A quick hop to LOS
No good deed goes unpunished, and when a friend asked me to search the net for a cheap ticket to Thailand I should have avoided temptation and said no, but I didn’t and wile searching I found a cheap last minute flight to Bangkok via Dubai. I know we all say that sometimes the small head takes over, but this time it happened for real, the next thing I remember I was on an Emirates flight to paradise. The trip in was divided into two flights with a three and a half our stop over at Dubai duty free, which is ok but a bit overrated.
I had arranged a transfer from the airport with the hotel in Pattaya, which was a good idea because based on the map the hotel had supplied on its web site I would never have found the place. The Hotel was the Diamond City Place, it was clean and the rooms big for BHT1430.00 a night including breakfast it was not a bad deal but it’s situated a little too far up South Pattaya road to be convenient. One nice feature that other hotels should consider, your breakfast voucher is valid all day from 7.00 until 20.00, a nice touch.
November 20th
After unpacking and a quick ss&s I hit the street, the B-buses on South Pattaya rd. don’t run as often as the ones on 2nd rd and beach rd. so I walked the about 10 minute walk to walking street. Took a b-bus to Soi 7 there I had dinner at Tequila junction, this is a bit of a tradition with me then I meandered through soi 6-8 before heading up to walking street,.1st stop Angel witch, It was about 9.40 in the evening and the place felt like shit I didn’t even have a drink before heading out. I then had a thought, an epiphany of sorts, I have become a little stayed in my ways. Hitting the same Go-go bars, clubs and restaurants trip after trip, time after time, it was time for a change. I decided to hit all those places I had not been to before. So I sat at a bar on Soi Happy a go-go and contemplated my trip. The bar girl was very sexy and we played bar games until about two in the morning then the strangest thing happened. It took me a wile to understand but she was a cherry girl, the first I have ever encountered in Thailand. She would go with me for BHT2000.00 LT but no boom-boom. I politely declined and went walk about eventually picking up Nan from one of the bars at the entrance to walking street. We sat around and chatted for a wile and we settled on BHT2000.00 LT plus BHT300 bar fine, I questioned this, since when do you pay a bar fine at a beer bar at Mamma san was adamant and I liked Nan although she was a slightly older girl and I did not want to walk on so I paid the fine and we headed off hand in hand back to the hotel. She was great fun and I enjoyed her company, her English was better then most so the night slipped away as did most of the next day, interspersed with great sessions , chats and TV. I had stocked up the bar fridge when I had arrived so we had some things to snack on and it was to say the leased a great welcome back to Pattaya. She left at about 4pm the next day. I went back to sleep with a smile on my face, the quick hop to LOS had started very well in deed.

I woke in the early evening and took a Baht bus 2nd Road and walk down to the sizzlers for a light dinner, I like their salad bar. First stop on my search for new hunting grounds in the land of the hello welcome was Silver Star 3 on walking street and I was pleasantly surprised an unpretentious, small old style go-go bar with some friendly girls working there, if it had been a little later in the evening I might have bar fined there, but the evening was still a puppy so after a few drinks I went on my way. After a long relaxing foot massage next stop beavers, now I might have walked past this hole in the wall go-go bar a hundred times, and after one drink in its dank dark and dirty interior with its half a dozen girls well past their sell by date, I will continue to walk, if not run past it in the future. I meandered down walking street until I saw Roxy’s on my right it looked worth a stop so I strolled along in.
I was pleasantly surprised by this up marked venue. It is set up more like a show bar then a go-go and the shows, if a little tame where well choreographed. I had a few drinks and settled in. This little cutie came and cuddled up to me, she couldn’t speak much English but she got the message across her name was Luri. So after a few more drinks we headed out bar fine of B600 plus B1000 for short time. She cuddled up in the baht bus on the way back to the hotel and she kissed and cuddled on the way up to the room, but when we hit the room she ran off to have a shower. After that she just seemed to want to get everything over and done with as quickly as possible, one of the worst sessions I have ever had in Thailand, afterwards she was had a quick shower and was out of the door as fast as her little legs would carry her.

