Chang Ping and Chang An Notes

Here are some recent talking points from a recent stay in Chang Ping.

My new home hotel is the Kinglong. It’s 208 yuan a night and the room is close to a carbon copy of the Hui Hua hotel rooms. Internet is a little slower, hotel facilities are less, and the location is far worse than HH. The KL is about a 4 or 5 big city block walk to HH. However, not only is this 4* hotel room 120 Yuan a night cheaper, it also gives you a 50 Yuan a day credit on laundry. This is enough to get 4 or 5 pieces done a day. The laundry returns well pressed and packaged. This hotel also has a KTV and a sexy sauna (but no footie.) The KTV is supposedly stocked up with more fresh from the countryside girls (my one experience was very good) and the sauna is reputed to have excellent service and they are always giving out free room charge coupons. That makes you 90-120 sauna session only 300 Yuan!

Some prices actually go down in the mongering world. My first night in town I arrived after 1AM and headed over to the night market. Night market talent is highly variable day to day. That night it was excellent and all the mommies were offer 150 ST and only 250!!!! for LT. That is awfully competitive with AC especially with no LB, Local Drink of tip given. And the talent in AC isn’t in the same ball park

I have really drifted away from the BBS scene as I just can’t live with the highly inconsistent session quality (although BBS is a much cheaper way than KTV to procure girls.) However, I did do a couple of strolls of the Yalan to Swan Lake BBS. Hell we might as well call them the Swan Lake bbs because there are very few left around Yalan. Basically there is one big shop and one small shop behind the big restaurant. And there is the shop above the provision store, although Jo Jo and Angel are gone with their girls. Over by the Swan Lake Baby’s shop has change location and has a town of girls. There is a second new large shop over there also sporting close to 40 girls. Then there is the Place next to the Swan Lake that doubles as a 1-3-6 KTV (which is open for afternoon KTV sessions!) Tons of girls in this place and the mommy pressure is totally obnoxious and over the top. Overall I would say there has been a lot of BBS consolidation in the area and the are just a few shops but they have more girls. Talent level was extremely high, especially if you like tight body young spinners.

I spent most of my time hitting KTV’s in CP. Here is my ranking from best to worst.

1) Crown Prince---- They now have gone to a mass viewing of the girls from 6:30-7:30 in this large lounge. Holy Fucking shit, this is the most incredible visual shock I have ever had in my mongering hobby career. When I entered the room on a Weds. Evening you are at a balcony with steps leading about 15 feet down to this room. A conservative estimate is that there were 350-400 girls everywhere; some where standing in line-ups other groups stacked on sofas in seating areas. And the best part was the insane quality standard, Half the girls rated 7.5 to solid 9, and I could count using the fingers of one hand the number of girls I wouldn’t be happy to screw. Even at their peaks Jaiyi and Amazon were never even in the ball park of this place. Even more amazing was there wasn’t even 20 guys who wandered down to mingle with the girls. Of course I was one of them. Good news, is that the mommies were very chilled and didn’t hoist girls at you nonstop. Funny thing is I was paralyzed by the supply and couldn’t make a pick. I flirted and joked around with a lot of girls but never could decide. I had to make this a more manageable process and had the mommies bring in line-ups to the room.

We had a small room, and soon I picked a very busty gorgeous girl with pretty face and big eyes. She was an 8.75 for my tastes. Then a couple line-ups later the was a couple of ugly ducklings (I mean they only rated a 7, which one would rate as an 8.5 in Pattaya or AC) who I had a lot of fun joking with earlier. I decided to sit them to help get the party rocking. However, the tall dental floss one with the miniaturized round latina style booty was immediately all over me. For Prince she was extremely brazen with hard core DFK making out all night. Her friend was quite young and had amazing firm teen age TandA and was also DFK making out all night. The poor original hottie never had a chance. I ended up taking the dental floss one and kept her for two days, as she was a wild nympho fuck as well as a party animal. Unfortunately, she later proved to have the Pinay blow up your mobile phone gene. Yuck I hate that.

