FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 13TH, 2002
I had to be out of The Residence Garden by noon. That kind of sucked as I was use to the late checkout times of the Grand President. I packed up my stuff and called down to the front desk to have them get a taxi for me. I travel kind of heavy (something I need to learn not to do) so I didn't want to hassle with a bus or going into town to find myself a cab. Sure, cheaper rates could have been had that way but it didn't bug me that much.
The taxi back to Bangkok was an expensive 1500 baht, but oh well. It was waiting for me by the time I was packed up and checked out. I liked almost everything about The Residence Garden except its location. But for 1300 baht a night and the accommodations I received, I really don't have too much to complain about.
The trip back to Bangkok was uneventful for a while. Traffic started picking up as we got closer to town and I thought we might be stuck in it for hours. It just took a long time to get through the damn toll booth.

I wanted to try Omni Tower this time. I didn't have a reservation, but it being the middle of September I really didn't need one according to other Club Hombre posters. I emailed them several times before I left on the trip and they never wrote me back. That turned me off to the place big-time, but I still decided to check it out. When I arrived I asked for their biggest one bedroom suite. I was hoping for something similar to what is pictured here http://www.ehotelbooking.com/thailand/bangkok/omnitower/
Instead, I got exactly the same thing Dave got when he went to Thailand. http://www.sexwork.com/Thailand/omni.html
I said I would be saying until the 18th and they quoted me a price of 1800 baht a night. But one thing was kind of weird. The dude wanted me to pay two nights up front and then come back in two more days and pay for two more days. We went round and round for a while until I got the point across that they had my credit card run already and I would pay my bill in full when I checked out, not every two days. Weird..
When I got to the room I was disappointed with the size. It seemed a little narrow and cramped. The kitchenette was nice though, and it had a fridge and freezer and even a toaster, I think. In one of the nightstand drawers there was hair dryer. The room safe was not big enough to accommodate my laptop though, so I hid it under the sofa each day. And while I had not seen any roaches so far in any of the hotels I had stayed in, while I was taking my after-car-ride dump no less than four roaches paraded out of the floor drain in front of me. After settling in and unpacking, I noticed it was still quite warm in the living room. I went to feel the air coming out and could tell a difference in coolness from the air in the bedroom. Sure enough, very cool air was coming out of the bedroom vent and warm air was coming out of the living room vent. They ran on two separate thermostats.
This prompted a call to maintenance so I ordered a pizza while waiting for him to arrive. He took apart the ceiling in the kitchenette and worked for about 45 minutes. I was tempted to leave and let him work, but he didn't have a key to get back in and he often had to leave the room to do something someplace else or grab another tool. So I had to stay with him. After he proclaimed it was fixed, it seemed like cooler air was indeed coming out, but still not like the good air conditioning in the bedroom. It remained this way for the rest of the trip. Since I didn't spend too much time in the living room or in the hotel anyway, it was not that big a deal. But it was still annoying.
I showered and cleaned up and then decided to head out for the early evening. The taxi stand in front of Omni Tower doesn't seem to be as aggressive as the taxi mafia in front of the Grand President, but I still ignored them. I decided to give the motorcycle guys another chance. I insisted on a helmet this time and was given one. For 60 baht we were speeding along towards Poseidon in the Ratchadaphisek area.

Poseidon is not too hard to find but is probably the furthest north of all the Ratchadaphisek massage parlors. If will be on your left as you head north. The building is probably 10-12 stories high and it is across the way from the Grand Hotel. The front of the building has the God of the Sea and his trident protruding from it.
I went upstairs to the second floor and the fishbowl. Price is 2400 baht. The have a model lounge with supposed "playboy" models on the third floor. I checked it out last time, but not this time. Price there range from 3000 on up to about 5500 baht, if I recall correctly. If you are a farang add a 1000 baht WGS (white guy surcharge) to the price. I asked about the Russian girls this time around the papasan said they were all gone. I think the police put an end to it for some reason.