November 22
The next morning, in the early afternoon I dragged my self out of bed, I felt a little under the weather (I almost never wake up in the morning in LOS, I wonder why?) I had a lunch date with Sue, the love of the Popes life. He had sent her a present, some vitamin tablets the old romantic that he is, and I had promised to drop them off. She met me at Fuji’s Japanese restaurant at the big c.
Her English is excellent and she has a very funny way of telling the stories of the comings and goings on walking street. She is a manager of a beer bar called maxims on Soi 16 near the entrance to Club Boesche.
I promised to meet a CH member staying at the hotel at 3.30 so after lunch I took a bus back to the hotel. GL turned up a few hours later and we headed out, it’s ok to monger alone but I much prefer hobbying with a wingman. We started on Soi 7 after a dinner at Soi Danna’s Beef eaters. GL loved playing tricks on the girls. The main one involved a set of golden false teeth which usually resulted in the girls almost pissing themselves with laughter. It set the tone for a fun evening. We sat at a few bars and put our head into a few go-goes. There seemed to be a lot of lady boys around as well as an invasion of mamma, papa and the kids. I don’t know which was worse, actually I do. The lobster tanned, ogle eyed, fat, family tourists. They come in and treat a lifestyle as a tourist attraction, fucking it up for every one in the long run. Why don’t they stay in Phuck-it (Phuket) there they belong?
We stopped at Silver 2 ago-go which was a hole in the wall then onto World Wide on beach road which I have found to be underrated, there were some nice girls in this old style go-go bar but it was way to early to bar fine and we moved onto walking street. We stopped at Pinky ago-go where the entertainment was a little rougher, including a dart show, fire show and a girl opening coke bottles in a rather disturbing way that didn’t involve a bottle opener or the use of her hands.
We then went to Sue’s bar as promised and spent a few pleasant hours drinking the night away.
We then visited Taboo next door to Club Boesche, it was getting late and the girl on my lap was really working it, whispering all kinds of promises about the fun things she would do if I bar fined her. She didn’t have a great face but the body was more then passable she had a very cute way about her, last night I went on looks tonight I am going on performance, so GL and I parted ways and I headed back to the hotel with Sow in tow. Back at the hotel she lived up to every promise she had made in the bar I was one very happy tired and satisfied monger. She showed almost a Brazilian degree of enthusiasm, got to love it.

I woke had a last session with Sow and sent her on her way. The flu was beginning to bite and I think she was happy to be on her way, I couldn’t blame her. The med’s were not helping. The cure, well how about a soapie? So after a little shopping I hooked up with GL and headed to Soi 2. We stopped at Sabai Dee but the selection wasn’t great so we went down the road to Sabai Land where we both found some girls to our taste, I headed to the room with Lie. The soapie was great and the bedroom session fun , she didn’t want to kiss me and the way I was coughing and wheezing I really couldn’t blame her but beyond that I had a fine old time.

A food festival had started on walking street which was interesting and made for a more festive feel to the place.
November 24th
I was coughing up a lung and I needed to get some sleep. I woke early and had a bite of breakfast that made me feel ill, no reflection on the food it was ok. As I walked along I noticed that there was construction everywhere. Pattaya is a city on the move.
Wile I was walking I noticed a sign for Alcazar, anyone who has been to Rio will know why I found this amusing, especially with all the pink shirted falang around, it looked like a Jag fan club meeting, or an intervention.
Tonight was the Water Festival of Loi Kathong and a lot of the girls had dressed up for the occasion. GL and I walked walking street stopping in at a few places.
We hit a go-go called gothic down one of the side streets, give it a miss with all the heavy make up and witch costumes you would be flying blind if you bar fined anything, it’s a nice concept taken a little to far.
I didn’t feel up to much so after a dinner at an Arab restaurant and a visit to Sue’s bar I headed back to the hotel alone and got some much needed sleep.
November 25th
Time flies when you are having fun and almost as soon as my I arrived it was time to leave I actually woke up early very unusual for me and went walkabout. The weather had been great since I arrived, very cool and dry for Thailand and walking about was a pleasure.
Headed to the night market but I already had my quota of “bad boys go to Pattaya” t-shirts.
After lunch at sizzlers I head back to the hotel for a nap before my last fling in Pattaya before leaving for BKK. GL and I hit a few go-goes and visited Sue’s bar one last time.
We also made a run at a few new, old and never visited bars
I don’t remember where I bar find this girl from, maybe GL can help me out but thanks to the meds and the flu by this time I was pretty much sleep walking