2) Virgin Hotel KTV – I love this place with great rooms and very good party girls in the lineup. My Chinese friends don’t like the line-up as it lacks in the taller leggy girls but has lots of shorter girl with big titties and sweet smiles. The line-up is great for guys with western eyes! However, the number of girls here is lesser at around 150 or so. While the see through pink baby dolls uniforms are still gown, they now have using translucent short baby dolls. Too bad the wear strap em down three hook bras and most girls avoid the g-strings. However, the girls here have great can do attitudes. I to a taller hard body girl and had a very good ST with her in the middle of the Party.

3) Fu Hao KTV; my favorite from last trip has slipped quite a bit with a loss of a lot of girls. I would say the girls numbers are down by 30% and the quality average is a little down too. Plus a lot of the girls were not wearing the fantastic short short white silk robe with bra and panties. Also a lot of the girls were not guarantee for the strip down (look for the one’s with gold badge rather than other color) In fact we were in a big group and I was the only one who made his girl disrobe. I think our group was more the source for lameness than the girls. However, this place is still a must do, and the KJ girls are smoooookin’ here.

4) Jaiyi still has the great mega line-up at 6:30 but the number of girls here is down too. This place tends to nickel and dime you on stuff in the room if you don’t have a good relationship. Luckily Wei Wei, a manager always takes great care of us. Biggest problem here is that you can get some really lame attitude girls if you are not careful in your selection. I did sit one girl with and Incredible firm D-cup rack that showed promise in her attitude but also a pinay pie tin mole on her face. Instead of her I opted for one who was more quiet and sweet. Quiet and sweet turned into absolute shit lay in the room.

5) Hui Hua, Dissapointing with a rather small number of girls. Girls were kind of bumps on the logs and I was glad I brought my Crown Prince girl.


I also went to Chang An for three nights. IMHO Chang An is the latest rising mongering hot spot in Asia.

This time I stayed at the Lang Qin Land Hotel for 238 Yuan a night for a smaller, but well appointed 3* room. However, the staff here is incredible nice and efficient. This place actually reaches the lofty customer service levels of the Central Park hotel of two or three years ago. The location seems quite convenient; lots of shopping, eating, and massage venues within walking distance. There is a small supermarket in the basement and the people there are extremely friendly and helpful. The internet seemed quite good as I watched NFL games streamed in HD tv and the quality was awesome.

Previously I stayed at the Berlin Holiday Hotel which is a 4* boutique hotel with awesome Japanese themed rooms. This place costs 368 and the rooms are superior, but here the internet is slower and the location is less convenient. However, the hotel restaurant is decent. You also get a good breakfast buffet for two here. Both hotels I would not hesitate to stay in. Please note you can always get taxis around here. During the day the will run the meter (and fares are quite cheap) but at night you will have to negotiate a 10 to 15 yuan fare for rides around the town center.

Chang An is home to my currently favorite mongering venue on the planet, the Ji An KTV. For western taste the line-up is spectacular. There are tons of sweet face spinners and smaller girls and lots of girls who also have spectacular breasts. Here we typically can bring bottles from Duty Free and make the room minimum on mixers and food. So this KTV ends up being cheaper than those in CP. It’s best to arrive here around 6:45-7PM, and they will start bring line-ups around 7:15PM. The rooms are decent here if you get on in the new wing. However, the lightening design makes it hard to get a good look at the faces of the girls in the line-up. Once you pick the girls, you have the little introductory phase with some toasting and singing. Then the drinking games begin and that seems to quickly turn from having to drink to having to strip. My last visit here I had my three girls naked before 8PM , perhaps a new record. I was on fire playing liar’s dice. Then around 10 when the party is really getting going the mommy will come in and dim the lights a little and put on techno music. At that point the girls all strip down to their panties and naked group dancing commences. Girls ‘ get quite wild and I ended up titty fucking half a dozen hotties, including the assistant mommie, on the dance floor and got lots of HJ and DFK from various girls too. Pretty much the girls will match the standard of wildness that you establish.