I can't remember the name of the girl I choose, but she was 23 years old. We started off in the bath. It must have been one of the longest, most thorough baths I have ever had. It was actually kind of funny. She turned on the TV and put it on HBO. Star Trek: The Motion Picture was playing and she settled on that. Being the nerd trekkie that I am, I actually started watching some of the movie while she bathed me.
After the bath we moved our activities to the bed and started off with some light kissing, but she had a hint of smoker's breath. That proceeded into some nice BBBJ action followed by some short on top action, missionary action and then finally doggie action. I must shamefully admit to two things during the doggie action. I spent a good amount of time watching us in the mirror. And when I wasn't doing that, I was glancing back at the television watching Star Trek!
After Poseidon I decided to head over to Soi 33 and check out the action there. I went to three bars, Bacchus, Monet and Goya.
I walked into Bacchus pouring down sweat from the walk from the SkyTrain station. I sat at the bar and ordered a Carlsberg and was given a towel to wipe myself down with. Two ladies came up and started talking with me. They also had a buffet and said I could help myself. I had about two beers to cool down and enjoyed the conversation, but didn't see any girls I was interested in. They were friendly enough though, and nice to chat with.
Then I headed over to Monet. This was place was hopping! About 30 girls all dressed in pink evening dresses were packed in like sardines behind the bar. There were some really good looking women here. Again I was greeted with a towel and I ordered a beer. I hung out here for a while as three girls in short shorts and tight tops started dancing on small, square, and 1 foot high platform stages by the door. The dances were a routine and it was dance sexy to watch.
I continue viewing the show for a while and one of the girls behind the bar continued to chat me up whenever I wasn't. I liked this place the best, as they had the best atmosphere and the best selection of girls. The dancing was nice to watch as well. But I still decided to move on.
I checked out Goya next. This place was completely dead. Ordered a drink, sat and chatted for a while and then took off.
That is about the extent of my experience at the artist bars. I wasn't completely familiar with the setup and had read conflicting stories about the girls. Supposedly some will fuck you and others won't. It's a crap shoot, but not a guarantee like the other nightlife areas. I didn't want to waste time with a girl that wouldn't fuck me at the end of the night and I really didn't want to start going around asking each one I spoke with, so I decided to look, but not partake.
I took the SkyTrain back to Nana Plaza and ended up back at Playskool. Nothing really there so I decided to check out Rainbow I. This place was packed full of girls. The stage was packed with them and so was the floor around the stage. This place had a ton of girls!
I was sitting at the stage, but at the very end towards the back. I noticed a girl in the far corner and she was not dancing yet. So I called her over and chatted with her while we had some drinks. Her name was Dow, age 24 one kid. She had been in Bangkok for about four months. Her previously job? Karaoke singer. She was friendly and nice so I decided to bar fine her.

When we got back to Omni Tower we had some more drinks and continued to talk for a while. Then it was time for the showers. When I came out we started off on the bed with some light kissing. This slowly turned into a short, but nice BBBJ. She didn't like the condom I was using for some reason so she hopped up to go get her own. When she came back it was time for some more BBBJ action to get the soldier standing at attention again.
She hopped on for a short ride and of course that was followed by missionary and a finish in doggie. Call me bland but I always find the girls are tightest in doggie and that was especially true with this girl, even though she had one kid.
I went ahead and paid her 1500 baht for short time and then kicked her out.

I just got back from Bangkok/Pattaya on Sunday, Nov 10th and stayed at the Omni Tower and thought it was a great value. I can tell by your photo that even though you requested the largest one bedroom suite, you did not get it. Mine was huge by comparison. It was room 3402. Maybe asking for a suite like 3402 will let them know that we know the difference between a large suite and the largest suite they have. I'll be putting all this ifo in my report, including great info on suits and a 2 bedroom HOUSE with aircon on Walking Street in Pattaya for 1200 baht a night.
