Preface by saying this is my 4th trip to asia. Taking a month this time. Having just spent a week in Bangkok decided to explore some new turf. I flew air asia from bkk to macau. I bought my ticket online and for an extra $10 ( I think ) they offer express boarding. Since there are no seat assignments, I figured this may be a good bet. I got popped for overweight baggage at check in, a strict 15 kilo limit and my bag weighs like 7 empty. Oh well.
Anyway, they put a red sticker on my shirt that reads “express boarding” … the lines at passport control in Bangkok were really slow. Get to the gate, about ten minutes later the gate agent starts walking toward us and everyone starts crowding around the entrance way. I stand up and the gate agent sees my red sticker, and waves me to the front. Then another agent escorts me down the steps to a waiting mini van. Shit, I really feel special. Anyway along with one wheelchair passenger we head out to the plane. The front row ( 6 seats) are reserved for express boarding passengers. Nice to have the bulkhead for the 2.75 hr flight. Once in the air, they offer food and drink for sale. There were 3 very loud arab men sitting across from me, I mean really loud, talking over the flight attendant announcements and all. The woman sitting next to me kept looking at them and then to me and laughing. Well they ordered sandwiches and drinks and finally settled down.
Immigration in macau was slow but efficient, and by the time I had a piss my bag was circling the belt.
Changed a few dollars for patacas and caught a taxi to the metropark hotel. This hotel used to be called the grandeur. I chose it for location as well as price. Inclusive of taxes, but not including breakfast I paid 420 a night, about us $53. the first room they gave me was kind of shitty, it seems they only have 3 non smoking floors out of 25, yes, the Chinese love their cigs. It was on the 8th floor and the view faced a crappy apartment building. I looked for internet access and could not find it, so returned to the front desk to request a new room.
I told them smoking floor was ok, and they put me on the 20th floor, much nicer room, actually, one of the 2 vip floors. View faced the rio casino sign, which was pretty at night. Noticed that this hotel did have a 13th floor, but not a 14th floor. Hmmmm…. Chinese superstition?
Having murasaki’s guide all printed out, my first quest was a bank of America atm. Of course I walked the wrong way down the street and dead ended. Walked in circles a few times, finally figured it out.
For those who may need this in the future, bear in mind, you will not see a bank of America sign or logo anywhere. It is the Chinese construction bank that has an agreement with b of a and is fee free. There are branches of this bank all around. I cruised the lisboa casino, saw many hookers doing laps and offering their wares. Some were quite attractive. Pretty cool. By now it was around 9pm and I am beat, after a week of boom boom in bangkok I need a day off. Stopped in a little restaurant and had some duck and noodles.
Next morning headed down to senado square and starbucks. Had a latte and a piece of apple strudel. US prices. It was still early and I headed up to see if I could find the girlie hotels on the west side. I spotted the forsun pension hotel, and then the ruby across the street and over a block. I liked exploring these small streets, little restaurants with ducks and meat hanging up. I needed to repair a handle on my luggage and spotted a small hardware store. Using sign language I managed to procure a nut and bolt, the proprietors were very friendly. 1 pataca, 12 cents. Screw you home depot.
Later that night returned to forsun and broke my Chinese cherry with sa sa… quite beautiful 20 year old. There were about 25 girls in the forsun . her room was ok, nice and cool, small, but clean.
Decent short time, cbj, nice pussy, great body, decent attitude. 500 patacas. I did not try to negotiate.
Had some grilled eel for dinner. Made me feel strange afterward… not ill, but kind of lightheaded and a little high. Never had that reaction to food before. Went away after a few hours.
Next day walked all the way up to red market.
What a crazy place. Old 3 story red colored building. Ground floor is all seafood vendors. Live fish flapping around, live crabs, shrimp, very crowded. Upper level is all meats, butchers, some without shirts only wearing bloody bib aprons and smoking while cutting meat. Pig snouts and tongues. Very friendly, no thanks, I had snout last night.
Lower level produce and chickens. Uh, I mean fresh chickens, like killed to order. Many different breeds in cages, pick one out and they cut its throat, there are large kettles in the back to scald it and clean it.
I saw no other westerners in that part of town.
