Do I have a Date with a Non-Pro?

OK, last 2 days have been standard crap and I don’t feel like adding stuff that has been written before.

I have paraded a steady stream of “girlfriends” past the staff of the Hotel. They know ALL about what I’m about. They are polite and professional. I tip appropriately.

I have always flirted shamelessly with the female staff. They seemed to enjoy the friendly banter. On previous trips, I got the impression that I could have ask one of them out. (Ok, I was flat out asked why I don’t have a serious girlfriend). On this trip, they ALL are flirting BACK. Staff members that previously treated me with detached and reserved professionalism are much more friendly and curious about my personal life. Amorous suggestions by me are not being playfully dismissed.

I don’t want to shit where I eat.

I think I have made a date with one of the front desk staff. She is single and I have spent some time flirting and talking. I have been admonished by another of the staff that I should pursue her as my girlfriend. She asked me to check something out on my room internet connection for a project she is working on. I did and was kidding her that she owed me for professional services and I would be presenting her with an invoice. She would protest laughingly that “no, no, this is for friendship”.

Tonight is her night off and I asked her what she was doing. She is going out with friends to R&B, a live band club near Friendship Gate. I start acting like I’m going to be there looking for her and she seemed to be pleased.

I will definitely get some Short Times in this afternoon just to be sure and not be too edgy.
