I had originally planned on a 5 day trip to Angeles City, Philippines to meet up with AndrewNY, Exciter and Ghowwerd. The outrageous cost of airfare from BKK to MNL changed all that. Instead, I went solo to Phnom Penh.
This was my 11th trip to Phnom Penh in the past 4 years. I noticed very little change during the first 3 years. But much has changed over the past year. For starters, prices are up. For years, prices in PP stayed the same: $10 for short time and $20 for long time. Not anymore. The girls are now asking $20 s/t and $40 l/t. I was unable to negotiate a short time price below $20 with a girl that I actually wanted to fuck. Of course, there will always be bow-wows available for less and some girls in some hostess bars (Shanghai) are asking $30 s/t and $60 l/t. Long time prices were much easier to negotiate. I paid $30 once and $25 each of the other 4 nights.
While some may bemoan the fact that prices are up, the most positive change is that quality and quantity are better than ever. You won’t notice this unless you visit the hostess bars on 104 Street. Two years ago, 104 Street had only 5 hostess bars, each with 8-12 girls. That was a pool of about 50 girls to choose from. Now there are 12 hostess bars just on 104 Street. And each of those bars now has 15-30 girls. More importantly, IMO, the quality of the girls is dramatically better. It’s also worth noting, there is one bar with all Filipina girls on 104 Street.
Speaking of hostess bars, they all serve lady drinks now. This wasn’t the case a year ago. Lady drinks are $3 each, the girls get $1. While the girls will eventually ask for a lady drink, there is very little pressure.
Another change is the number of Viet working girls is way down. For years, the Viet girls were prominent at Sharky and Martini Bar. I only saw 5 different Viet girls at Sharky in 5 days. Martini used to have around 40 Viet girls, working with 2 mamasans. Now there is one mamasan with maybe 10-12 girls. I don’t know where they’ve gone or why.
BTW, the road in front of Martini is finally paved!
I stayed at Flamingos Hotel again. Flamingos is a great value but more importantly for me, the location can’t be beat. I can stumble home at 5am from Heart of Darkness disco or I can wake up and walk over to Walkabout to view the selection of freelancers.
My first night in town, I stumbled home from Heart with Mai. She was a real sweetie and provided great GFE. During the day, Mai is a card dealer at one of the casinos in town.

For personal reasons I will give the next girl the fictitious name of Lin and I won’t reveal any information about where or how I found her. The photos are limited to those with no identifying background.
When I first saw Lin, she was smiling at me and we couldn’t keep our eyes off each other. It’s rare, but every once in awhile everything seems to just click with a girl. That’s what happened with Lin. Over the next four days we could hardly keep our hands off each other. Lin is passionate, playful, enthusiastic and affectionate. I’ve been with hundreds of Asian girls and Lin is in the top 5 all time. She made this trip to PP memorable.

The incorrigible butterfly that I am, I managed to squeeze in a few other girls when I was able to tear myself away from Lin. This is a Viet girl, Lang, who I’ve been with several other times on previous trips. Lang gives a bbbj that is off the charts. She has never allowed me to take a photo before and begrudgingly let me snap this one.

My final night in town I was barhopping (again) on 104 Street. I finally made it into Rose Bar and was greeted by the familiar chorus of “welcome” and then a shriek as this girl came running from the back of the bar. It was my old friend, Ala.
This is an excerpt from a report I posted on another board nearly 2 years ago:
From Flyngo’s Weekend in Phnom Penh (Nov 16, 2006)
The night was still young; it was only around 11pm, so I decided to go over to 104 Street since I was in the north part of town. First I stopped in One Zero Four to see Ala. I first met Ala last month and thought she was really cute. She also seemed a bit aloof. Attitude and aloofness has become increasingly common among bargirls in Thailand but it’s rare in Cambodia. When I caught Ala looking my way, I gave her the finger, thinking I’d send her a message. Instead, she laughed and gave me the finger right back and came over and sat on my lap. I was dead wrong about Ala, no attitude here. Instead, she had a really fun and playful attitude. I challenged her to a shot of tequila. Thai bargirls jump at the offer of a drink because it makes them money. Khmer girls on the other hand rarely drink alcoholic beverages and make no money on ladies drinks so it took awhile to coax Ala into drinking the tequila. She finally did and another and another soon followed. She’s been nicknamed “Tequi-Ala” ever since. When I showed up at One Zero Four, Ala greeted me with a nice hug and was soon on my lap again. It was a nice reunion and of course, we had several more rounds of tequila. Ala was eager for me to barfine her and she looked really cute but I just wasn’t feeling horny yet and I wanted to get over to Zanzibar to see my buddies.
It turns out Ala had stopped working and gone home to her province. She only recently returned to working in Phnom Penh. I suddenly found myself with a situation. I’ve had this unrequited attraction to Ala for 2 years. It’s my last night in town and I want to be with her. But I’ve already made plans to see Lin in less than an hour. I go to the “water closet” and call Lin, breaking the news that I can’t see her. She knows it’s another girl and I don’t even try to lie. She tells me it’s ok to see another girl for short time and she’ll come see me later for long time. I tell her no, I want to stay with this girl long time. Lin is devastated and crying. She “loves me” and wants to be with me on my last night. I tell her no, I cannot see you tonight. I spent the night with Ala and as much as I like her, my thoughts were with Lin.

