Day 6/Wrap-Up - Wednesday, 31 January 2007
I actually set my alarm for this morning. I wouldn't have a lot of time, and I needed to be out of the apartment by 12:30 at the latest. The owner was supposed to come by at noon to give me my deposit back, so time was kind of tight.
Three times over the years, I had stopped it to a massage parlor at Comandante Espinar #350 in Miraflores. I liked the concept because you got all of the 'end game' of a Banos Turcos without as much of a time commitment - a trip to a BT can sometimes take me over two hours if I partake in all of the facilities. It was local and quick. The first two times, I received a fairly good massage followed by an excellent blow job. I am not sure if sex was officially on the menu, but I always left satisfied, so finding out wasn't a top priority of mine.
The last visit (back in December), I received an excellent massage from Karol, but she ended it up with a manual release while her naked body was draped all over mine. She had said something like "we will move step by step, and next time, there will be more." I'm used to hearing that crap in American joints, but like today, it was my 'get away' visit, so I just went with it.
Well, this was next time, so I took a taxi to the Starbucks at Ovalo Guitterez, grabbed a latte, and walked down to building number 350, arriving at 10:15. I rang the bell, got buzzed upstairs, and was let in by an angel.
Sadly, she was just the receptionist, and she told me that the girls were on their way, and would be there in ten minutes, and I should have a seat and wait.
Knowing full well that 10 minutes American=25 minutes Latino, I sat and came up with a Plan 'B', which was another, larger, massage facility, also in Miraflores. I decided to give them the requested ten minutes.
After only five minutes, Karol and another girl walked in. Karol saw me and said, "Hello, RT. You're back." I'm always surprised when these girls remember me by name, so I said hello to the other girl, and told Karol that yes, I was back, and I was here to see her.
Karol is a pretty average looking girl. Not beautiful, not ugly. Not fat, not thin. Average looking. I figured that now that we were past the initial visit, she would be making up in performance what she was lacking in beauty. Well, that's where you're wrong, RT.
I paid Karol, got naked and lay face down on the massage table. Today's massage was not nearly as good as the last time, and she spent much less time on the massage aspect before having me turn over and addressing the additional services aspect.
I asked Karol to take her clothes off and finish me up with her mouth (it was politer than that when I said it, I promise). She looked at me like I had just asked a bunch of virgin schoolgirls to take on the Green Bay Packers two at a time. Like I asked Tim Hardaway to slow dance with Greg Louganis. Like I asked President Bush to show me weapons of mass destruction. Like I was insane. She told me that she didn't do that, but might do it for me next time, maybe.
Well, if I didn't have to be in a taxi for the airport in an hour and a half, I would have put on my clothes and left. Since she literally had me by the balls at the time, I sighed deeply and told her to go ahead.
Ahead she went, and the massage came to a not so happy ending. I got dressed and gave her the additional fee for the 'services'. I then kissed her on the cheek, said good-bye to the angel receptionist and left. Checking my watch, it was only 45 minutes from when the girls showed up for work. Based on this event, even keeping in mind the two previous successful visits, I would not return here again - there are too many 'sure things' in Lima to have to play a stupid game like this. I fly two continents away from home just so I don't have to put up with this crap.
It was time to head home. I had finished my book on the flight down, so I needed something to read for the return trip. Also, one of the places that Copa Air falls short is in the 'feeding you' category, so I planned to pick up some food to get me by for the next few hours.
Across from the Starbucks and the supermarket at Ovalo Guitterez is a large entertainment facility/mini mall. There's a multiplex movie theater, an ice skating rink, all types of restaurants, and a few stores. Luckily, one of them is a book store that carries a modest selection of paperbacks in English. I found a James Patterson novel that I hadn't read. The paperbacks are 38.8 soles ($12), but that's only $4 more than they cost back home, and there they were.
The taxi took me to T'anta, where I got two sandwiches for the flight (one for each plane), and a couple of mini quiches to have before I left the apartment.
I got home at a quarter to twelve, updated my notes, shut down the computer and finished packing. I was munching down on the quiches when Julio showed up at 12:15. We discussed the apartment (I suggested adding at least a couple of fans) and he gave me back my deposit without doing any more checking than asking if I broke anything, and I was in a cab at 12:25 and at the airport just at 1:00 for my 3 pm flight.
By the time I go home, my Spanish is at its best. I was able to talk to the driver the entire trip, and he only had to repeat something or use simpler words a couple of times. If I was there for an extended period, I think that I could get fairly fluent very quickly.
Check in went smoothly and the flight left on time. I was able to check my email in Panama. Supposedly, there's no free wireless signal at the airport except in the President's Club. I just grabbed a seat in the area that was under the President's Club, and enough signal trickled down to allow me to connect. As a bonus, there are actual working electrical outlets scattered throughout the area, so I was able to charge up my battery a little for the last leg of the trip.
I was smart to have bought the sandwiches. I was in the last row of the plane, so by the time the food people got to us, there was only one choice of slop, rather than the standard two options. I passed and broke out my sandwich, pissing off all the slop eaters around me.
Landing in Miami at 10:30 pm is a snap. The lines at immigration were short and my bags came quickly. After the shuttle bus to my car, I was on the road and back in Ft. Lauderdale by midnight.
WRAP-UP
All in all, this was a very good trip. I was able to hit the ground running with Jade, and I never really took a chance to slow down. Of my seven and a half girls, five of my sessions were very good to excellent, one was good (Gabby), I got to play with huge boobs in a no-sex place (Gusiella - she counts as a half) and only one was a dud (Karol). Three of my seven were repeats. That's an unusually high average for me, I doubt that this is the start of a trend, but you never know. My seven girls cost (roughly) $50, $80, $50, $100, $60, $35 and $40, so I didn't take all that much advantage of the low-cost options available. On longer trips, I have more of a chance to hit the low-end places.
I ate in two new restaurants and got to put some of the others on the Av. Dos de Mayo corridor on my to-do list, and I probably wound up losing some money at the casinos. If they would only change the name of the game to '22', I would be a millionaire.
Thanks for reading. While I was there, I didn't think that this would turn in to a 15,550 word report, so I appreciate your patience with my going on and on.
Would I call this my best trip ever? Hardly. But I had a good time, met some nice girls, and pretty much spent six hassle-free and fun-filled days on vacation. Eat? Check. Screw? With abandon. Gamble? Of course. Mission accomplished.

Hi, RT,
Thanks for the detailed report.
I am curious:
1) Since you visit Peru frequently, have you been stopped in Customs (Miami) for a bag search? What do you tell Immigration when they ask: "What was the purpose of your trip?."
2) Your reports have mentioned that you enjoy flirting with the girls in the tiendas. Have you ever asked one of these girls for a date? If not, what is holding you back? Are you afraid of rejection?
Thanks,
~BKKguru

Hi Guru. RT here. Let's see:
I've never been singled out upon return. There have been flights where everyone was sent to the x-ray line, but I have never had my bags opened. Also, "Visiting Friends" has always been my answer. It's not been an issue so far.

That's a question with a multi-faceted answer. Luckily, I'm a wordy bastard, so follow along...
