately 2 hours. It's a stinking cesspool. Disease-ridden. Malaria and Dengue fever hiding around every corner. And any plane you get on is guaranteed to crash in a ball of flame. I advise anyone who remotely thinks they might want to visit to stay away if they value their life. Honest.

Hey all you Jakarta experts, would you believe about 17 yrs ago I was in Jakarta visiting a friend. At that time there were many ladies in park by the sea, went there once didn't get laid. More disinformation ..... went to Block M early yesterday evening for dinner and to research the early evening around 8pm. It was very quiet in Top Gun, so wandered over to One Tree and although quiet too, it had some very friendly and not to bad looking waitresses. THM, In your case the you should consider that everything from hotels, booze, food, transport, police bribes, and most importantly girls is much more expensive in Jakarta as compared to Bangkok. Plus the girls have zero english skills, don't give any GFE, and is almost all on site ST which is rushed in a small disgusting room.

While we there is some in cheek commentary in this thread. All those things are true, and unless you speak bhasa indonesian really well you will struggle to have a good time with the girls unless you are shopping at the bars in hotel like Shagri la, Mulia Senyen, and Le Meridian. But these girl want more than $110 dollars for a couple of hours. Plus your drinks start at $5 and there is a cover charge of $10. Jakarta is a miserable place for a budget monger.

While all you want to make jest of LoS and sing the praise of JKT, I think for the "average" monger, LoS makes for a much better destination. Yes, those with a guide, those with local knowledge, time for trial and error, etc will have a great sexual vaca in jkt-- no arguments there. However, that doesn't describe most folks and for those folks, I'm sure they are going to have a much more relaxing, enjoyable time in LoS. To make jkt out as a casual vacationeers paradise is a tad of a stretch.

DM and Sandman are correct. Mongers should not think of Jakarta as a viable monger destination. Too many user unfriendly aspects for too little reward.

Also, I am not guide and have stopped showing people around who I don't know well or who don't have a well established reputation for providing information to the CH community.

Without a doubt Thailand is the best place and will be the most enjoyable SEA mongering destination for 99% of the readers here. For the uninitiated to SEA to go any other place is likely to be a big mistake.

I'm hardly an expert so take this with a grain of salt.

After reading all the posts on Jakarta, I decided to check it out. I spent 5 days in Jakarta and it was quite enjoyable. It's certainly more difficult to negotiate than Thailand or Rio but with the information provided on the board, it was quite easy to have an enjoyable time.

Equipped with the address of the desired locale, I would usually obtain a Bluebird taxi to the "spot" of the moment and give it a shot.

I spent time at the Travel Hotel, Blok M, Stadium, Classic spa,and several of the 5 Star hotel bars. Clearly, I barely scratched the surface but I was able to this alone and without being able to speak bahasa indonesian.

MX, I didn't say it wasn't "viable" in fact I rated it quite highly in my reports if you recall. The point being, if I was solo or didn't have you to escort me around, it would not of been nearly as enjoyable. My enjoyment of the locale is largely attributed to your local knowledge.

Stuck in a taxi 4 days ago, driver has no English, me Sedikit Bahasa Indonesian, its pooring with rain, no way to get back to apartment, stuck in 12" of water and rising fast, car stalls, no girl to keep me warm or give me my last ever session ..... I survive only to spend three days stuck away from home, no clothes, dead phone ....... Ok maybe a girl to keep me happy at night, but still guys this is real suffering .. stay away!

Yes Jakarta is the number one hobby location for me, its so varied and inexpensive you can afford quality and quantity at the same time.
