Just returned from my trip to Manila and while I did some things differently than most, maybe some of the info will be helpful. I spent more money than I should have but not more money than I planned. In other words, I knew I was going to spend some cash and did not have a problem with it. Afterall, it was my first trip back to the PI in 25 years having last been stationed at Cubi Point in 1982.

I stayed at the Hyatt Casino in Malate, Manila at $110.00 per night. This was a great hotel that was very guest friendly. At no time did anyone form the staff or security stop me as I made my way through the lobby at all hours of the day with my guest. Great lounge, great restaurant, great fitness center.

I did not venture out as much as I thought I would. I had plans that it was going to be a different girl every night and I might even do a threesome. I had read in other trip reports about EDSA complex and the Makati bars but I found pretty much what I was looking for in the area of the Hyatt. I was mostly drawn to the atmosphere at the LA Cafe. I enjoyed the scenery, anything from 2's to 10's but mostly 7-8's. The beauty of the LA Cafe is that if you aren't obnoxious with the girls, will drop some coin on a drink or two, every single girl is available to you.

Unfortunately, I did not make it to LA Cafe until my 3rd night in Manila. I got suckered into letting a cab driver take me to such places as Pacific Blue and Dynasty. Both had great looking women - 8,9 and 10's. Cover chage was 1000P for Pacific Blue and 350P for Dynasty. Bar fines were going at 10,000P at Pacific Blue and 8,000P at Dynasty. At each place, the mamasan indicated that negotiations could begin at anytime. I wasn't that interested in dropping that kind of coin and ended up at a small bar, at the insistence of the cab driver, Jompoc. The girls were nice enough but in my mind were mostly 5 and 6's. On the first two nights I ended up with the high end of the sacle with a girl named Pauline who was about a 6 in bed - a 2 minute BBBJ and a copule of positions before the deed was done. Same thing in the morning and after the 3000P bar fine and tip of 1000P, she was out the door. Almost exactly scenario the next night with a different girl from Jompoc. Although, this girl was alot better in bed. This girl's name was Carla who was about a 6.5 in the looks department (a little extra weight around the middle) but she was a 9 in bed. The girl loved to give a BBBJ and insisted on leaning on the bed while I entered her from behind. Just before I came she jumped on the bed and started doing herself and asked if I liked to watch. At that point I thought a camera crew was going to jump out of the closet because it was straight out of a porno movie. Obviously, watching her get herself off was ok by me - when in Rome! After her eyes rolled back in her head I figured she was ready for me and she turned over on all fours and let me finish what I came for. My theory is that the cab drivers get a cut from the other bars and since the girls at LA Cafe are freelancers the cab drivers get nothing. The cab drivers insisted that the LA Cafe girls would rob you or would be runners. Neither were true in my case with the girl I got from LA Cafe.

On the 3rd night in Manila I finally made my way to LA Cafe. What a great scene. Mecca - Utopia whatever you want to call it. I met a great girl by the name of Karen. 30 years old with a daughter. The most important from a mongering sense was that she was a 10 in bed. Always started our sessions with allowing me to explore every part of her body with my tongue, insisted on giving me what she called "a special massage". Read: BBBJ until CIM. Then some sheet hockey until I either quit from exhaustion or came again with condom attached. For info, Karen and I think every girl I talked to, quoted me 1500P for short time and 2000P for all night. I always gave her 3000P in the morning on the way out the door.

One night, Karen took me to a bar in Makati called Cafe Havana. The best thing about this place was the "eye ball liberty". The waitresses looked as though the bus delivering the contestants to the Miss Philippines contest had a flat tire out front and the girls found jobs there. These women were gorgeous. I discovered that there are 10's in Manila and then there are 10's in Makati and the Makati 10's are better than the Manila 10's. I also discovered that some of the girls who are having drinkds at Cafe Havana are also working girls. I was always with my girl from LA Cafe so never pursued that.

That's my Reader's Digest version of my trip. I would probably do only one thing different and that is to explore the Makati area a bit more. Next time I may take a night or two to explore the Burgos street area. The rumor is that the new mayor of Manila is going to do their best to shut down the likes of LA Cafe by July 1st. Hopefully, they will come to their senses and let working girls work. Sorry for no pictures - maybe next time.

I am curious, this question to you and other Phils vets: why do people hit Manila so much when AC is not that far and is soo much for less expensive? Not all the AC girls are lookers but you can find them.

Is it that they are overall that much better looking? Or is it the surrounding entertaining in Manila that draws you (AC is boring other than the bars and girls)?

I ask cuz I know I want to return to AC but wonder if I am missing something in Manila.

I also thank you for the report, but seems like you either didn't do any homework before your trip (hopefully you were there on business or something and not just mongering?), or you just got suckered at each and every opportunity. Re: 200 USD barfines in the Philippines (plus p1000 cover charge?), would LOVE to see what kind of quality that fetches!

Sounds like you were quite generous with your LA Cafe girl, but if you were happy, that's really all that matters. I doubt a 30 year old girl with a kid will be getting half that much when she is lucky enough to find a customer. 30 is close to ANCIENT for Angeles bar girls, but I should be the last guy to throw stones at guys chasing MILF'S!

Glad you did find LA Cafe and sounds like you had a lot of fun there. I have never made it to the Makati bars myself -- too expensive (I head straight to Angeles, like Concarne says), but I've seen the pics of the girls there, and there do seem to be plenty of hotties. Sounds like it would be well worth your while to check them out next time you're in Manila. But you might want to do some research ahead of time to see what the going rate is there before a mamasan and cabbie conspire to see what your breaking point might be!

Nice write up about MNL. I wouldn't worry about LA Cafe being shut down, every Mayor since the time of the Conquistadors has proclaimed he/she/it would shut down the nightlife in MNL.

Concarne: part of it is to get a brief reprieve from the things that make AC so great -- numerous go-gos, possessive GFEs, much more mongers, expats, etc. I've noticed that many places in MNL have less province gals and more part-time local gals working (students, secretaries) who seem to care less about seeing you as an ATM. IMO, the MNL gals dress better and party it up with the best of them. Perhaps the higher overall expenses deters many mongers from going to MNL, you'll meet more guys passing through on business (some of whom having no idea AC exists!). But there are "bargain" places to be found like LA CAfe mentioned, EDSA, and some bars in Burgos.

You should definitely swing by and check it out for yourself. Buildup a rolodex as IT's easier for the MNL gals to do sneak outs as its a big city; plus cheaper if U avoid BF to bar. MNL go-gos are usually wide open, with just a few mongers at any given go-go. I'm the type that gets bored of any one locale. Maybe it's just me, but AC is getting way more popular than it used to be when I first started going -- almost to a point where some go-gos can no longer accommodate 20 gal entourages anymore. A few trips ago, a gal in my group spilt some cranky Euro dudes beer at BN and I had to defend her honor -- so I was on her and off her all night :-) (corny JK)

Upon further review, re: your taxi spending habits, re: excessive "cover charges" and OMG-level barfines, you're obviously a dollar-puking BOZO that they saw coming from a mile away.

But PLEASE, keep preaching the "WOW DA PHILS IS DIRT CHEAP YOUNG PUSSY" to all of the MONEY OVER SENSE crowd you surely hang out with... YEAH, that's what the PI needs, a globalized mongering economy where the village idiot with a full wallet shows up and PUKES money so he can have a "good time" that others have for 8 cents on your dollar.
