Introduction

A warm and friendly "hello" to the Club Hombre gang!

Just joined the club after three years-plus participation over at the Costa Rica Ticas board (I'm sure my handle will be familiar to those on CH who also hang out at CRT). However, over the past year, I started to sour on Costa Rica, and two trips to Rio over Thanksgiving and Xmas last year sealed the deal. With the desire to expand my horizons even further, thought I'd hang my hat here for a while.

The report to follow from my Xmas Rio trip was originally posted in slightly edited form on Costa Tica Ticas.com last month, and is written somewhat from a Costa Rica "frame of reference". That won't happen again…

Rio. Cidade maravilhosa. The big enchilada. Mongering paradise.

I've been sitting home here now for over a week (seems like a hell of a lot longer) thinking what I could possibly write to do justice to this place, and what I just experienced on my second trip there in as many months.

Suffice to say, Rio is magic. If the wild nightly party/celebration doesn't make Help Discoteca my favorite place on the planet, then it has to be the termas Centaurus boite, where you only interrupt your makeout session with one awesome hottie to check out the next jaw-dropping one that just walked through the door. Or possibly dining on Chateubriand while sipping tanqueray & tonics and checking out all the hot GDPs (garotas de programa) lounging around the perimeter at Terraco Atlantico (TA for short - the outdoor restaurant ouside of Help). Or sipping an ice cold Skol and taking in the incredible bunda, relaxing on a beach chair in the hot afternoon sun at Posto 9 in Ipanema. And eventually rousing yourself for a heavenly massage under the umbrellas from one of the beautiful and sweet masseuses beckoning you from your nirvana-like state of repose. And don't forget that mandatory delicious, reinvigorating acai to prep yourself for the termas...

That's the problem with Rio. Everything is SO good, so tantalizing, so "I can't believe I'm actually phucking here" fantastic, that there just isn't time in the day for it all. Days seem like mere hours, hours like minutes. There you are at 4pm lounging on Ipanema Beach thinking "we've got to get going to make that early bird special at 4x4!". But then you think - "leave here now, on this gorgeous sunny day with all this awesome bunda staring us in the face -are you crazy?" And then you find yourself in termas Centaurus at 11pm thinking "we've got to get outta here so we can get over to TA to wolf down that Chateaubriand and get into Help in time to reserve our table!" But then you think "are you insane - I've only done two sessions, and look at the talent on the floor right now!" And then it's 4am in Help - you're partying your ass off, dancing like a fool, your favorita for the evening kissing you passionately and grinding her ass into your loins, and you think "I hope I have enough left to phuck this girl as well as she demands to be phucked - but - we CAN'T leave now - this is too much goddam fun!"

And then you wake the next day around noon with your favorita snuggling next to you - go another round or two - and then do it all over again.

It's Rio. You have no choice.
