Prior to leaving Medellin Robert from the Mansion gives me the contact of a guy in Cali who would should me around and by my guide. So I call him up and make arrangements for him to meet me at my hotel my first night in Cali. His name is Andres and he asked that I not publish is phone number as he works through Robert and likes Robert to give out his cell phone. He's a good guy and very knowledgeable about Cali. He speaks perfect English and well keep you out of trouble while you're in Cali. He has a regular job by day so he's only available in the evenings. He charged 20K per hour but he doesn't have a car so you walk and take taxis.

Flew Avianca Air from Mde to Cali for $130 US one way. We were half way there when, unbeknownst to me the plane developed a problem and had to turn back to Mde. They announced it in Spanish but I didn't have a clue what they were saying. I never even felt the plane turn around. As we started to land I thought wow we made it to Cali in half the time. I'm looking out the window thinking gee I thought Cali was more brown looking but it looks just as lush and green as Medellin. So as I got off the plane the same agent that was there for our boarding was there at the gate. I thought hey they must fly with the plane to it's destination. (You'd think I was new to this traveling but I've actually got 20 countries under my belt). So she points me to a room where all of the passengers are being directed. I tell her no I need to go get my luggage and leave. She smiles and points to this window incased room. I said to her Cali? She says Si. I say luggage. She points to this room. I repeat myself and say Cali? She says Si and points to the room. By this time I've got a real confused look on my face and I point around and say are we in Cali? She says no Medellin. By this time she can see the total confusion on my English only speaking face. She calls over another employee who proceeds to explain that the aircraft had a fire in the engine light come on and they turned around and came back. They were going to try and fix the problem. The problem turned out to be a faulty light which they didn't have a replacement for so they were going to have to get another plane. They said it would take 2 hours…….yeah right….in the meantime they brought in food and drinks for everyone and in two hours they had another plan there and we boarded and flew on to Cali. I thought they were very professional, and I would certainly fly them again.

Now I was going to be in Cali for four days, and since I was going to be on my own I laid a little ground work so that I wouldn't have to be entirely on my own. About a month prior to leaving on this trip I made contact with a dating agency called Cali VIP. I sent them a list of about 6 women from their website who I wanted to meet. I think I paid about $100 US to have them make arrangements. They connected with four women who were willing to meet me. I arranged for their driver Nelson to pick me up from the airport and take me back to the airport. Nelson speaks English well. My intention is to hopefully make a new friend who will be my guide by day while Andres can be my monger guide by night.

I stayed at the Hotel Cali Plaza which is right off of Avenue Sexta on calle 15 in the main section of Cali. It's a nice apartment-hotel which is very girl friendly. Another nice feature is that they provide you with a cell phone free of charge. You just by your minute card and you're good to go. They also have an English speaking cab driver who works with the hotel. His name is George and he charges 20K per hour. I used him one day to take my non-pro friend up to Tres Cruses and he suggested another fun place to visit.





There are two downsides to this hotel. First you'll want to get a room in the back as the hotel is across the street from a nice but noisy outdoor café-nightclub (I believe the club is called Viejo Barnil) second there seemed to only be enough hot water for one shower in the morning. Cali appeared more dirty than Medellin. There were fewer women walking the streets as opposed to Medellin, they didn't dress as sexy as they do in Medellin, but the women were friendly, outgoing and I had a great time there.


After checking in to my hotel I walked down Ave Sexta to Cali VIP. I've got three girls I'm supposed to meet that afternoon. I didn't care much for the first Calena I meet. I came back 30 minutes later and meet the second girl. Her name was Maria and she was small and cute. She's 33 years old with a 3 year old daughter.. Her English was fairly good and she asked if I wanted to get out of there and go for a walk. Long story short we spent the next four days together. It was perfect. I had a cute non-pro Calena acting as my tour guide during the day. Yes we did visit the Cali Zoo, and yes I would recommend it as a nice place to visit with the Calena of your choice. She would then go home in the early evening to be with her daughter which gave me the evening and night hours to do my mongering thing. Maria and I got along really well and even kept up our communication for awhile once I got home. We did make out once in a while, held hands during the day but I never pushed to get her in bed. I didn't want to lead her on as I had no desire to start anything long term, and I wasn't going to use her for sex. After all there were other women in Cali for that.




Okay now down to the main events in Cali. I did visit only casa's while there. Same set up as in Medellin with the girls coming out and introducing themselves to you. The big difference I noticed was that you could invite the girl or a couple of them to set with you order drinks and get to know them a little bit before you made a selection. Went to about four of them and for the most part didn't really like the selection. I went a couple of times to a casa that had a pool and you could sit at tables around the pool (I can't remember it name some of you Cali experts would know the place I'm talking about). This place did have the best take out deal. You paid a flat rate and you could take the girl out for the entire evening/night. Unfortunately I didn't find any of the women there to my liking.

I visited a casa called Club Kaliente. After meeting about 10 girls I ended up sessioning a 24 year old girl named Natalia. She told me she had been there a week and was from the Medellin area. She was very friendly and a lot of fun in bed. She did tell me that the veteran girls at the club were telling her to not let guys take photos of her and don't let them eat your pussy. She let me do both but what the fuck is that all about? As much as I like Colombia, Brazil does really spoil a guy! The cost there is100K per hour. Natalia had a very note worthy talent. She was agreeable to BBBJ (extra 20K) and this Medellin transplant could deep throat it and then use her tongue to lick your balls with her mouth full of your manhood. Now I hadn't experienced that in a few years, and I made the critical decision while lying there that at the end she could finish me off that way. When we were done I got her cell number and went on my merry way.

You don't speak Spanish and you went to Cali alone? I have lived in Colombia for 5 years and speak Spanish. I have been in Cali once with my Paisa novia for 4 days in 2005. She had been to Cali many times before and has friends there. She was quite concerned for our safety. And Cali has gotten worse since then.

I have no plans to return to Cali any time soon.

Unfortunately any kind of cell phone and MP3 players seem to be the big target these days. My girls nephew got robbed at gun point for his MP3 AND also they are targeting the "Rich" areas (el penon, ganada) because they know thats where the money is as well as gringos. p.s. TBIRD, what did Claude get you for at the C.P.? $100-$125 a night?

Yes TomTom I did feel a little more uneasy while in Cali but then again I was always with my female friend by day and Andres in the evenings. I basically was never alone while in Cali. I don't think I'd go back but I'm glad I went, and I get a kick out of watching peoples faces when I mention that I've been to Cali.

Sobe, I paid $95 per night and never did see or meet Claude.

I would never take a cell phone or mp3 player anywhere near Cali. They have a jillion "celular por minuto" people on street corners all over the city. Just hand them a slip of paper with the number you want to call, they dial, hand you the phone y listo ya. Fuggitaboutit...

My girl in Cali has had 2 cell phones stolen from her by taxi drivers in a year and one on a bus around Christmas time. She will only travel by bus when she can't afford a taxi. The buses seem to be especialy dangerous. She tells me Cali is even more dangerous during the Christmas season. I guess its because people get more desperate at Christmas. Be careful!
