At the Don Chan Palace hotel disco, I’d gotten a cutie’s phone number, with the intention of inviting her over for an afternoon romp. When I dialed the digits, her friend answered. Jun didn’t have a phone, so she actually gave me her friend’s number. Jun wasn’t with her and she wasn’t available before 8 PM. Too late!

Mekong Hotel

With a great selection late on a busy Saturday night, I figured the line-up would be awesome if I got there earlier. In fact, I was a little too early. They only open at 8.30 PM.

Dta-wun told me she probably wouldn’t be working tonight. But when I peeked through the fishbowl door as another customer walked in, I spotted her goldilocks. On the one hand, Dta-wun had been amazing. On the other hand, I’d only fucked 2 girls in Vientiane and wanted to add to that tally. Not to make her loose face, I decided to wait until Dta-wun got picked.

I observed the scene as punters walked in and out of the fishbowl. Some guys needed glasses. Others walked out with a stunning babe on their arm. Around 10 PM, Dta-wun finally got picked by an elderly Japanese fellow. Time to make my move!

The line-up had already been robbed of many a beauty, but even the depleted selection was pretty impressive. Like yesterday, I took my time before picking a queen for the night. As I was pondering my options, Dta-wun walked in to pick up her purse. Ouch!

Yui

The apple of my eye was an 18 yo cutie with an enchanting smile. Yui liked falangs and was kissing me straight away. Since we got on like a house on fire, I figured she’d be good to go. But when I asked Yui to accompany me at closing time, she couldn’t...

Her younger sister also worked at the Mekong Nightclub. She’d been sitting with a local who’d spent a small fortune getting himself and his girl drunk as a skunk. I sat at his table as he pleaded for her to go with him. To no avail... she had her period.

My girl had to accompany her sister home. Yui was willing to go ST, but we had to take a tuk-tuk to my hotel, where her sister would wait for us to finish the deed. They’d take a tuk-tuk back to the Mekong hotel, from where they could drive home on their motorbike. Does this sound complicated? I figured Yui would be in a hurry with her sister waiting. I really wanted a LT girl. I decided to pass.

Yui gave me her phone number and urged me to call her the next day. She didn’t know I was leaving town the next morning!

Novotel Hotel

The nightclubs close at midnight, but the late night discos were supposed to be open until 2 AM. When I approached the Novotel Hotel, I spotted police officers across the street. As I turned into the alley, it looked deserted. Both the HighWayMan Karaoke & Disco and Future Music were closed at half past midnight.

Wind West

During the long and lonely walk home, I suddenly heard music. Wind West was still open for business! I spotted some foreigners as I peeked inside. But the door was bolted shut!

Samlo Pub

The Samlo Pub was still open after 1 AM. I figured I would have a final Beerlao, but they were sold out of beer! Only whisky and a few ugly girls were on offer. No, thanks!

Epilogue

I should have forgotten about my stats. Spending another night with superstar performer Dta-wun sleeping in my arms could have been magic. Waiting until closing time before asking Yui to accompany me was another dumb move. Everything else was just rotten luck. There are days like that!

Loso

Loso, you are a true monger. We always think we can do better no matter how great the girl we are with is. I also like the way that you take the girls feelings into consideration, its the sign of of true gentleman. Thanks for the great report and pictures.

Things HAVE changed:
Future and Novotel used to be open a bit later.
If you speak thai, get one of the locals to tell you where the late night places are. Some juke joints stay open after hours, the ones who have greased the right palms. They're not immediately obvious to foreigners, and the scene changes (the guesthouse/brothel scene changes too, you gotta ask a local or a local expat who's in the know).
Or you could just follow the girls on their motorbikes to the next hangout when Future closes down! (I pulled this trick once)
Personally, I found very few girls (if any) at Future who are not hard core pros, or retired from the Pattaya scene. Both there and Novotel (and the late night discos) the music is deafening.
Try out Kop Chai Deu bar, for a look at some hotties. Some of these girls on the circuit who are better looking with language skills are sort of professional long-term mistreses of expats who work at the embassies or engineering and construction companies sucking the natural resources out of upcountry Lao PDR. There are some real beauties, but they take some work---Vieng Chan is not a point and click scene, at least if you want really cute passionate girls. Sounds like you lucked out at The Mekong Hotel--I dont remember them having a fishbowl!
