Just got back from Panama this past Sunday after spending 6 days there. I have been trying to do some investing and other business down there. My contact set me and my partner up with people to meet throughout the country. In the past, I have only stayed in Panama City and taken day trips in order to explore some of the highlands and beach areas. This time we rented an SUV and drove out to Bouquete in the Chirique province. The trip was about 6 hours. (45 minutes by plane but I'm not much for 25 passenger props!) Most of the drive was pretty good until we hit a stretch of the highway that was under construction. It didn't help that we got out of the city late on Tuesday so more than half of the drive would be in the dark. Of course, I was the guy at the wheel when I almost hit a woman walking her baby stroller opposite traffic on the side of the road (with practically no shoulder) in the dark of the night. Prior to that I was just concerned with hitting one of the dozens of stray dogs we saw strolling along side of the road.

We pull into Boquete around 10:30 pm. This town has seen a construction boom over the past few years....many Americans building half million dollar houses in the mountains. Alot of retirees live and own businesses in town. I thought for sure that I would be able to find some women there. As we headed out to the bars we were quickly informed that they all closed at 11:30 by order of the Mayor........so much for picking up women in a retirement town! A local bartender told me that I would have to go into David, the largest town closest to Bouquete. It was about 35 minutes away by car. He made some calls and told me that, for $70 he could have a girl come to me and that I would also have to pay for her cab fare back and forth. Now, I'm the kind of guy who likes to pick out his own girl. I was very skeptical about what would show up at my doorstep in the middle of the country. So, my buddy (who is brand new to mongering) and I decided to make the trek into David ourselves. Bouquete had two taxi's working at that hour, so we waited a while for one of them to show up to take us into town. This guy pulls up in what looks like some kind of pickup truck with junk in the flatbed and a back seat for the passengers. The vehicle is clearly marked "Taxi". Kind of weird, but hey, I wasn't going to start driving around myself in parts unknown to me! We get into the cab. The taxi driver seems like a nice kid, his co-pilot wearing a greasy red hat who is missing most of his front teeth. We start heading to David at about 80 miles per hour on some two lane road with no lights. I have thought to myself many times that I was going to die in a taxi in Panama, but I was certain that this would really my last ride! Incredibly, we arrive alive in David and pull up to this beat up old building with an unpaved parking lot full of mud puddles and a cop at the front door carrying a shotgun. (For those that need to find this place in the future, it was called "La Esmeralda"). We walk in and are clearly the only white guys in the room. Here I am in my dockers and polo shirt that I was still in from the meeting we had earlier in the day. Needless to say, we got some pretty good stares. This place was one of the dirtiest bars/places that I had ever been in my life. I could tell that my buddy was a bit scared. This place was really something out of a movie! There were about 20 chicas, most of which were ugly or fat. I bought a few beers for myself, my buddy, the taxi driver and his sidekick....$3 a piece. Not a bad price, I thought until I later found out that the non-gringos only pay $1! I went to go take a piss in this smelly trough and start talking to some guy in my broken Espanol and inquire about the rates. He told me that he just banged some girl for $10! I come to find that you pay $10 for 10 minute increments. What a bargain!! Anyway, I find the hottest looking girl there. She was a Columbian (as most of them are), thin and wore glasses as she was going for the student look. Anyway, knowing it would take me close to 10 minutes just to get my clothes off, I negotiate for 30 minutes, hand her 30 bucks which she then passes off to the bartender in exchange for a set of keys. She brings me down some corridor past many rooms and brings me into this dingy looking, poorly lit room with a bed, a shower and toilet. No towels, but hey, I wasn't about to get into that shower anyway! The sheets appeared to be clean. Well, we banged pretty good. I felt bad about only spending $30 bucks (of which I am sure that she will only be getting half of that at most), so I finished up early and left about 5 minutes on the clock. After all, she certainly deserved the time off! We both head back to the bar where she sits down to look for more customers. All-in-all, not a bad time for a 1:00 trip on a Tuesday night to the town of David!

We head back to Bouquete in the same taxi. By this time my buddy, the driver and his copilot are all drunk! We drive back up the pitch black hill and stop at some desolate gas station to fill up. I'm in the back seat of this taxi/pickup truck, whatever the fuck it was and the co-pilot with no teeth is talking to me. I'm not quite sure what the fuck this guy is saying. I just asked him who punched him in the face. He just smiled. The surreal part of this experience is that about 20 feet away was this very well distinguished and well dressed black guy wearing a blazer (looked like a young Ray Charles) was standing there with a smile and a dark pair of shades. Just then we saw his cane and his seeing eye dog. The whole thing was so out of place. If I didn't know better I'd say that this was some kind of weird trip.