Afterwards, you pretty much hang out drinking, groping, making out and getting the Imperial Experience until it’s time to go back to hotel around 1 or 2 AM. I can’t say enough but how absolutely top notch the girls’ attitudes are here. It goes beyond GFE and I call it the Imperial Experience; everything GFE plus catering and spoiling in every way like an emperor. I have taken four different girls back from JA, one was a wild good fuck and the other three completely out of this world. So this place has it all, the awesome CP like line-ups, wild in room activities like AC of old, and fuck you through the mattress sex in Jakarta. I fucking love this place! Plus I have favorite here who is a 32 Kilo ultra spinner who completely rocks my world and incredibly sweet – I am afraid to actually introduce her to guys like Epi and Murasaki, ha ha.

Amongst my Chinese friends there favorite KTV is Dong Fang Lei Mi. There consensus is that the girls are more wild with complete due dancing and total nude hanging out afterwards with wild antics. Also, the claim the selection to their eyes is better here, which I think means more tall girls and lily white girls. I must say my visit here was extremely disappointing. The girls gave the IE but it was too smothering and too mechanical. Also the girls just didn’t exude the spontaneous more relaxed warm feelings that the JA girls gave. However, we had several things working against us. We showed up way too late (8PM) on a Saturday night, without a mommy who was giving us first shot at her girls, and it was close to national day and they were worried about raids and fines so behavior was muted. Given the strong rep this place enjoys will people whose opinion I really respect I will give this place another shot.

Also, CA seems to have a fantastic sauna and massage scene. Unlike CP, the foot massage girls are fucking hot stunners who dress smoking hot. Also, you generally get 80 minutes of good massage like CP and then 40 minutes of more sensual cock stroking fun. Also, the foot massage places seem to be integrated with more sexy sauna services. So after you are fluffed you can go to get a 2 hour full on Dongguan style sexy sauna. Also, there are more intermediate type of services; supposedly you and buddies can get a footie and then in the second hour the girls will strip, dance sexy and hj you all! You can also get oil massage with happy ending. Also others with massage-mutual shower and blow job, etc etc etc. There are some places that even have super suite rooms were you and your buddies can have an orgy.

One place I went to twice is Long Dao Hui, the English name is funny –Pacific Island happy feet wash… This place is cool as they twice a day have a fashion show cat walk, were all the girls in each massage type of class performs, and a couple of hot footie girls even go go dance! It’s a great way to see the line-up and make you pic.

I went to another place but lost the name card that had absolutely gorgeous footie massage girls. Unfortunatley, the second hour was tame as they were worried about the National day scrutiny.

I also was told that Jin Long Tao the sauna room has a line-up of girls that are anal queens. Level 5 has the Anal line up, but you must call the captain before u go in order to book the room at level 5.

Obviously I have just scratched the service of CA, and perhaps as I spend more time I will write up a more complete guide. Sorry, I was lazy and didn't take any picks, but I wasn't planning on writing a trip report. However, I decided to do a quick write up as I think CP-CA could currently be the best mongering spot in Asia. And with these venues it's definitely more the merrier.

Kinglong Hotel is a block past the New Century Hotel and then you turn left and head one more block. It's next to the popular restaurant famous for its roast chicken. I don't know if they have a website.

CA KTV's use the same 2-5-8 system as the CP ktv's. However, prince had all kinds of wacky pricing. There were 2-5-8 lineups, 3-6-9, 3-8-10, and 5-10-15 model line ups. Luckily for me my taste are quite different than the chinese guys and I almost always happily pick a girl who turns out to be 2-5-8.

Also, wrt CA. I didn't go to the BBS there but I was told the open later than those in CP and they are 150 for ST and 300 for LT after 10PM. However, in CA you pay the full amount up front to the mommy.

Hi Laguy, I think you would like CA better than you liked CP. In the CA ktv's my initial impression is that the service is consistently more "hands on" in the room and very eager to please back in the hotel. I definitely felt like I didn't have to "read the tea leaves so much" and I didn't really feel the need to use the free 15 minute interview window like I do in CP.

What does KJ stand for?

I'm not sure what context SALover is using, but KJ's are the room attendants in the KTV's. Each room is assigned one or two. They bring in the drinks and snacks, handle the stereo system, handle all the logistics, etc.

Some clarification.

Murasaki is correct. KJs are the KTV DJs who are assigned or picked for the room. So they handle pretty much everything to take care of the group for the night.

