MONDAY SEPTEMBER 9TH, 2002
I never sleep very well unless I am by myself. When someone sleeps with me I wake up, fall back asleep, wake up, fall back asleep and this goes on the entire night. I don’t remember what time I finally woke up for good but whenever I did that was when it was time for a round of morning sex, well actually, afternoon sex with May. I don’t have any notes on the session but I remember it being pretty good, just as it was with her and B the night before.
For her good services I went ahead and gave her the full 2000 baht for the long time. I thought she had earned it. She showered up and took off.
The Grand President has a late checkout time of 6:00pm and that is another reason why I like to stay there. After being in Thailand a week now there were certain things I needed to catch up on. Call me a nerd, but I can’t go for very long without reading the latest tech news, US political news, and current world events.
So I took my laptop down to the internet café in Times Square and caught up on a lot of reading. I also chatted via instant messenger with Dart for a while and made a point to upload to my server all the pictures I had taken so far. My laptop was brand new and I wasn’t really fearful of anything happening, but I have learned to always make backups of stuff that is important to you.
The internet café had good download speed but horrible upload speed and that is mainly what kept me there for the better part of the afternoon. I also had no hotel reservations for Pattaya but I knew where I wanted to stay. Going on Blazers’ recommendation and a few others I decided to stay at The Residence Garden. If you go, be sure to book the room through the Freelancer Bar’s Website at http://www.freelancerbar.com/residence/main.htm
If you do this you’ll get a one bedroom suite for 1300 baht. If you want to see the regular website for the hotel check out this URL:

I booked online and the thanks message said I would receive a confirmation in 24-48 hours. By the time I was ready to leave the internet café I had already received my confirmation from Ottesen. I had explained in the booking request that I would be coming in late – around 8 or 9 pm. He said no problem in the email, but if my plans changed to please information him because they were running close to capacity.
So after uploading my pictures, chatting with Dart, booking my hotel in Pattaya and catching up on current events, I was really to make the journey down to what Maxim Magazine in March of 2000 called, “The world’s most dangerous beach resort.” (Excuse me while I chuckle a bit at yellow journalism)
I talked about this briefly in my last Thailand trip report and I’ll touch in it again since I just found the actual article online. In March of 2000 in Maxim Magazine there was an article about Pattaya. The basic slant was that it was dangerous and that you would OD on Viagra, or get killed in the crossfire of gang activities, get AIDS and basically just come back to your home country in nothing but a body bag. But I got something much more out of the article. Not a desire to stay way from Thailand and Pattaya, but a very, very, very strong desire to actually go there and check it all out.
I had heard and read about Thailand before that article and had a slight desire to go there at some point in my life. That article just sealed the deal for me. I couldn’t quite believe the place was a dangerous as the article made it out to be. And I had just recently started out in the hobby of mongering. But at that time in my life I still thought I had died and gone to heaven after discovering Nogales in November of ’99. It couldn’t be any better than Nogales, Sonora, could it? LOL!
So if any of you are interested, here is a typical American journalist’s biased view on Pattaya. http://www.maximonline.com/maximwear/articles/article_3087.html
I caught a cab back to the Grand President even though I could have walked. My goal was to find a taxi that would take me to Pattaya and not have to use the taxi mafia in front of the GP. I told him I wanted to go to Pattaya and he was all too eager to take me. We agreed on 1100 baht for the taxi ride down.
He took me back to the Grand President and I quickly packed up and checked out while he waited for me downstairs. I was out of there pretty close to 6pm.
As we were getting out of Bangkok and all the traffic I slipped the Spider-Man DVD I bought at Pantip Plaza into my laptop for viewing. The taxi driver made me pretty nervous though always glancing over to catch a peek. As we were in the middle of stop and go traffic so I decided it might be better to just listen to some MP3’s on the way down there.

The ride itself was pretty uneventful. At the internet café I printed out the instructions in Thai on how to find The Residence Garden. Even with those the taxi driver had to stop about 3-4 times and ask directions to find it. He kept saying Jomtien, Jomtien. And to the best of my knowledge it was not located in Jomtien Beach so I kept telling him no. We finally found it and I checked in.
They had my reservation and they also gave me a letter from Ben (Carlsburg) from the Freelancer Bar. It had a whole bunch of items on it. It said there was no joiner fee for bringing the girls back and even two girls were not a problem. But they didn’t want two dudes sharing a room. Then it also had an invitation to check out the FLB Bar as well. If you went and brought the letter you got a free beer. I had checked it out the last time and didn’t really have a desire to go back so I passed.
I liked the room very much. It was very new and in good shape. They had a small kitchenette that was really more like a counter and refrigerator. A couch, chair and glass coffee table with a TV were in the living room. The bedroom had a small electronic safe in the closet and a queen size bed with a nightstand on each side. The safe was big enough to hold my laptop which was a big plus for me.
I showered up and got ready to head out. It was probably around 9 or 10pm by now. The Residence Garden is kind of off the beaten path a bit. And I had to pay close attention on the route I took down so I knew how to get back. The street The Residence Garden is on was not that busy, but sure enough a baht bus was soon zooming by. I hopped on and it took me down Thappraya Road to 2nd Road where it hung a right. Cool! I was going in the correct direction. I stayed on and buzzed it to stop when I got to 2nd Road and Soi Pattayaland 2. Yes. It was time to return to the Classroom! I had some learning to do!
I still like the atmosphere at that bar very much, It is well lit and you can see the girls very well. But I didn’t find anyone I wanted to do so I quickly moved on. I think I hit the Best Friend Beer Bar just down a little ways off of Beach Road. A quick scan around the place and it was time to head over to Walking Street.
Super Baby A Go Go

