I have stayed in three different parts of town: Palermo, Recoleta, and an area frequently referred to as Microcenter. Since I have had to pay for these hotel myself, I tend to stay in low cost places. As long as they are clean, no roaches, and the chicas can visit, I am set. Besides with a lower cost, you can spend more on chicas.

In Palermo, I have stayed several times in a hotel called “Como En Casa”. This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay, and only costs about $18 for day for a single room, but the drawback is that it is not chica friendly. However, if you want to get out of the downtown New York feeling, this place has the best feeling an experience of an old BA neighborhood that I have experienced in BA. You can find them at www.comoencasa.com. The first time I stayed here I found it on Travelocity. This place has Old Spanish architecture, lots of nice rooms to visit, and is a very comfortable out of the way place to visit. The other drawback here is that it does not have telephones in the rooms, or a 24-hour desk. The desk is only from 9 am to 9 pm, and will take messages for you.

Best Western Comfort Inn at Parana & Viamonte

This is just an ordinary hotel, and is not particularly chica friendly. They do not have free Internet, and the rooms are small. I only stayed here on one trip.

Hotel Wilton on Challo ½ Block from Santa Fe

I found this to be a great hotel. The rooms are big, it is a block from all mongers favorite eating place, Rodizio, and I did not have any problems with chica’s coming in. There is also free Internet service here, and a free breakfast in the morning.

Best Western Art Deco

I have to say that I was confused when I first made this reservation. This hotel is at Libertad 446. I did not get the location correct when I first made the reservation because I thought that it was on Libertador. So I would have to say that the place is clean, and certainly cheap at $41 / day. You always need to pay for two people in a room when you are going to be having chica’s coming in and out. This place also has a free breakfast. While I did not have any problems getting the chica’s into my room, I did get some funny looks. I think that funny looks happened when I actually had three women in the room. Of course they were there at different times. While they never stopped a girl from coming up, I sort of got the feeling from the voices on the telephone that they did not approve. Nothing was said directly, but they just stared a lot. Either these guys were jealous, or just surprised that this old fart could actually do 3 chica's in one day.

Art Deco Best Western on Libertad (steps away from the Obelisk) is where I stayed on my first ever night in Buenos Aires (back in August). It's a nice, professional place in a very good location. A tear comes to my eye when I remember I saw my first "bidet" there.

That Sunday evening, just around the corner from the hotel on diagonal, I saw some steps leading down to a basement "video bar"...

I, being a Johnny come lately, decided to check it out, went down, and asked the guy at the bar what the deal was. He says we have two theaters, one porn, one gay...

They also had quarts of Quilmes for three pesos so I decided to have one. As I sat drinking men would come and go to the theatre, then the bathroom. I hadn't seen places like this since the Montrose neighborhood in Houston so many years ago.

Just shows to go you, there's something for everyone in the big BA...

BTW, the Tucuman Palace Hotel, about a block and a half east (towards Puerto Madero) of the Claridge Hotel on Tucuman is a good budget option. No frills, but clean, safe, and well-located for $15 USD per night.

It might be a good option for someone to spend their first day in town there while looking for other places...

I have an opposite situation - I've never been to EZE on my own pence - OTH, over the years; a couple of chicas [read my old reports on getting chicas to LON ] have suggested that I shack next time with them in their flats....

If you think you'll be a FF to EZE, begin to invest on a semi or a non pro freelancer.
