I just returned from Cartagena for about a week. This isn’t a typical trip report with a lot of action or pics. It is more of an up to date intel report useful for someone going to Cartagena in the very near term before the Miss Colombia Contest gets into high gear.

My dates in Cartagena where 10/1 to 10/7. I stayed in Laquito Playa Mar 503 for $100K which I rented from Mery. It was a one bedroom with a view, hot water, cable tv, and internet. The Playa Mar is chica friendly. They only need to register with the reception with their cedulua.

I had some nonpro action lined up so I didn’t have the energy for a lot of pro action but I did head out of couple of nights to some places. It is the low season this time of year, the weather is iffy for the beach, but there aren’t a lot of crowds. I prefer this time of year for relaxing.

On Thursday night I headed out to El Centro. I hit la plaza de Santo Domingo with the intention of hitting Tu Candela. I was rolling solo so I thought that would be a good place to start.

On the way of course I was asked if I wanted some chicas. Of course I said sure, as I’m always interested in knowing where these guys take me as I have been to Cartagena many times, but not in the last 2 years. So, this kid takes me to a place called Queens. I didn’t see it listed under the disco section. It may have changed names. I couldn’t verify the address but it is on the corner near the Cathedral of Pedro Clavar. It is has a Colombian flag and Spanish flag hanging over the door.

Walked in and ordered an 8K beer and watched the mariachi show going on. Apparently it was one of the girls birthday and they had a mariachi band. After the show, the girls started to eat their birthday dinner. I know better then to interrupt a pro eating free food, so I tried to make some conversation with some chicks that weren’t eating. Well, for some reason it didn’t go very well. Maybe it was too early. So I finished my beer and head out.

Intel: Bar prices are reasonable, there were about 15 girls. I don’t recall anything spectacular. It was early and the bar was busy celebrating the birthday, so no one was interested in working so I never got to the negotiating. This place is worth a look if you are downtown.

I left and found the Isis Bar which you can find the address in the disco section under Cartagena. It was still pretty early, but the bar had about 15 girls and about 10 patrons. I ordered a 10k beer and sat at the bar. The bar has a stage and an occasional show. One thing that impressed me about this bar was that of the 10 patrons in the bar all drinking, none of them had a girl at the table. I thought that this was a bit strange. Another thing about this bar that was weird was that all the girls were standing around and weren’t really responding to any of my signals. It reminded me a high school dance at somebody else’s high school where the guys and girls were waiting for one another.

I ended up getting the attention of the some of the girls and had the opening conversation stuff, and got some phone numbers.

Intel: Bar price is reasonable 10K for a beer. 15 to 20 girls but not very aggressive. The average price that I was quoted was around $200K but it a soft $200K.

While I was at the Isis Bar, I met a guy from Cali who was in town on business. He told me about another bar called Elecktra Club. He said that we needed to go but it doesn’t open until 3am. So to kill time we went over to Tu Candela.

Tu Candela has been reported on many times and hasn’t changed much. The only thing different was the upstairs was closed and the bottom part was the only part open. More nonpros there this night, but there were a few pros (Paisas) at the bar.

Intel: See the other reports on Tu Candela, no change.

So we head over to Electrka Club. It is on a street called Calle de Tibron. If you leave from Tu Candela hang a left and walk straight 2 blocks and hang a right go half a block and you’ll be at the front door.

We enter and my immediate thought was that we should have gotten here sooner. The place was packed with pros and the Rumba was in full swing. On the way to the bar, every girl was giving me that look that only a Colombian pro can give you. I was pissed off that we went Tu Candela first.

I tried to get a bottle 50K but it was too late, the place closes at 4am. So my friend from Cali was mistaken. Made some rounds and started flirting with the some of the pros and they were all interested in working. Before I could finish my beer, the lights come on and they start heading us to the door.

For those members of CH that haven’t experienced the closing of a bar like this, when all the pros are outside waiting for taxis you are missing an experience. It is a cross between the floor of the stock exchange and the some type of bazaar. It is truly econ 101 where you can apply the principals of supply and demand and capitalism.

