As for picking up tabs in bars I only drink water, and usually only drink one, but I've paid for more then my share of checks outright because I knew others would cover me down the road. Tit for tat. Well, my name's tat and I don't bother looking for tit because I know my bros got my back. Perhaps, because you usually hobby alone, this has not come up in the past, but at least with my friends I don't wanna be the cheap charlie. When you're unable/unwilling to throw in a few extra bux to roll with buddies you are better off traveling alone.

Actually, MongerX did say I was cheap when it comes to drinks. And he’s right! If I just wanna get pissed, the beer tastes a helluva lot better in my home country. When travelling, I have a one track mind.

When I walk into a bar, I’ll have a drink. But I’ll rarely have more than one. Drinking is not the reason I’m there. Beer goggles affect your judgment. Getting drunk affects the performance. And drinking in mongering venues can put a serious dent in your budget. I have my priorities straight.

I may wanna sit back, nurture my drink and observe the scene – you can learn a lot that way. Then again, I may walk out of a bar with my drink still full. My MO is very particular and based on gaining an understanding of the dynamics of a mongering scene. That helps me to achieve my primary objective – getting the (best possible performance out of) the hottest looking girls. My scientific approach to mongering makes me a good report writer. But I’m not the guy you wanna hit the bars with. I’m not into drinking. I’m not into male bonding. My attention is 100% focused on the ladies. The lone wolf strategy generally fits me like a glove.

Look what happened when I mongered together with MongerX. Despite his best intensions, Elsa was a disaster. Cinta’s friends didn’t work out. When we first met (in Batam), MongerX was even more of a jinx. Up until his recent outburst, MongerX has always been a great guy who means well. And he’s the fountain of wisdom on Jakarta. But hunting in packs generally doesn’t work out for me. Mongering alone gets me results.

There are exceptions to every rule, though. The entire CP gang hates me for standing up to mamasans and non-performing girls. I refuse to roll with the punches to preserve the good image of laowais in China. Fuck that, you bunch of sissies! Still, Reader123 was the perfect mongering companion. He was an ABC, but we were cut out of the same mold.

I didn’t take the picture of Wewe (Weeti) when we met in MongerX’s room in 2007. I took the picture when I fucked her in Stadium in 2005. And, as I said, the picture had already been posted in my 2005 Indonesia report.

If MongerX objected to the picture, all he had to do was send me an e-mail or PM and it would have been removed. The way he handled the matter was both ungentlemanly and uncharacteristic.

MX is probably the friendliest, most helpful and laid back fellow monger I have ever met. He is not rash or hasty and very few things get under his skin. He is pretty damn easy to get along with.

I use to like to monger alone and I rarely, if ever, set out to meet up with anyone. By chance a few years ago I happen to run into MX in a destination. And I have a lot better times now in many places based on the information he has given and shared. But it is also not like MX did all the work for me either. Rather, he shared some excellent information and gave advice in order to allow me to have a better time. I did the rest on my own. He has been anything but a jinx. Rather, I would consider him invaluable as a wingman.

If he is deciding to cut back on meeting new people because of this situation, it is mostly the people that haven't yet met MX that will lose out. He will get along just fine.

As far as the cliques issue, I think the original explanation of it is way off. I don't think the way into a clique is by agreeing with or supporting them on the board. I think it is natural that certain people just happen to get along better or worse with others. And people tend to hang out with people they like. But this also what makes MX unique. I've never seen him be clique-ish. I've just seen him be friendly and helpful towards just about anyone he meets.

Meeting guys from the board for the first time is a bit of a crapshoot. The majority I have met have been at least decent guys. 5 or 6 have been super to hang with . You definitely would fit into the creepy category.

in my previous post, i had assumed loso and mx had a joint photo shoot going on. and just failed to discuss what was going on the net and what wasn't. i've got an itchy trigger finger on the topic of pictures. in this case i pulled the trigger a bit quick. my assumptions were not correct so the commentary doesn't really apply to this case. my apologies.

in any case, it appears the picture posted was a rather minor issue compared to some of the other items brought up.

I've been reading all this nonsense and restraining myself till now, but I've got to say something.

First, I've never met MX, but I know Blazers and Khun Mor and both are great guys who would go out of their way for a friend and make great wingmen or conversely that I'd be happy to be a wingman for. Both vouch for MX and call him a good friend.

Second Loso, it seems that removing the pictures in question buying a few drinks and saying sorry could have saved a friendship. I'd have done that in a heartbeat. I always want to remember that the world is small and not that friendly and that therefore buddies are irreplaceable. Some of my best times have been hanging with monger buddies chasing women.

Third their are assholes and good guys amongst Americans and Europeans. I'm not sure I know where to start, but I can tell you that Adolf and his boys tried to kill my dad for being Jewish when he was a teenager in Germany and later in France. Euros, the same guys that brought poison gas to warfare, you call civilized. I sure don't think that anyone can be proud of what their German heritage brought to the world. Then again British colonialism fucked over lots of people all over the world, not to mention that the US bailed the Brits out in WWI and WWII. Will your native country just let me or any other foreigner just move there, take a job and become a citizen? I seem to remember reading about recent riots in France and Germany over how they treat muslim citizens, but you don't mind screwing their women in Indonesia.