Super Baby is off a small street on Walking Street called Soi Diamond. As you enter Walking Street from Beach Road stay to the left. You’ll pass Soi 14 and 15 and the next street will be Soi Diamond. Frozen, Vixens and Super Girl a Go Go will all be on the left hand side of Soi Diamond. Paris, Carousel Club, and Super Baby will all be on the right side of Soi Diamond. The Soi Diamond street itself is separated by a two story beer bar. This beer bar kind of hides the Go Go’s on the right side, but rest assured they are there. The beer bars also feature a rotating carousel so you can spin around while you get drunk.
I had entirely missed Super Baby A Go Go on my last trip even thought it just across the way from Super Girl. So I walked in there to check the place out.
A blond girl who was just getting ready to dance noticed me eyeing her so she came out to chat with me for a while. I wasn’t quite sold on her, but bought her a drink anyway. The she had to dance, but shortly after she started the DJ started playing the Star Wars intro which signaled a show was about to start. About 8 girls came out dressed in grass skits and floral headbands and I think they did some kind of traditional Issan dance, but I am not entirely sure. The music sounded Indian and somewhat tribal like. I had heard that same song in Angel Witch and all the girls started going crazy when they heard it. They even dance differently doing more motions with their hands than with their bodies. I decided to keep blonde girl in the back pocket for later and move on.
Happy A Go Go
Happy is just a little ways down from Super Baby and is, appropriately enough, located on Soi Happy. It is pretty easy to find as the street Soi Happy is lined with Beer Bars all the way up until it dead ends into Happy A Go Go. The doorman sits on a stool with a rope in his hand that is attached to the door. As soon as he sees you coming he will pull open the door for you to enter. Right across the street is a similar setup with Living Dolls A Go Go. The street it is on is not quite lined with as many beer bars as Soi Happy, but the deal is still kind of the same. You walk up the street/alleyway and it dead ends into the Go Go.
I still couldn’t decide on anyone there although I liked the atmosphere at this bar. I also liked the “Pattaya” way for Go Go dancers. In Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy the girls get up on stage and stay in one fucking place the entire time. You cannot see other girls and they never switch positions.
In Pattaya, they almost always begin their dance set by entering stage left. As the non-stop music mix changes songs they move down the stage switching polls. Two girls get off the stage on each switch and two new girls get on. They switch positions with each song and it gives you a nice opportunity to view a variety of girls.
But I again headed out and this time went to the Dollhouse. You can never miss the Dollhouse based on the huge neon sign pointing the way. This Dollhouse didn’t have a kitchen though like the one on Soi Cowboy. Uniforms of the girls and the prices were all the same though.
I happen to glance behind me and I swear I noticed a familiar face. She looked a lot like Kai, a girl I took from the Best Friend Beer Bar last trip. I didn’t want to stare too much, but she looked damn familiar. She had blonde highlights in her hair this time.
It was kind of funny that I saw her at the Dollhouse this night though. As I recall from my last trip after I bar fined her and had my night of fun, I continued to see her at the Dollhouse each subsequent day/night. Each time she was with a date but Dart and I were still looking around. We still continued to bump into her several times though.
Now on my first night back in Pattaya after 10 months of being away, I see her again in the Dollhouse. Chance? Not a chance!
It was getting really late now and I needed to make a decision. So I went back and got the blonde girl from Super Baby. As soon as I walked in she was happy to see me. I bar fined her and we headed back to The Residence Garden.
Now every girl who I had talked to this night asked me where I was staying. And when I said Residence Garden not one of them understood what I saying, including this one.
All I knew was the direction I needed to go so we walked up to 2nd Road and caught a baht bus that headed south. I guess 2nd Road south of South Pattaya Road turns in Pratamnak Road. South of South Pattaya Road is also where Beach Road turns into Walking Street.
The good news is that Thrappraya Road is also the main route to Jomtien Beach. So all you need to do to get back to the Residence Garden is catch a baht bus South on Pratamnak Road and you are all set. (Note: 2nd Road is one way north of South Pattaya Road) The bus goes right by The Residence Garden. I would have thought the buses just go straight on Pratamnak Road but they ALWAYS make the left turn and head kind of southeast on Thrappraya Road.

So we get back to the hotel and start to chat a bit. Her name was Marleena and she was 23. She told me that she was ¾ Thai and ¼ French. I had originally thought she dyed her hair blonde, but she insisted that it was her natural color. We ended up talking quite a bit before the session as her English was quite good. I found out a lot about her. But what she told me kind of bit a damper on the mood when she said that both of her parents were killed in an automobile accident and she was now all by herself. She spoke French as well and said she had traveled to France in the past.
We finally got down to business and she started things off with a decent BBBJ. I wanted her to get on for ride but she didn’t want to because she said she would finish too easily. I asked her again and she relented. Sure enough, she seemed to finish rather easily and quite loud as well.
After that we went at in missionary for a while until I finally came. It was an interesting session with her overall. She seemed to have an ever so slight attitude about herself though which prevented the session from being great. Instead, it was just good.
I ended up giving her 1500 baht for her short time services. She would be the only girl I did in Pattaya this night.
