This is my fourth trip to Colombia and second in a row to Cali. I kept telling myself that I would venture to new places. What brought me back to the same place twice in a row? Very simple gentlemen; IMHO, more bang for the buck, gorgeous women and great attitudes as well as a great non pro scene. In regards to safety, Cali still has some more issues than the other cities so I don’t think they see as many foreigners. This, I believe, has not caused prices to be driven up as much as places like MDE or CTG. Another great thing about Cali is the close proximity of other cities in the coffee valley. I was able to do a little more mongering in Pereira this time around. The main purpose of this report is to provide further info on some new P4P venues I found there.
I will emphasize like others have that Cali is not safe for a newbie traveling on his own, especially one who does not speak the language. I have friends that live in the city that keep me up on where to go and places to stay out of. I also speak Spanish but yet I still make it a point to stay vigilant.
One of the choices I was very happy I made this time around was staying at the Hostal San Fernando. I payed 75,000 pesos for my room or a little less than $40 US a night. Rigo, who has run this place for a while now, is a really nice guy. I arrived late on a Friday night and he made it a point to put me in touch with some of the other guests who were already out on the town with some girls. I met up with them and that ended up being a hell of a fun night out at Juanchito. Juanchito is where people go to dance into the early morning hours after Avenida Sexta bars start to shut down.
The guys I met that night that were staying at the hotel ended up being a cool bunch. The friends I have the live in Cali are more family oriented and not the kind to go mongering with. So it was cool to have some wingmen this time around, with similar mindsets, to hit the casas and clubs with. That made this trip all the better.
One of the best things about this place is the location. It’s in Barrio San Fernando which gave me the impression of being the “Poblado” of Cali. It’s a safe upper scale neighborhood with some cool restaurants, bars and coffee shops right down the street. One of our favorites ended up being a Cuban restaurant around the corner called D’KUBA SON. Address is Cra 34. 3A-35. Place has a kick ass filet mignon plate.
As far as Cali, there is not much new to report from my last TR. Among some of the best places is still Clinica Doctor Amor for a daytime option, which always has a great selection of chicas for a very good price of 38,000 pesos an hour. One thing to mention is there seems to be a good rate of turnover. I saw a couple of familiar faces but for the most part it was all new chicas from my last trip which was only six months earlier. There’s another casa I found that is around the corner from Clinica. If you walk out the door of Clinica, go left and hang a left at the next block, it is right next to a convenience store. Not as many girls as Clinica and a little bit of a higher price but still worth checking out. Here is one chica that let me take a few shots. She was a wild fuck, great BBBJCIM and on the second round, multiple positions and let me pull out and shoot on her ass. Also it wasn’t rushed as we went past the hour without anyone making a big deal about it.
La Piscina and Kaliente were some of the best spots for night time visits. I had a great session at Kaliente with Karla and afterwards me and my buddy hung out downstairs with the girls we had sessioned with, had a few drink, had the manager order us some food and basically had a little party into the morning hours.
PEREIRA
We decided to hit Pereira for a couple of days. We were four guys and what we decided to do at the recommendation of Rigo was to rent a mini van from the terminal and have it all to ourselves. We did this from the company Panorama which charged us 180,000 to have an air conditioned mini van to ourselves for the ride up to Pereira. Paying the $20 or so bucks a piece was well worth it because we did not have to deal with a bus that was going to make a bunch of stops and we had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the scenery.
We each got a room for 30,000 pesos or $15 a night at Hotel Suites Center. Rooms are pretty basic, but had hot water in the shower and a descent breakfast. My only major complaint was it was in the noisy downtown of Pereira. So if you had a room on the street side it could get a bit noisy but mine was on the inside which was quiet. Also the toilets had no seat so you had to sit right on the rim. But the rooms were clean and for the price I could not complain too much.
I did notice this time around that the P4P scene in Pereira is a bit pricier then Cali. We found a casa which is open during the day time called La Terraza. Address is Calle 38 No. Bb-20. Phone number: 336-6516.
When we walked in they only had two chicas available. But the manager got on the phone and got about four more chicas to come over. Only thing here was the girls set their own price and the average was 90,000 an hour. I think we were spoiled by the prices in Cali as this seemed high. The place is worth checking out though as the selection wasn’t bad and there aren’t many daytime places in Pereira.
Most of our time in Pereira was spent at STARS club. Right around the corner from the mall La Victoria, any cab should know how to get there from that area. This place is a strip joint like many in Colombia where the girls hang around and every now and then one does a show on the stage. They obviously don’t see many foreigners here. One thing that was amusing was two waiters almost getting into a fist fight over who would be serving us. There are a lot of girls here and a wide variety. Everything from black girls, morenas to the light skinned Paisas. Some real stunners in this place. Price to take a girl to a room for an hour was 60,000 pesos.
Another place we went to check out was La Whiskeria. This had the feel of a small pub with available girls just hanging out throughout the place. Address is Avda. Del Ferrocarril. No. 13-43. Telephone # 334-6812.
Probably about 20 or so girls available here, some good talent. Price to session here was also 60,000 pesos. Only thing here was I got stuck with a room with no bed. It only had a small futon type couch but at the time I didn’t really mind. Afterwards we had a great time hanging out, drinking rum with the girls.
Also stopped at La Barra Cultural which I mentioned in my last TR. Did not session here because I did not see anything to my liking. The quality of the girls wasn’t as good as the last time I was there.
There’s another place right down the street from La Barra Cultural which is known as the afterparty place. It’s the only place open later in Pereira. The other clubs like STARS close down around 2am and this is where the girls that want to keep working go to. My friend pulled a real cutie from here for TLN after not finding anything to his liking at STARS. If I remember correctly he paid about 120,000. The hotel charged like 5 bucks extra for an overnight guest.
On the way back to Cali we stopped at a restaurant on the outskirts of Pereira called Almeria. Cra 12 No. 1A-25. Open air restaurant with great steaks and typical Colombian cuisine for the usual good Colombian prices.
Next trip will probably be somewhere new, finally venture to SEA or Brazil perhaps but I always see Cali in my future.
Well guys, hope this helps. Feel free to hit me up with any questions. Enjoy.