She stayed the night and was a really fun time at least twice, but my body was beginning to fail me. Maybe I should have stopped at this shop for a little extra wood…
November 26th
Got up, had some last minute fun with pcutie before sending her on her way and going to arrange a taxi to BKK. GL must have has a heavy night because we had arranged to leave at 12 but he couldn’t get his ass out of bed until after one. It was obviously time for him to leave Pattaya he looked as bad as I felt. We left at about 13.00 and slept most of the way to BKK, after dropping GL off at his hotel I arrived at the Nana at about 17.00 checked got room 607 one of the bigger suites but it hasn’t been redone yet, two bedrooms two bathrooms lots of room to play. The Nana hotel is strictly a single male traveler looking to have fun hotel, working girls hang out in the parking lot and you are just across the road from the notorious Nana Entertainment Plaza. The hotel looks like it belongs in the early 80’s, calling it retro doesn’t quite cover it, but it is clean has excellent breakfasts, a great tour desk and a short walk from the BTS, right behind the over priced Marriot it offers good value for money. Upgrade to a deluxe or suite, you will not regret it, the rooms are old world but this hotel probably has the best sound proofing in Bangkok the rooms are quite and with the black out curtains closed nice and dark. The pool is a nice size and above the noise and pollution of the street. I love this place.
After check in I had made arrangement to take my SA Thai’s sister out to dinner. It was funny as hell she and five of her friends all in their school uniforms, the hotel made them wait outside with a security guard until I came down to claim them, it was made very clear that they would not be allowed up to my room. I quickly explained that my company gave scholarships to some Thai students and these girls where some of our best students and I was taking them out to dinner to congratulate them on their excellent exam results. The girls, not wanting to be thought of as working girls quickly confirmed this and we hurriedly went on our way. I spent the next few hours wining and dining a bunch of girls not one of which who could speak any English as if that wasn’t bad enough they flirted like hell with me, but I am quite convinced that my SA Thai would have happily cut off my nuts if I had even laid a finger on her sister or one of her friends as tempting as the idea was. In my defense all the girls where over 18, they went to great pains to explain this to me. At about midnight with my willpower was fading fast, I put them in a taxi with a few baht and sent them on their merry way.

As quickly as my little legs would take me I headed to NEP, visited Dave the rave at AW we chatted for a wile before I headed off to Rainbow 4, which was packed. I hiked back towards AW planning to BF one of the ladies that Dave had recommended, but I was side tracked into the Go-go next door AW, a little hole in the wall place I have never bothered to visit before with about ten girls in the place. I BF a girl from there her name was Maew and I spent the best part of the next three days with her.

November 27th
Spent the day around Siam center and Paragon, did a little shopping, It was kind of nice just a lazy day, even though I was taking everything under the sun to feel better, the flu was draining me of energy and I was done in by the late afternoon.
I had made a plan to meet GL from Pattaya, but I wasn’t that surprised when he failed to turn up, I will leave it to him to expound on his adventures if he so chooses, the totally pussy whipped man child that he is. I hadn’t planned on seeing Maew again but it was early and I ran into her wile out for a walk about, I could think of worse ways to spend the evening so we headed to Soi 5 for a bite and hung out in one of the no name bars just drinking and chatting. We headed back to the hotel and wile I had a shower she fell asleep! I didn’t have the heart to wake her so I sat there like an asshole watching TV. As I was falling a sleep she woke up, I guess she appreciated the extra sleep and energetically took care of my needs. You have to love a dedicated Thai girl with a strong worth ethic as Tuesday became Thursday we napped and had all kinds of fun in a sleepy haze.

