The selection for dinner was "Platillos Voladores". It had high reviews in the local rag.
A TOO MUCH shrimp soup with coconut milk. There must have been 20 jumbo shrimp in the cauldron.
A salmon tartare salad and a deluxe beef with soy & wasabi dressing. Plus a 1/2 bottle of "Caliterra" from Chile, and of course a water chaser. The bill was a respectable 91,784 pesos. The restaurant was full of "artsy" types - not my 1st preference. But the entire neighborhood was "a happenin' place". Definitely worth a return.
Drove by "Kaliente Club" but it looked dead from the outside; and I did not enter.
Saw 5 or 6 streetgirls downtown, some on Av. Sexta, some on 8th.
This "Club Escoses" was not hi-class but at least it had character. Got acquainted with about 3 other candidates including a Marcela who joined me for a drink , left, and returned too late. Most of the local "hombres" in the club, asked "las chicas" to dance, i.e. the salsa, which was enjoyable to watch. Even the house pigs were being asked to dance. It was a good time place; and recommended.