The KJ I am referring to is a girl I met in Fuhao KTV. Whenever we go to a KTV one of the guys goes around to hunt down the prettiest KJs for the night (usually 2 but sometimes 3 if the group is large). One particular night he brought in a real sweet and pretty KJ (according to my eyes) and I was smitten. I tried to get her to my hotel but she declined. I persisted and she finally ended up spending time with me. She is now kind of my regular as I see her at least once each trip. Chang An isn't Xi'an? Chang An is another town in Dongguan city. It's about 20-30 minutes from the Shenzhen international airport and about 30-45 minutes by car from Changping. Chang An is a bigger town that CP and more of a prosperous factory town, while CP is more of an entertainment mongering town.

As for Jakarta or China in November, why not do both? Your direct connections are Viva Macau (Jakarta-Macau), Garuda (Jakart- HK or Guangzhou), China Southern (Jakarta- Gaungzhou), or Cathay Pac (Jakarta - HK.) Contact me offline if you want to coordinate.

I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I have gotten some requests to try and explain how the KTV thing in CA and CP works. So I have attempted to do a write up that explains some of the nuts and bolts and my approaches. I appreciate any corrections or feebback on how to improve this--- Crazier you out there?

I think KTV’s are an incredibly fun group activity. You and your buddies can really have an excellent 6 hour party in quality surroundings with some awesome and beautiful girls. However, I don’t think the KTV is a great way to go if you are solo or your overriding priority is getting laid. The KTV’s experience is as much about having a great party and bonding with your friends as it is about playing with and taking girls back. If you are in a group, I have found that you should budget 400-650 RMB per male attendee not including what you will tip your hostesses.

Here is my version of the KTV M.O.

First you need to book your room. Either call some contact at the KTV, such as a manager, waitress or mommy; or ask someone at your hotel to call one of their contacts. If you are in Changping or other place that gets busy on the weekend you may have to book one or two days in advance at the popular KTV’s. You will have a variety of room sizes to choose from, some cozy enough for 8 to 10 people up to rooms you can sit 50 people or more. Your room will have a minimum consumption charge that isn’t unreasonable for a small room it could start at 600 RMB. Just note your room number and the person’s name who booked it for you at the KTV.

In CP or CA, I really recommend you show up a few minutes before they start running line-ups of girls into the rooms or before the line-up the girls in the flower street formation like Jaiyi. There are a lot of Kaisu fuckers out there and the hostess selection will get picked over fast. Before you pick your hostesses there is a matter of picking the KJ(s) for your room. These are usually young girls in cute uniforms who will provide all the drink service, manage your bill, keep everything bus, assist with the KTV machine, and etc..

When you enter a KTV and there is a big line-up of girls against each wall of the entrance hall who make some greeting in unison, These are the KJ’s. You are free to pick your KJ(s.) If you don’t then you will be assigned some. A KJ, in addition to performing her duties, will drink and party with you as well. Although her job is not to be as affectionate as the hostesses, many guys like to flirt and try to pick up the KJ. Often times a guy is successful but may have to invest a second visit. So if you are a guy who likes to roll into whore town and try to seduce the non-whores, KJ’s are a prime target (and sometimes they are smoking hot!)

At the end of the night you will tip each of your KJ’s 200 RMB. How many KJ’s should you book for your party? If you are a mellow group that isn’t too demanding I would go 1 KJ for four guys or less, 2 KJ’s for up to 10 guys, and 3 KJ’s for more than 10 guys. If you have more than 15 guys, get two rooms!

