My mongering trips are starting to get shorter with longer periods in between. I work in Real Estate in California and the winds are certainly shifting. Fortunately I work with bank repos so at least I’m making money, but the easy street of the last few years of good money without having to put a lot of hours in, are gone.

But at least there are still 3 day weekends. I used the Labor Day weekend to make a quick trip to Medellin. Not an easy thing to do from California. I certainly envy the Florida guys when I sit on the plane from LAX to Panama City. It’s 6.5 hours to Panama City and another hour to MDE. I flew Copa Air this time and it wasn’t bad. The price was OK too at $500 compared to $700 the last time I went. I flew Avianca last time and changed planes in BOG.

It was 108 degrees here in Southern California, and it got up to 113 there while I was in MDE. I felt like I was living in air conditioning. The hottest it got in MDE was 81. The rain storms every night were great too. I haven’t seen a drop here in SoCal in 6 months.

I had started PMing Sandman a few weeks ago to hook up with him, but never did. This is the 2nd time we’ve tried to meet and didn’t. I was supposed to meet him in Pattaya with Sweet Mesquite, but he was stuck in a soapie on 2nd Rd, so I had to settle for a quick chat with SM. 4 days in MDE just wasn’t long enough to do all things I wanted to do.

There was no doubt where I was going to stay. The Mansion. I’m lazy, and want the option of girls coming to my place instead of going out hunting. I still enjoy exploring, but there are often some good choices right at the Mansion. Hopefully my pictures will convey that. I took a lot of pictures of the girls hanging around the place. I certainly didn’t bang all the girls that I took photos of. I just wanted to give an idea of what it’s like. For anyone that is unfamiliar with the place; it’s not the same every day. Many of these pictures were taken on Sunday which is the big party day at the Mansion. There are many times when there are no girls around at all. Of course if I had more time, I’d get away from the Mansion, and even the whole Poblado area, and mix it up with the local lasses, but with my limited time, the Mansion is perfect.

I arrived Friday afternoon, and after paying a driver 70k Pesos for the ride, I took up an old flame from last year to release some tension. I thought the 70k was a little high for the taxi, but others seemed to think it was OK. I was only charged 55k by Fernando for the return trip, so who knows. It seems the usual chica fee at the Mansion is still 150k. I got away with 100k for my first chica, but after that they were pretty insistent on 150k. Of course I was going after the higher quality girls so that might have had something to do with it.

I went and got a local sim card from the boys around the corner from the Mansion for 20k. Another 30k for some minutes, and I was set for communication. I picked up some money with my ATM, but didn’t realize it would be the last time I would be able to use it. I had just gotten a new card a few days previously, but I mistakenly cut up the new card, and I brought the old one which expired on 8/31. I couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t work. When I finally figured out the problem, I realized I would have to walk back to the Mansion to get my credit card. After getting my credit card and walking back to the cash machine, I found out my credit card wouldn’t work either. My pin was not valid. By now I was getting frustrated. There were women to be had, and here I was wasting time with this nonsense. I went back to my room and used Skype to call my credit card company and get a valid pin.

The rest of the trip went much smoother. There were a great bunch of guys to go on trips with and as usual the girls loved the portable printer I bring to make photos with. I make 8x10’s for most of them, and they love it. It’s a nice way to break the ice. Actually, there was one guy that wasn’t so great. It was obvious he was taking a lot of drugs, and Greg had to ask him to leave. It was a relief to the rest of us. He was turning into a PITA.

I did have one other slight mishap, and that was at the Casa Lejos Orientes. I was there a year ago and had a great time, so I wanted to go back. I went there with another Mansion inmate, and it started out great until we found out they wanted 220k for an in house session. When we declined and asked for our bill, they tried to charge us 300k for a bottle of whisky that we bought. We got it down to 150k which was still a ripoff, and left pissed off. Obviously, I don’t recommend the place. Here’s a couple of pics of the girls there. They were actually quite friendly and fun; just overpriced.

The highlight of my trip was this girl named Mellisa. She showed up early afternoon one day and Greg and I started shooting pictures of her. In no time she had her clothes off and was modeling for us in the bathroom. I couldn’t stand it any longer, and dragged her up to my room for more photos etc. Here are the results.

The worst night for mongering in MDE is Sunday unless you’re staying at the Mansion. There is a bbq and pool party every Sunday, and quite a few girls show up hoping for a little gringo loving, or at least a free meal. This Sunday was no exception and my camera and printer was kept very busy entertaining all the company. Over the course of the day, I took 2 different girls up to the room and got lots of phone numbers. For those that are new to MDE; a cell phone is a huge advantage. It allows you to get numbers of chicas for the inevitable dry spells. Colombia is not like Brazil or Thailand. The P4P is much more subdued. That’s especially true if you want to indulge in the street chicas or the Centro Massage places. You really need a guide the first time. I would never have found the Centro entertainment without Boyd’s help. He’s the new part owner of El Castillo, and maybe the Mansion too. He was very helpful and a good guy. He took 3 of us on a whirlwind tour of the downtown massage places. I had already been to Energy the day before and took this one for a spin.

For pure fun, my favorite mongering destination is still Thailand. Maybe it’s because it was my first destination where I felt like a kid in a candy store. There’s nothing like having hundreds or even thousands of girls to choose from at a moments notice. The performance of the girls in Thailand is somewhere between Rio and MDE. It’s cheaper than both places but of course harder to get to.

As has been said many times on this forum, Rio has no competition when it comes to sex crazed garotas, and of course the termas. I had the time of my life there, but the Real was 3:1 back then, and it’s hard to pay 30% more for everything now. If you’re new to this forum, feel free to look at my previous trip reports to other locations to get a feel for my viewpoint of the differences.

Sorry for the late response.

I use a Canon I90 portable printer. I like it because it makes 8 X 10s. It's smaller than a laptop, but a little thicker. There are likely better choices if you don't care about making big prints.

The 150k is basically a one shot deal. Not sure what they want for toda la noche.