At the same time the US sure would have trouble being proud of it's actions in Vietnam, Cambodia, Iraq, Cuba, to our native Americans or some others. Let alone US immigration policies, or that we've been named the Ugly American in some of our travels.

Most of the guys on this board when met in person make great friends and I can't even begin to go on about how many have helped me out or been good friends to me in my travels. A partial list would include Hunterman who showed me around Pattaya on my first trip, Porker and Pheonixguy giving me advice on my first trip to AC, RT Gooch who selflessly helped me plan my first trip to Peru, various drinking and mongering buddies on various trips who shared their drinks, whoring holes, knowledge and good times with me, and who we've backed each other on various trips that would include but not be limited to those mentioned above but also, Big Poppa, Sockboy50, THM, Carlo840, Snooky, Baddog, Blazers and I'm sure others that I've neglected to mention due to my bad memory, but don't mean to insult. My travels would have lost a whole dimension without some of the buddies that I've hung with. Sockboy50 has selflessly invited me to screw his countrywomen and drink the liquor of his ancestors in AC.

Again for these reasons Loso be smart and tell MX that you would remove any offensive pics and buy a couple of rounds with an apiology. MX, if he does so, accept the apiology and bury the hatchet with him.

Just my two cents expanded and expounded on to added up to a dollar twenty seven or a Euro.

I have the pleasure of meeting MX and he singlehandedly made my first trip to Indonesia good enough for me to repeat it again. MX has vast knowledge of JKT mongering scene and without his help my first trip to JKT would have been a mediocre cultural and museum visit. Not only he knows the best places for mongering but also knows the best places to get the best deals and seems like Loso probably benefited a bunch from MX experience since MX could save him a buck or two.

BTW, I stayed at both Mercure Rekso and Novotel and I used their laundry services on daily basis and found their laundry rates pretty reasonable compare to what I pay here in California.

I agree with Gurock1 that removing the pictures in question and saying sorry could have saved a friendship but hopefully it is still not too late and you can still save your friendship by removing the pictures and saying sorry to MX.

I too, reading this thread since its inception, ignorant of the alleged transgressions, have to speak up. MX was the best guide a monger could have, giving me a thorough introduction to Batam, Jakarta, and AC. He is one of the most honorable and giving members of this board, not to mention pioneering new locations. He has been unstinting in sharing his knowledge with us all. I will be eternally grateful to him.

I don't know _Loso, but if he pissed off MX, he must have done something WRONG. And reading his comments, justifying himself with no remorse--that's the WRONG attitude.

Well since we are all giving MX his well deserved thanks, I must also chime in and agree that MX was a great friend to me on my first trip to SEA.

MX and I have kept in contact over the years and visited several spots in SEA and when our schedules did not synch he was more than happy to advise me on the venues that I planned to visit.

Wow, Im new on this scene, wish i had found it when i was 25...now im 54, cant walk and use a wheelchair...where is the best place for me too go, that I can locate all these hot ladies, I live in Florida..any advice would be greatly appreciated

In my opinion, the problem is that many of the places that are reported here (i.e. Thailand, Brazil, etc, etc) are for the most part not very handicap friendly. Brazil has become more so, but mostly in public places....but trying to make it into a terma with a wheelchair might be difficult. However, if you are determined and can cope with the difficulties then almost all is possible....you just have to adapt to those venues that are and are not accessible to you. From a flight perspective, there should be no issue....Most Hotels have elevators to get to the room...getting around, you can take taxi's....in Rio, the Balcony Bar is an open bar that seems like it would be easy enough for you to access. Termas not so much.

Keep in mind most of the places reported here are big tourist destinations as well. Have you traveled at all outside the US? If the answer is 'Yes', then you already have an idea what to expect. If 'No', then just pick-up and go...try to do what you can and just have fun.

Hawk, I do recall seeing a guy or two using wheelchairs chasing tail in the FKK's of Frankfurt Germany.

I remember an italian guy in a wheelchair who used to go to 4x4. Saw him several times. It was 2006 and my maiden trip to Rio. I remember Gibletpie telling me to stay away from him because he was apparently a violent drunk.

Do they have an elevator that goes to the boite at 4x4? Its hard for me to imagine how he got up that winding staircase if they dont.

I also think FKKs would work with wheel chairs. Read up on reports for Germany, primarily Frankfort. However Germany is very expensive.

Going to Brazil and finding a new hotel would work and you could bring in girls from Karla's.

Actually, now that I think about it - 4x4 (Rio terma) does have an elevator! I just have never used it...Usually because there is a line of girls waiting to get in and it is easier to go up the stairs.

I think most places in Pattaya would also be very accessible. Walking Street is closed at night to cars & easy to navigate - tons of places to go to...pick a hotel close by or on Walking Street and almost all is accessible. Most places are accessible at street level...
