I’m writing from the United Red Carpet Lounge at Tokyo Narita. It’s 3:49pm 5 May, and my flight to Bangkok leaves at 6:30pm…might as well be leaving next week, because it always seems that the layover and flight to BKK take a HELL of a LONG TIME. Groan.

I suppose I should be giggling like a madman, because I’m heading to LoS for three weeks on the company dime. But I feel strangely subdued as I wait to board; this my first trip in awhile without a wingman. I’ll cheer up as soon as I step across that hallowed threshold of Nana Plaza. All I need is a cold Chang beer and my hand up some BG’s arse!

In preparation for my trip, I e-mailed a few teeruks to let them know that Daddy was on his way back, and two responded that they had quit the business. Does that mean that the pussy is FREE now? They both worked on Soi Cowboy: one was Amma from Tilac Bar (Muraskai sampled her) and the other was Apple from Midnight Bar, both have pics are posted on CH.

I plan on pacing myself this trip and not drinking myself to excess as I am wont to do; I’ll spend two nights in BKK at my HQ, the Majestic Grande, then I’ll shoot down to Pattaya where I’m staying in the Marriott.

I don’t know if the Marriott is girl-friendly, but since the job is paying for it, I decided to check it out. I’ve also got a room at The Vault Hotel, which is monger heaven, so if the Marriott is run like a Puritan colony, I can always escape to The Vault to engage in debauchery!

I don´t think you´ll have any problem bringing girls back to your room at the Marriott in Pattaya. I stayed there on my first visit to the LOS a little over a year ago and brought a girl back every night from a go-go bar and had no problems at all.

I agree with Buffer here about the Marriott. You will not have any problems with bringing back a guest for the night. I stayed there in Sept 06.

One of the nice things about the Marriott is it's location, it's next to a mall where you can get your phone unlocked, or get a local SIM chip, plus the food court is a nice place to watch the local talent walk around, and it's just a short walk from walking street.

On the down side their internet connection speed is slow and the WiFi is expensive for what you get.

Gents, sorry for the delay in updating this report, I've been a little distracted!

Here is a summary: I landed 2300 5 May, today is 13 May, and I have bedded five women over a six sessions.

Khun Mor, you are an exception to the rule, but it is a sad fact that mongers these days have to negotiate. Unfortunately price has become more of an issue.

Thanks Blumpy, my Thai juices are flowing like curry now! I've found it's usually the FLs who negotiation is necessary with (sometimes).

However, they're not getting LD commissions, or a salary, so they may want more than the Pattaya LT rate of 1K that a beer bar girl gets.

Go go dancers have gotten worse and worse about driving the price up and then packing up after the frist session that I seldom take them anymore.

I'd much rahter cruise discos and places like New Wave bar for FLs. Go gos are more entertainment for me. Dave the Rave may be disappointed to hear that but maybe that feedback can help. If go go girls came back down to earth like they used to be, I'd resume pulling from them.

Sorry Blumpy. Hotels and flights are already paid for. My other hobby is scuba diving and there's no comparing Pattya's diving to Phuket.

I am coming to the "black hole," Pattaya on the 26th for a night though. It always sucks you back in no matter how hard you try to stay clear of it's pull.

This is the exciting thing about Bangkok though, there are tons of girls available from numerous venues and numerous sources. It is a personal preference whether you hunt the go-go bars, beer bars, discos, clubs, soapies, telephone agencies, or freelance haunts, etc.

Regarding taking go-go girls, don't rule out Soi Cowboy where they dance naked, have explicit sex shows and a lot of available girls who will go long time for a reasonable price.

In defence of the go-go dancers in BKK it is the customers who have driven the prices up and are willing to pay higher prices. The fact is the Japanese clientele are the root of the problem in Nana Plaza. I admit that go-go dancers attitudes have changed and unfortunately a certain amount will only go short-time.

I agree they're only asking for so much because customers are paying it and the word spreads. New girls become dancers and then the expectations are higher.

In defence of the Japanese, what they're paying is a fraction of the cost of what they pay for ST in Japan, so 2500 all night isn't that much, from their POV. I would say 2000 is definitely enough for a dancer LT, but the price isn't really the issue and the topic gets tiring after a while.

The real issue is girls bolting after the first session and then going back to the bar and getting barfined out again. From my point of view that's stealing from the customer and any bars that are involved in that practice are stealing from their own customers.

Bigpoppa, again this is because the Rainbow Bars are "Jap Traps" and caused the short-time only syndrome. Rainbow Bars pay a 200 Baht cash bonus for every girl who goes back to the bar to dance after a ST. Mind you don't tar every bar with the same brush. Angelwitch leave the decision up to the BG. AS you read Blumpy had a great time in Angelwitch. You have to accept the Rainbow Bars for what they are.

Don't misunderstand, I'm not saying all go gos do this. And it's not necessarilly any go gos fault if a girl leaves early. This will happen as the go go doesn't own the dancer.

Yet, it IS happening more than it used to. FLs do it sometimes also, but there isn't a 600 baht barfine involved, lady drinks bought etc. so I guess it stings a little less.

The best way to avoid this is to know who you're taking back to the hotel. The info on this board certainly helps that. To take a contrarian opinion on "overpaying" here, paying a little better DOES provide incentive for your new friend to stay the duration. If us mongers developed a practice of paying very little for short time, it would end that fad in a hurry.