Ok you got some KJ’s, now you need to pick your poison for the night. Ask for a menu and it will have English names or pictures and the prices on it. You can go wiH beer, wine, or hard liquor. If you order beer, it will have an expensive price per bottle. You need to ask what are the current promotions, which is usually like buy 2 bottles get one free. If you order wine, be forewarned that it won’t be great and they will expect to mix it will something like sprite. There are usually a lot of drinking games to be played and copious amounts of beverages will be consumed. I am more of a hard liquor guy and will go either with whiskey or vodka. Once again establish what are the current promotions, in popular CP ktv’s it’s usually buy 2 bottles get one free. Usually the liquor is knock offs (counterfeit) so don’t expect too much in the quality. But it is better than the rot gut call drinks you get in Pattaya or AC. Once again they will expect to mix the liquor with a mixer like green tea for whiskey and soda for vodka. The girls are used to the whiskey and less so the vodka. I find that vodka leads to the girls getting drunk faster. I haven’t broke out tequila shooters yet, and probably that will have a bad outcome! Also, at this point establish promotions on the mixers, and also specify how many you want them to bring. Finally establish what things like the ubiquitous fruit plates will cost, and you can also ask what free food or drinks they will give. They probably won’t commit, but definitely they will make a show about giving your free drinks and food later. I also like to establish one guy as the “head” with instructions that the head guy has to sign-off on any billable orders. Keep girls and other from ordering that un-needed lobster tail or carton of smokes!

When they bring the liquor in, they will want to fix some pitchers of mixed drinks. I try to tell them only to mix a small amount and to fix more as needed. A common practice is mix up a whole bunch and say your bottle is empty, you want to order another. And it’s sucks when you leave at the end of the night and you have half a bottle of Chivas mixed but not drank. Also, if you want your drink neat or just over rocks, just let the KJ’s know and you will be golden. A couple of other things to watch for is KJ’s that grab half empty glasses and bus them away quickly, and watch out for the occasional alkie employee who comes in and wants to drink down half your liquor! A quick elaboration, over the course of your party the mommy of each of your booked girls will come by for a little hello and toast. Hell sometimes they will be an active member of the party if you all get along. Some of the mommies are extremely hot former hostesses and can be real blast. But she is gonna at least want to toast each guy in your party. Also, you will get visits from some manager types who try and give you face and do some networking for future customers. Usually these guys are very polite and have a quick drink and go, but I have gotten down at times and partied hard with these guys as well. You don’t have to put up with this if you don’t want. Just instruct the KJ’s that you don’t want any visitors to your room, or you can just be a boring lame party which no one wants to endure! Up to you and you are the boss, but I prefer not to be a snob to these folks and if you are gonna be a repeat customer probably its best to build a relationship.

Alright on to the girls! If all the girls are presented in a central line-up go there ASAP before even going to the room and grab the love(s) of your life. Generally you can walk the lines and flirt away and BS with the girls. You have a no obligation trial period, for 15 minutes from the time you pull the girl off the line you can send her back without having to pay her. Be careful as you will be tempted to walk the line many times and 15 minutes can go fast with the girl on your line. I am usually a greedy guy and will book two girls. Once you pick a girl you can instruct her to go to room to wait (my MO) or have her tag along while you search out more companions.

If you are in a place where they bring line-ups into your room, then pay very close attention as they bring in each line-up. You want to evaluate thoroughly but quickly as there will be multiple line-ups. Remember, the hottest girls are going to go first and fast. Here you also have a 15 minute rule as well. Often times I try to make eye contact and flirt with any girl I find attractive, and I try to pay close attention to her body language. As a foreigner, I know not all the girls are keen to sit with me and I use that as a first filter. If there is one I like with good body language and I find attractive, then I ask her to sit down with me. I immediately try to gauge her attitude by how much she snuggles up and makes body and eye contact. Also, as soon as I have mommy out of ear shot, I ask a Chinese speaking friend to discreetly ask if she is comfortable sitting and going home with me. If she is unsure or hesitant, I throw her back as there are going to be a ton more candidates. While I am a fan of sitting two girls, and make moderate use of the 15 minute rule, I try not to be interviewing too many candidates at once. Always have the girl sit next to you and try to establish and read the intimacy right away.

Before proceeding, what is the girl’s compensation? There is a 3 numbered system, which will read like 2-5-8. The first number refers to what you compensate a girl (in hundreds of RMB) who sits with and you don’t go have sexual relations with. The second number is if she sits and has an ST. The last number is for sitting and then going for an LT. So if you have two girls, often that will establish good competition. Other times it’s insurance as girls sometimes get way too drunk.