That night we stayed in some shitty 7 room hotel in town. The roosters woke me up at 4:30. Some kind of animal was clawing at my window in the middle of the night - scared the shit out of me! (Later the next day I read in article in the local newspaper about some kind of weird possum type animal that was taking over the town at night). To cap it all off, the power tools starting from the property next door at about 6:30 am! Spent the rest of the day in Bouquete looking at properties.

We head back to Panama City on Wednesday afternoon. Once again, almost hit the dogs on the side of the road. Got back to PC only to find that there were no hotel rooms anywhere. Luckily, after alot of searching we were able to find a place called Crystal Palace or something like that on Calle Brazil that was an apartment building turned hotel. It was pretty much a shithole! Met up with some friends but decided to go home alone.

Thursday night we hit Habano's across from the Marriott. I always like to start out my evening there and have had much luck. I got to know the black guy who tends to the cigar shop and the waiter, Ricardo. They usually hook me up. My buddy, whom I mentioned is new to all of this is approached by a chica who speaks some english. She seems very nice and they pretty much hit it off right away. My buddy doesn't speak any spanish so he asks me to work out the money thing. She tells me $100. My buddy only has $57 in his wallet. He runs across the street to the Marriott cash machine.......no luck. He goes next store to the bank machine........no luck. He comes back and tells me that his card does not work. I then jokingly ask if this girl will accept a Visa card or check. Of course, she says no. So I basically tell her that this guy only has $57 dollars and she should take it or leave it. She says, ok $80. I say ok, not wanting to get any more involved in this discussion than I already am. I tell my buddy she has accepted his offer, but I warn him that this girl is a trainwreck waiting to happen. The clothes are tight on her.....too tight to fit that body. I've been there before, and I knew that it was going to get ugly! Needless to say, he does not take my advice and tells me that this is the girl he wants. Now, it's time for me to find a girl. There was this cute chica who was talking to some guys. I had my buddy's girl go over to her and pull her away. She comes over, we negotiate a bit and off we all go together. That night we were staying at the Sevilla Suites, down the road from the Veneto. As we get out of the cab and into the elevator where the lighting is much better, my girl suddenly looks really cute and my buddy's girl looks like she got into a knife fight years ago with scars that were covered by the makeup on her face...a real jigsaw puzzle!

Well, my girl was good. She was 21 and fucked like a bunny..........a little to much energy for me, though! I wasn't happy about it but this is one that I'd like to see again.

So, sorry about the lengthy post. It was really a good trip. I am very excited about the opportunities that Panama has, both for making money and for the women! My past trip in January looked like a cock fest. I'm happy to report that the women are back. Though I haven't been there myself, I have been told that the club Decapolis at the Radisson has a good selection late at night - only Thurs-Sat. Also, a place called Kitaros on Calle 50.

I am really glad to read that you explored beyond Panama City. David and the highlands of Chiriqui are really an interesting experience. I've done that trip too a few times with my Pan friends...I've done the very local lifestyle with them for an entire week...no a/c and my morning shower was a 5 gal bucket of cold water with a plastic cup.

As you very well know $300 is a suckers fee. $150 is a scam as well. $60 and upwards to $80 (for a real performer) is right. I've actually started to walk on good looking women who asked $100 or higher and they always call me back to settle for a reasonable fee.

I was recently with a large group down there and the girls we pulled from Golden Times was worth every penny. We took 8 girls out of there back to the Veneto. We paid $300 for each girl, but that was for the night. Was that the right price? They said $150 for an hour, $220 for two hours, $300 for the night.

There are many threads in the archives that repeat over and over not to over-pay these girls regardless how hot they are. To put this in perspective for you...the minimum wage in Panama is $280 per month. That is $1.75 per hour. Most chicas who work in MPs would otherwise make about $15 in an entire day in any other job. I have noticed that with the influx of gringos investing in Panama city, the girls are getting a bit greedier. They are wanting more money and all in all giving worse service. The prices in and around Panama city are already increasing, not only for professional sexual encounters, but for commodities as well. Hotel stays and rentals are up around 25% across the board, but groceries and standard sex shops like Oasis are pretty much the same deal. At the Oasis the girls are asking for more, but again, you can pay them $30 or $40 if you are nice and still have a great session.