Outside are more vendors. One was selling small birds in bamboo cages, pets I assume, not like in Thailand where they sell you the birds to release for luck, then they return to the vendor for him to sell again. He was also selling bugs, not cooked, but live crickets and other crawly things.
Okay, I need to get back to reality. I caught a #32 bus for 2.5 patacas and it dropped me 2 blocks from my hotel.
Headed over to the sands casino for lunch buffet.
Highly recommended, a little pricey at us$20, but what a spread. Lots of seafood, sushi, wok station, salads, breads, and great hot food, lamb chops, fish, pork neck carved beef and ribs and lots of desserts.
I fed my fat ass well. Walked the casino for a while, saw a few blackjack tables, but the rest of the games were not familiar to me.
After lunch headed to see if I could find lei lei massage ( see my post under saunas) its in a really dingy old mall across from the golden dragon casino. Anyway bo bo took good care of me , good massage , bj and sex all for 500. no bed, massage table.
Later that night went to sanado sauna. It is directly across the street from the metropark hotel. Although the sign says 24 hours, I noticed the entrance closed during the day. Anyway, menu is of course complex. I chose a 60 minute freestyle for 896.
The facilities are nice, I steamed for a little bit, had a soft drink, when it came time for girls I was only offered 2 for the price I selected. Oh well. Both were cute, just my luck I picked a loser. Really crappy attitude zero English, which I almost expected, but not even willing to try to communicate. She did some good tricks, like sprinkling baby powder on me and massaging me with her tits. She did the ice thing which was pleasureable and eventually got me off, but just not a happy girl. I noticed a few of the girls there seemed unhappy. Anyway…. I also had a foot massage for an extra 88 patacas. Had some fried dumplings and a juice. The waitresses were very nice and friendly as well as the managers. Total damage with taxes 978., about US$120.
This morning I walked over to the new yaohan department store. Very upscale place. All designer labels and styles. Very pricey. I liked their supermarket on the upper level. Lots of imported Japanese items. Wandered back toward senado square and the vendors around that area. Stopped in one of the many bakeries, got a little egg pie and a curry fish bun. Good stuff for less than a buck.
A few blocks from the hotel on rua de pequim heading toward the lisboa is another “department store” well on the ground floor are a few items and upstairs is another supermarket/liquor store/household goods. I browsed the booze and stumbled upon this bottle of Chinese liquor filled with snakes. It really freaked me out. I mean ok, a worm in a tequila bottle is a novelty, but this thing was packed with snakes. Akk.
Tonight went to Windsor sauna. This is on the second floor across from the back of the holiday inn. Only a few blocks from my hotel. The manager spoke decent English, told me 798 I can choose any girl. Nice place, I changed, showered, and they sat me in a private little room with my own tv, brought me a drink. The attendant also spoke decent English. He asked if I was ready for a girl, I said sure…. Well they brought the lineup, holy shit, there must have been 35 girls. Mostly Chinese, maybe a thai or two. It took me a while, lots of giggles from the girls, I finally chose cola or kola, a 22 year old. She spoke some English also. She came back in the room with me, sat on my lap, played with my pecker. After a while I suggested we go to a room., which was very nice. Big bed with mirrors, nice shower . she was a real gfe, dfk, bbbj, deep throat, lots of nibbling, licking around the ass. Excellent sex too. After she washed me again.
I went back out watched a little bit of air bud and had another iced tea. When I left the bill was 798, exactly as quoted, no taxes, no extras. Highly recommend this place.
Went for a late dinner, had the Taiwan style frog in hot pot. Tasty.
Noticed some anglo hookers hanging out outside the holiday inn every night. Possibly eastern European, did not solicit me, but targeted the Chinese men. Also a few asian freelancers around there. I was accosted by a drop dead gorgeous Chinese girl near the holiday inn at 9:00 am, she kept saying “how much you give?” maybe just got off shift at a sauna, a real looker.
Overall observations:
My only other asian experiences are in Thailand, so that’s all I can compare with.
Macau is much cleaner than Bangkok, hardly any beggars.
No street cooking.
The taxis here only stop if you flag them down and don’t beep at you just because you are white and walking.
Chinese girls have tits.
Macau needs more jewelry stores.
Some of the food is scary.
Chinese people smoke too much.
Opportunities for sex is everywhere.