Well when you sit your girls, the first thing she will do is pour you and her a drink and you should toast. Then she will start to hand feed you fruits and snacks whiling fawning over you. Usually this is a chance to get to know each other, and I spend some time jointly looking at phrase books. As the evening progresses you can start to sing songs and play various drinking dice games. Don’t be shy and try to play and learn as you go along. At this point nature takes it course, and the party is what you make it. I find the girls adopt a mirroring strategy and will basically match whatever behavior you exhibit to a limit.

Now some KTV’s are wild and the girls will get naked. This has a bit of a structure. At some point the girl (or you) will suggest that you start playing your game for articles of clothing instead of drinks. You don’t have to get naked with the girls if you are shy, but the girls love it and it seems to inspire them. Plus as a westerner the girls are always keen to play with your dick to see if you get huge when hard, unfortunately I tend to fail to live up to the stereotype and disappoint (or is it relieve) the girls. But hell I get bunch of hand jobs from the hotties in the room, so I win.

Then at some point, usually around 10PM, the lights will go dim, the techno music starts playing, and it’s naked dancing time. Usually this is a lot of fun and you get to fondle and get fondled by lots of hot girls. Things don’t seem to progress much beyond this and the lights eventually come up and the girls get dressed again. But you can always strip them again by challenging them to a game. If you are not in a naked KTV, then the extent you get wild and sleazy depends upon you and the girls – some places are fairly tame and others more wild.

Also, all the girls will be dressed in a sexy costumes and eventually the girls will ask to change into their street clothes. If they sense you are a newbie the will ask this quite early. I think a good rule is that only when all the guys agree should a girl go change, because as soon as one changes all the others will ask to. Also, I will almost always say no to the first request of my girl, unless the night is winding down just to let her know I am not a pushover and am the boss. It seems to work and cuts down on the funny business they try.

Now the problem with the KTV’s starting so early is that you often don’t have time to eat before hand. You can order food from the KTV the OK but it is going to be expensive. An alternative, is once you have picked your girls, you can ask them to wait in the room and the guys can go out to eat elsewhere. I personally haven’t done it but have seen it frequently done. Also, you will get fruit trays and some snacks that you have to pay for. However, later in the night the mommy and house will buy you small trays of snacks such as fried chicken wings, pickled lotus root, and sometimes this insanely spice duck jerky.

At the end of the evening, or once you decide, you can let the girl you want to take back she is your pick. At that point you can have any other of your girls hang out and continue party or you can pay them their 200 RMB and send them off. Hell if I got a couple of good ones, I will often go do a ST with one during the party and then come back and take the other one home. (Or keep the ST for overnight if she rocked my world!) As things are winding down, you can ask for the bill and also ask the mommy or manager to get their van ready to take you home. Once the bill comes, check the total well and make sure you are happy. In my groups we like to use the simple rule; take the check total add 200 for each KJ and divide by the number of guys who partied for their share to be paid. Frankly, we don’t want the hassles with guys who say “hey I only drank a little, or I only took one girl who didn’t drink, blah blah blah.” Establish this understanding before hand or establish however you want to take care of the check. Nothing ruins a night more than a guy with short arms and deep pockets. Ok collect the money and tip the KJ’s. Your chosen sweetie (if you have one) will take great care of you and make sure you get home alright. Tip the driver of the courtesy vane 10-20 RMB, and a little more if someone gets sick in the vehicle. Hehehe

So overall, I find that, excluding my girls’ tips, my usual share is between 400-650 RMB depending upon how hard we partied and whether we ate at the KTV or not. For me I think it’s more than a fair deal for eats, drinks, and partying from 7PM until 1 or 2 AM. Others may not agree and it probably means KTV’s aren’t for them. Finally, I have found the KTV’s in CP and CA consider your objective is to have fun and be happy, and they really go out of their way to make sure that happens. Generally, the service and professional standard is outstanding and, despite some of my previous cautions, I have not encountered any scamming or underhanded behavior.

I'd add that I like to have 2 or more gals sit w/me to keep each other company and to see which one I'll eventually take home. Additionally, the 15 min "lay away" rule is important IMO -- a fun part of the night is seeing how quick-to-the draw some guys are on snagging a hottie. The mass lineups are huge but the hotties get picked over real quick.