November 28th
It was early afternoon when I sent Maew on her way. With promises to see her later, which at the time I had no intention of keeping. She was fun but this is Thailand and there is more fun to be had out there. I spent most of the day in bed eating room service or at the pool and trying to beat the flu. I knew it was my last night in paradise but as I showered and shaved I realized that I didn’t have the energy to get up much enthusiasm so it was with some relief that I received the call that there was a girl downstairs who wanted to come up it was no big surprise, Maew. She didn’t feel like going to work, or going out for that matter so we spent the night in, maybe she was coming down with my flu. She ordered some room service and we cleared the bar of the remaining drinks and snacks I had bought. We spent a lazy night cuddling, napping and having fun. All in all we kept things interesting. Flu and vitamin V make for an interesting combination, you feel like you are going to die but you want to go coming.
November 29th
I felt a little better the next morning isn’t that always the way? You start recovering just as you are leaving. Maew helped me pack and then after a little goodbye fun I sent her on her way and headed down for breakfast, for the first time in over a week I had an appetite. I had some last minute shopping to do so I took the BTS out to Siam and starting at MBK I hit a few shopping centers bought some DVDs, CDs, computer software and other odds and ends by the time I headed back to the hotel it was after one. I stopped at one of the bars across from Nana and quickly pulled a cutie for a short time. It was rushed, it was immediate, it was sweaty, it was a little dirty, it was acrobatic, it was aerobic…it was the perfect way to say adieu to LOS. After sending cutie, yes I forgot her name, on her way it was already time to check out and get a cab to the airport.
The flight home was uneventful, although Dubai duty free really didn’t live up to its hype.
Conclusion
I have now been to South America and Thailand within a few weeks of each other and feel as equipped as I will ever be to make an objective comparison and I can’t, I won’t. There is too much to recommend both places, so here is the short and the sweet of it. Its like when you are at a club and you see the cutest green eyed big chested and long legged redhead standing next to the hottest petite, slant eyed, long haired brunet and you have to choose…like the good book says “if you got the money and you have the time , do them both” and as often as possible.
Oh BTW what is Rio like in late February?

Hi HM
Thanks for the kind words. I have been to Dubai twice, but unfortunately both times where for only one or two nights and I have some friends who live there so I have never got any mongering in, but if you need info on hotels, tours shopping I am your man. BTW according to my buddies who live in Dubai there are over 80 000 working girls in the city! not bad for a population of less then 1.4 mil. the going rate i am told is US$100.00 short time.

Hey GL
Give me a break, I had the flu I couldn't even smoke a cigar hell i couldn't even walk straight the whole time I was in Los. Drinking and meds do not go together. I might not be able to take you up on PI in Feb but you owe me drinks and I never give up on free drinks. BTW be thankful I didn't post a picture of you with your gold dentures.

Hi Priew
Thanks for the kind words. We are mongers we shouldn’t have to choose! If there ever was a group into immediate gratification it is us.
Actually I have been quite lucky health wise this year. Last year I pretty much got sick on all my trips but since I have upped me vitamins, and I don’t me vitamin v, I have been much better, but it was a timely reminder to back some antibiotics then traveling.
When you are tired of Pattaya you are tired of life…or married (i.e. dead)

Thanks for posting your adventures, Isawal, a reminder to us to build up our resistance ahead of our travel. Too bad about the "flu" (whatever kind of alien bug it was), but nice to see you didn't let it get you down too far. My bugaboo is Pattaya is food poisoning, I've been felled with it twice (once preventable by common sense: don't have a street vendor BBQ a squid for you at 2 AM, it's been dead way too long. Of course, common sense tends to fade as the night goes on....).
I agree with you and Priew, there is literally no comparison between these monger paradises.