Intel: Reasonable prices at the bar. Too many girls to count but with the attitude that you would expect if you were looking for take out. Price is around $100k for a couple of hours, maybe even less, if you are interested in negotiating hard. Check this place out for sure on a Thursday night. (Went by on a Saturday and it was empty)

I walked down the beach one day to say hello to some of my beach friends. I wanted to say hello to Emily the masseuse. If you go to the beach and want a massage don’t get one from anyone else but Emily or her sister Luz. They will give you a good massage and not overcharge you.

While I’m sitting there talking to Emily, guess who shows up? Yes, Tony #1. I wasn’t even close to his area, but the beach action was really slow. He has got that Gringo radar so he comes over to me, and starts his bullshit. He doesn’t know my name, but starts listing all my friends’ names. It always amazes me how he does this.

He starts working on offering me his services, and trying to hit me up to buy him a beer. I told him, why don’t you buy me a beer? He tells me he has the best girls on the beach etc, and says that he can find me what ever I want. He keeps talking his bullshit and offers to fuck me in my ass for $500K. I jump on the opportunity and tell him that his offer is very tempting but I don’t have that much on me at the moment but give me some time and I try to come up with it. And guess what? He didn’t know what to say. I finally found a way to shut this guy up. For those of you who know Tony, you know how this is an impossible feat. Although I had to offer up the opportunity to get fucked in the ass by Tony, it was worth it to see him not know what to say.

Over the course of the week, I saw Tony on occasion and he always started the conversation if I was ready for his dick. I told him, that I was $200K short, but I was trying to raise the money. He never seemed to stick around that much after I told him that, which was a plus.

On my last day there, he started the same shit. So, I told him. Look. I’m still short on the $500k but that I have been thinking. Why don’t I just come back tomorrow, sit in your section, and you can fuck me in the ass, by over charging me on drinks like you always do to people? It will cost me less, and I will still feel your dick in my ass.

He just gave a nervous laugh, turned around and walked away. Unbelievable, I was able to shut Tony #1 up twice. Anyone who knows this guy knows that this is almost impossible to shut him up once let alone twice. LOL. I celebrated with a round of Aquilas.

Intel: Although Tony #1 has a bank full of numbers, there are other ways to find girls on the beach. Get a massage from Emily and ask her. You’ll get a massage, find a beach girl and not have to deal with Tony’s bullshit. Rate on the beach this week, 2 hours 50K to 80K.

On Saturday nite, I hit LDV mainly because it was close. My non pro had been draining me, but I mustered up the energy to check the place out. I got there about 11:30PM and it was just starting to get full. I got a 10K beer and went back by the back wall near the women’s bathroom. This turned out to be a great vantage point as there was a constant stream of chicas heading to the bathroom and they all stopped at this huge mirror on their way to and from the head. Nice! Typical LDV fare on this night

I had a number of conversations and learned that business was really off. I was offered anything from $100K to $150K to start. I didn’t have any energy for take out, but it was a buyers market for sure.

Intel: LDV has been reported on plenty. $100K to $150K was the offer.

Conclusion: I was there during the super slow season, and it turns out that it isn’t a bad time to go in my view, as there was plenty of action to be had, at a reasonable price. (Peso was $2,250 when I left) All the standards are same, beach, Tu Candela, LDV, ISIS. But, I recommend checking out Elecktra Club in El Centro on a Thursday you won’t be disappointed. Queens is the old Giro Matteo. It is similair to the old tripleterra, in that you have to pay a salida to get the girls out. They asked 40K when I was there in August, we paid 20K each for our 2 girls. Should be 10K?

Electra is owned by the same guys as LDV and usually is dead before 3, The girls don't show up intil LDV closes.

Salida at Giro Matto and Tripletera???/

Since when? I did not pay anything when I was there (4 years ago though)

I never went often to either, but I never paid any salidas at Giro Matto. Salidas were common at Tripletera.

Yeah when you left with a girl at tripleterra, they wanted 10K, I took a few out of there.
In giro Matto, they let the girls in "free" but if they left before 6 AM they had to pay the 10K. I was in there at 6 AM once it was a like a vacuum as all the girls who did not leave with someone rushed out.
I was there in Nov 2006 and Feb 2007 and paid both times. not sure about 4 years ago. Both places are closed now, so it is a moot point.

I went to queens and we took two chicas out of there. We ended up paying a salida of 20,000 per chica and 100,000 for a few hours each.
