I arrived in Bogota on Saturday, March 24th, to begin a two week trip that would take me through several Colombian cities. Bogota is very large, very cosmopolitan, and although not the friendliest destination is more or less my speed. I was to spend a total of four days in BOG, including a visit to my company’s offices for work purposes. I have noticed a significant price creep in Colombia (especially in Bogota), which when paired with the increasing strength of the Colombian Peso exacerbates the increase in overall cost of a vacation, especially for those of us who earn in dollars.

I have previously touted the merits of staying at Suites Real 85, but for this trip I decided to test a less costly alternative. So I booked a room at Hotel Lago 76, another well-located aparthotel in Bogota. I paid a rate of 84K COP per evening for a normal, clean but simple room with a small television, hot water, and kitchenette that I did not use but appeared functional although antiquated. It was an okay place overall, but clearly two notches below the Suites Real 85. I made it clear up front that I have “amiguitas” in Bogota and that I did not care to pay a guest fee. This was fine with them and I had no trouble bringing chicas back with me. I would recommend it for a budget traveler, but if an additional 50K COP is not a big deal to you, then I would still recommend the Suites Real 85 for comfort, convenience and quality. Make sure to ask for a single double-bed as opposed to two twin beds which some of the rooms have.

Having arrived in the later hours of the day, I quickly unpacked and headed out for some fun. I decided to venture towards the establishments in the “Marlay” section of Bogota (around Calle 49 con Autopista hasta carrera 11). This is the neighborhood that hosts the famous Whiskeria 49, amongst other such bars. After walking a couple of blocks I went into a place on Carerra 13 between Calle 49 and 47…the exact address I do not know. I was one of three patrons in a place with about 15 or so women waiting to be entertained. “Great odds” I thought as I sat down and ordered a bottle of water (I’m a dork, I know). These places are such that you can sit and relax without pressure to invite a chica until ready, which I really appreciate. The bottle of water was 3K pesos, which I thought reasonable. So I hung out for a while, enjoyed the variety of music and watched a few different tables where chicas sat together and horsed around, waiting for some business to arrive. One girl in particular caught my attention, as I thought her to be the best combination of beauty (based on what I could tell in a dimly lit bar) and personality (based on what I could tell from her interactions with amigas). Thankfully my judgment was solid. I asked a waiter to invite her over, to which he gracefully complied. I can’t recall her name though…Laura, Carolina, Diana, or one of the other typical artistic names that the girls put on themselves while at work. In reality, who cares? As if she remembers my name…let’s call her “Adriana” for sake of reference.

Adriana and I danced a few songs, had a few drinks and got friendly with each other. She was a very sweet and affectionate girl, and after a while I inquired about the services. 120K for an hour, on-site and the room included. I thought this as well to be reasonable and agreed. Adriana took the money and scampered off to do whatever the hell it is that they do once the deal has been made. A few moments later she returned, took me by the hand and led me to a simple but clean room in the back. There we had a very nice time, modesty bearing abstention of the details.

Overall there were several nice looking girls, a good party atmosphere and a reasonable price. Colombia kicks ass!

For the next couple of days I did a variety of things that I’ll discuss in more detail later on, including going to the gym, connecting to the internet, getting a manicure/pedicure (super metrosexual I know, but common in Colombia), and dining out. For now let’s talk about two other P4P destination I frequented.

“La Piscina” is located a touch northwest of downtown Bogota, and is one of the better mid-priced options that the city offers. I found a girl who behaved as though she was happy to be there and invited her for a drink. Again I don’t remember the name, and again who cares? So let’s call her Pamela. Pamela quoted me 100K for the hour plus 30 for the room. I countered with 100K, room included, and she happily agreed. She’s a pretty girl of 27 years, and a fantastic performer as well. She gave a very enthusiastic BBBJ, got really wet, etc. Great time and well worth it, especially for a Sunday evening.

The next two days consisted of a couple of visits to reservados, a night at Extasis and a daytime trip to Cleopatras. Cleopatras was as described here on CH, where 20K buys a drink and lap dances from each of the available girls. On this day there were four girls, each attractive. One in particular caught my attention, a 20 year old from Barranquilla with a remarkable body. She has beautiful tan skin, perfect natural breasts, big brown eyes…just a great looking girl. The price was 100K for the hour, and was well worth it. One interesting note on Cleopatras is that the hostess is also very attractive. In fact, after the girl I’d chosen, I’d say she was more attractive than the other working girls. Too bad she’s not to be had.

Lamuerte - useful report. I will be heading out to Bogota on a business trip soon and obviusly want to get some action while I am there. Is it essential to be able to speak Spanish in order to get anywhere with the girls in this city?

LM: good info. Icarus, you will find very few people in Bogota that speak/understand English (incl hotel workers, taxi drivers, etc). A few working gals will speak it, espec. if they are coming from working abroad. It would be very helpful to speak some Spanish IMO or go there with someone that speaks it or find a taxi driver that is bilingual to take you to places.
