Costa Rica Update-October, 2000

I was sorry to see the Redsnake board close but Im glad we have another site. The weather has improved over the past couple of weeks, less rain and even a few cool nights and mornings. It's still the off-season here so things have continued to be a little slow, but there's still plenty of action. The Friday/Saturday night shows at the Park Hotel are as outrageous as ever and there's still an abundant supply of gorgeous, albeit overpriced, hookers working out of the Blue Marlin at the Hotel Del Rey. Key Largo still sucks, 747, Idem, etc., are still going strong.

As other posters have mentioned, the best action this time of year is probably at the Tico clubs, massage parlors, and brothels. Also, the prices are usually much cheaper there. For my money (and my taste in women), the best place over the past couple of months has been VIPS #2, Molino Rojo (pronounced BEEPS NU-mer-oh DOHS, Moe-LEE-noh ROH-ho). It's in the downtown area, but not a very safe street at night, so a taxi is definitely recommended. Cab fares from anyplace in the downtown area shouldn't be more than 300 to 500 colones, ($1 to $1.50). When you leave the club, most of the taxis who stand there are pirate cabs but I've never had a problem with them. One of the pirate cab drivers I can recommend usually wears a denim jacket and a reversed baseball cap. I don't remember his name but he's dependable and speaks some English. He likes the girls so sometimes you'll find him hanging out at a table inside, but he'll always leave if he's got a fare.

The club itself is fairly nice and reasonably clean for a Tico club. It's large, has 20 or thirty tables, plus a stand-up bar, and has a dance stage with pole and mirrors, just like a strip club in the States. Unlike Stateside clubs, though, it has small, private bedrooms in back and if you see a girl you like you can take her in back and fuck her for 4,500 colones (about $14). I think they open around 6pm, but the action doesn't get going until about 9pm, perhaps a little earlier on the weekends. On a good night there will be 30 to fifty girls working, mostly in their early to mid-20's, with enough variety to suit anyone's taste. Not a lot of Gringos go there but there are usually a few on the weekends. The place is safe and friendly, although not much English is spoken.

On weeknights, you pay 500 colones at the door and receive a ticket for one free beer. On weekends, it's 1,000 colones and you get two beer tickets. So it's really not a cover but a minimum. Extra beers are 500 colones as well, and if you decide to buy a drink for a girl most of them drink beer, at the same price. Some of the girls will ask for expensive mixed drinks, but I always refuse.

A lot of the girls work part-time, 2 or 3 nights a week only, and are available privately on their days off. If you want to take a girl out of the club on a night she's working, she has to pay a bar fine of 5,000 colones, so keep this in mind if you're negotiating and be sure the agreed price includes the bar fine. Most of the girls are willing to leave the club and go to your hotel. This is the most profitable part of their business, and most of them prefer Gringos anyway. Unless you're only looking for a cheap quickie, I recommend that you consider taking the girl back to your hotel. Of course, there's no reason you can't take a cheap test ride in the back room first, unless you are a once-a-night type of guy. Some, but not all of the girls, will do doubles and some of the ones that do aren't really into it and may not give you your money's worth.

Take-out prices will vary from girl to girl and night to night. I usually pay 15,000 colones, including bar fine, for a short time (an hour or two) in a downtown hotel and an additional 5,000 colones for longer sessions, sometimes todo la noche (all night). Since the club stays open until 4am, many of the girls won't leave for all-night or long sessions before midnight unless you pay top price, perhaps 20,000 to 30,000 colones, which is still a bargain compared to the Del Ray where you'll pay that much for an hour. On their days off (and perhaps late afternoon and early evening, before they go to work), some of the girls may work cheaper and stay longer particularly if you treat them nicely, take them to dinner, etc. Unfortunately, you really need to be able to speak a little Spanish to make these kinds of arrangements.

I've had a few minor disappointments with some of the girls there, but never been ripped off or had a really bad experience, and some of the girls there are terrific - nice looking, sweet personalities, and great in bed. There's a constant turnover of girls there, but a couple of my current favorites (October 2000) include the following: PLEASE NOTE, YMMV!!!

Elizabet - Fairly tall, slender Nica. Pretty face. Nice firm, athletic body. Fairly small but shapely breasts. Early-20's. She has a nice personality and is great in bed - whatever you want, in any position you want, as many times as you want. Downside is that she drinks too much and may use other substances as well. I don't know for sure, but some nights she's completely lost in space. In my opinion, not takeout material, but one of the best on-premise girls. (I don't think she cares whether you use a condom or not, but I'd be careful. She seems very clean, showers before and after every session, and I really like her but she's just a little too crazy for me.) No English.

Ginger - Another, slim, hard-body type with very small breasts, but otherwise a terrific body and a pretty face. She's Tica, 20 years old, fairly new to the business, and very clean (as far as I can tell). She'll give BBBJ but doesn't really like the taste in her mouth and constantly spits out into a kleenex while she's doing it. She loves cunnilingus, which I really enjoy, and is orgasmic. She'll also fuck all night, non-stop, if you're up to the challenge but she has a baby at home and can't stay over-night without prior arrangement. Two or three hours are all I can take with her anyway. She definitely wears me out before I can wear her out. Top-drawer, take-out quality in my opinion. I hate to quote prices because they will vary from night to night, but last weekend she went back to my hotel at 11pm on a busy night and stayed about three hours. I paid 15,000 colones, including the bar fine. We had a great time, multiple orgasms for both of us, and I felt so guilty about the price she'd agreed to, I ended up giving her a 2,000 colone tip and paid her cab fare home afterwards. No English. (Hurry, she won't last long. She too pretty and too sweet. Someone will turn her into a private girlfriend before long.)

Rosario - I almost hate to talk about her because this one's really special and I'd like to keep her for myself, but I'm not ready to get into any more of a relationship with her than what is now - great sex and warm companionship for which I pay her generously. She's a light-skinned Dominicana, early 20's, nice personality, speaks enough English for most purposes but isn't fully fluent, is well-educated and intelligent. She's very pretty, with nice breasts and a softer, more curvaceous figure than Elizabet or Ginger, but not fat by any means. I can't tell you what she would be like with other guys because sparks flew between us the first time we met, and they still fly every time we're together. For me, she's a total girlfriend experience, and is one of the most tender, loving women I've ever been with.

Damn, it sounds like I ought to marry her! No chance of that. She's too young and has too much going for her to marry a Gringo just to solve her financial problems. She dropped out of med school in DR last term because she could afford to continue and came here with a couple of girlfriends to earn enough money to return to DR and finish her education. She's a big girl and made her decision for reasons she felt were important enough to justify it. So, at least for the time being, she's a working girl. She needs the business and I give her my absolute seal of approval. One comment, though - condom only, even for oral, so if you don't believe in safe sex find another girl! She's in a dangerous business and she tries to be careful. She doesn't have any diseases now and doesn't want any.