Ala was gone by 11am and I called Lin. She agreed to come over. We had a passionate session for 2 hours and she never said a word about the choice I’d made the night before. She simply said she loved me and hoped she’d see me again. She was sobbing as my van pulled away.
Khmer chicks rock!

Nice report it brings back memories of my one and only visit to Phnom Penh, I have been to S R a few times. I stayed at Flamingos Hotel and I found it a bit basic for my needs, I was also on a higher floor and the lift wasn't working.
After reading your report another trip PP might be on the cards.

Great report, Flyngo! I'm sorry to see that inflation has hit Cambodia. It seems odd that ST with a Filipina would cost more in Cambodia that the PR, but globalization is a bizarre thing. OTOH, I'm glad to hear that both quantity and quality is up.
Now, when will we see your Colombia report?

There`s bars, restaurants and Guest houses opening all the time in PP now. The reason why there`s not so many Vietnamese woman in PP,is because in order to stop people trafficking, the Cambodian government got very stricked on who they let in.

I really love the look of the Khmer girls and I'm glad the Viet cunts boomeranged back to Vietnam. Viet economy is booming so probably the pool of girls is shrinking and Cambodia probably a bit stricter with immigration.
Cambodia has become an economic colony of China. I think this is the reason you will see more high end karaoke bars and hostess bars to accomodate the Chinese that live there and/or do busines there. All kids in Cambodia that make it to high school are now required to learn Mandarin.
Great job on the update.
I really need to get back there...been way too long.

Flyngo! thanks for the report. PP looks like a good place to explore and the girls you have there seem very wonderful and beautiful. even if the prices are a bit up in PP, after drinks and tips it would seem about comparable to AC or Pattaya. again, a good place to explore! thank you!

thanks for the report. i'll be in pp in a few days and needed current pricing guidance.
blazers,
i'll be posting an update to my danang, vietnam report soon. don't want to hijack this thread with a vietnam discussion but i think their economy hit the wall earlier this year. i'll provide some "thoughts" for discussion in my report. interesting stuff. after i visited the country last year in sept i looked for ways to invest in the viet stock market but it wasn't easy so it didn't happen. thank god. the market tanked big time.

Bwana_dik...Medellin is rapidly fading in the rear view mirror. But I have some notes and might still be able to salvage a trip report.

Yep! I met Dtaa and Rosa in 2005. Both are still around. That's the main problem in PP - not enough fresh meat.

All, on my last trip to PP (Nov 08) I found that ALOT had changed... gone was every sidestreet being dirty and trash-strewn.. replaced with Cambo6 gaming centers.. new semi-highrise buildings on the make.. signs showing new commercial and residential developments coming... I guess Cambodia is starting to modernize.. Prices for most things have moved up.. Most girls I ran into at Martini's wanted $40 and some even started at $50 for ST... Didn't take either girl, so I don't know how negotiable they would be.. but the point is that the days of cheap, cheap mongering is gone (IMHO) from the mainstream Phnom Penh scene.. I am sure that it can be found only a few blocks off the main street, but the point is that it's not as "in your face" as it once was..
One interesting fact.. When I arrived (I fly TG) the immigration officers gave each male traveller a toursit booklet.. on the back it had a UN-sponsored advertisement that said "Having sex with children is a crime" clearly written.. Was this a message for all the single guys?? who knows.. I just found it... interesting...