If the gal was good, I've also gotten phone numbers to call the gals in the daytime. And if you really dig a girl, be sure to call the mamasan to reserve her ahead of time so she doesn't get taken.

Also, in China, the gals get real dolled up and sometimes with those wonder bras.

Sounds like you almost have to be sober to watch all the Red shenanigans. Is it really that bad or is this the extreme situations?

As for uninvited guests who come in to "pay respects" and empty your bottle or drinks in the process, I inform the KJ to tell all uninvited guests that we prefer our privacy and not to allow them in! It has worked well.

I am also prone to tell the KJ not to pre-mix more than necessary for the girls only and to serve the guys the dirnks the way they want it.

In fact, on recent occasions, I have told the KJ that I want the bottle of liquor right in front of me if she does not do it my way to my satisfaction.

The best thing I like is that the women drink what we drink or offer. With the exception of the mandatory "one drink" per girl in some places, you can avoid what happens in the Phils and Thailand sometimes. A "smart girl" drinking up your daily budget a pre-mix of nothing but coloured water at hefty bar prices.

Its always difficult cos its the way the KJs are trained - pour out the whole bottle, mix it up and get the drinks moving. Mind you, keep in mind that the guys who run/own the place are there to make money and that means moving the drinks.

Blazers, I suspected that most readers here are unfamiliar and weary of doing KTV's. So I tried to write up what are some of the possible pitfalls and how to ensure against them. I guess my attempts to suggest actions to reassure backfired. Let me make this clear, in my experience in CA and CP KTV's you are much less likely to suffer from scamming or incompetent behvavior than in place like Pattaya, AC, or Jakarta. The only thing in your list that isn't extreme, is the practice of mixing up larger pitchers of drinks from your bottle than I prefer. I will also say that is has been my experience that the KTV staff from top to bottom is effective and proffessional at their jobs and very responsive and proactive to make sure you are happy, enjoying yourself, and completely satisfied with their service. On the rare occasion I have had a problem or complaint it was addressed immediately and to make satisfaction. Try that next time you are in AC and the waitress messes up your order, or you find mystery chits in your cup.

I have tried to set some of the basic parameters on what things cost and how your evening should proceed. I know that I was certainly leary of doing KTV's given the language barriers and he very unfamilia format. So I just hope that these guidelines would help someone who was curious but unsure of what to expect.

Are there non mongering things to do and see in that area?

If I could use my United miles, I'd certainly love to try a new destination like this, especially if I could have the CH vets on this thread as guides.

Av8tr, can you be more specific about the kinds of non-mongering things you are interested in? Obviously there is great shopping, food, massage, golf. Evidently there is lots of Canton cultural things nearby, as well as temples and such. You also, have Macau (with Zhuhai), HK, and Guangzhou nearby which all have tons of tourist attractions.

Hell, it is totally different than your usual asian mongering destinations. It may or may not work well for you, but seriously doubt you would regret checking it out. PM me and I can let you know my Nov and Dec. dates.

Av8tr, last year Merlin and I flew LAX-HKG on United - he in business class, I on airmiles in coach. I paid a nominal fee for economy plus, and had a relatively comfortable flight.

And, by the way, it's a lot more pleasant flying out of United's terminal than wretched Bradley International Terminal.

After a bit of negotiating in the airport, we secured seats on a van; stopped twice for customs; and had to be informed we had arrived in Chang Ping because it was a shorter ride than anticipated.

I strongly recommend coordinating with someone who knows his way around.

Or you could very easily just sit in the Hui Hua lobby and salivate ;-)

Av8r, I think you'd like CP, based on the type of gals you prefer and your language abilities. Some great restaurants, an excellent spa (silvery springs), footsies, and interesting buildings all over. I'd also agree that its more fun with others in CP, espec. a vet.

MX, I'm not looking for anything specific. I guess I just like to do more than just monger when I go somewhere new. Of course I'm always looking for interesting things to photograph. From what you describe, I think it could be quite an adventure.

I have a trip booked to Bkk for Xmas. I imagine I could take a flight to china from there without much trouble. If that doesn't work out, sometime in the first quarter of 2009.

Would be great to have this happen with a group of CH degenerates.