Very nice info, thank you!
I am looking into a second look to Colombia and Cali is in the mix (with MDE)...do you have any notion as to how much renting a room in Cali for a month would go for?
TIA

Stay the fuck out of Cali unless you really like to live dangerously. If you like to live dangerously, try Buenaventura, Cali's Pacific port.
There is nothing in Cali that you can't find in Medellín, Bogotá, Cartagena, or even Barranquilla. The Coffee Valley cities of Armenia, Pereira, and Manizales can be good choices as well.
If you like Caleñas, there are plenty in Cartagena.

Hey Baypilot, this is a nice report from Cali, my core mongering destination. So thank you! It's nice to see that the status quo is still in effect.

My airport pick-up guy in CALI told me that 2 weeks ago a gringo and his novia got held up in GRANADA, the nicest neighborhood in CALI by 2 ladrones on a motorcycle and PISTOLS drawn, They forcefully took his novias purse, a watch, cash in pockets and both cell phones.. He said that they were 2 blocks from the hotel on the OCTAVA con 11.. He told me that the ladrones are starting to comb this area more because the KNOW and are LEARNING that this is were gringos and the people with money are being congregated.. I think I will be staying in Medellin for a while until further notice.. BUT violence can happen ANYWHERE in Colombia..

Baypilot,
Thanks for the report and update on Cali. Cali is one of my favorite destinations and my first South American city where I mongered. I have been to Cali so many times that I have lost count but have not been back there for a while now. I hope to visit Cali soon when it is safe even though when I used to go to Cali I ended spending more time in Tulua and if I stay in Cali I always stay at the Intercontinental and never had a problem around the hotel area. I however, did experience some life threatening moments in Cali.

The problem with Cali at this point in time is a lack of jobs. There are a lot of young guys hanging around with nothing to do and little to eat. And FARC/narcotrafficking activity has increased in the Cali-Buenaventura corridor.
Five years ago, things were a lot better in Cali.

When I was in Cali in July 2007, I didn't see or experience any problems. Having said that, I much prefer Medellin and the coffee valley as well, I found the pickings far better in MDE then anything I saw in Cali. When I went back in December, I stayed in the Medellin area solo, it was plenty of fun for me.

Guys,
Thank you all for the comments. I myself have never had any problems in Cali or felt in danger at any point but I would say I'm pretty anal about taking all the precautions I can. I always have the hotel or someone I know call me a cab, leave the jewelery/nice watch off , and carry little cash and always go to the same ATM in the busy Parque Versailles area, in the daytime, where there is always an armed guard. I have heard the stories from those I know. Mostly of robberies when it comes to tourists. But I've heard even more stories from friends that have been to Rio, two I know personally that got mugged there. One needs to be safe and use common sense anywhere you go. Some locations call for this more than others and Cali is one where anyone should exercise more caution.
Concarne,
I talked to one guy before coming to Cali that wanted $650 or so for a 1 bedroom apartment for the month. I got his contact info on here, there's a link in the Cali discuss section.
LM,
It is nice to see that some things still haven't changed. Are you going back to Cali anytime soon?
Kuk,
What's up man? When is your next trip? I was giving my friend who lives in Cali a hard time about being married. I don't know how he does it with all the available Punani and I know the wife and her family keeps a real close eye on him. I'm still seeing the girl in Cartago. It did get a bit tough at times on this trip trying to balance the time partying with the group I met at the hotel in Cali and time with her, but I managed. Thankfully she has a pretty laid back attitude, especially for a Colombiana otherwise it could get real tricky.

First time to COLOMBIA? AND going to Cali, bad idea, Do you speak perfect spanish, if not it seems like everybody tries to put their hand in your pocket for some stupid reason or another and the city can eat you up. AND is ASLO thee most dangerous still. I would either stay in a Mansion or VIP in Medellin or go to Cartegena.
