I enjoy your well-written reports and great pictures. I've been to Brazil many times myself and lately I try to get down there at least four or five times a year.

Like you, I've also come down with a strong cold during a couple of my trips. The choice that I've made when that happens to me is to try not to spread the virus to more people. I made the decision to keep going for a number of reasons. I did have a sore throat and I was weak, but other than than I really didn't have symptoms. If I was badly congested, had a runny nose, high fever, I likely wouldn't not have continued. Since I could walk, talk and otherwise get around, I decided to keep going, otherwise my trip would have been shot.
