Got in to MNL from NRT on JAL at a little after 10pm with just a carry-on. In just twelve minutes I cleared immigration and customs, exchanged $100us, and made it to the taxi stand. Original plan was to taxi to 5 Star or Victory Liner for a bus, but I was too jazzed up and negotiated 2500p to AC instead. Fatigued, anxious, and a little drunk from the JAL flight; the extra $40 splurge seemed worth it. Cab took around and hour and a half and dropped me off fifty yards from Le Mirage Apartelle above Carousel Bar on Fields. It was raining lightly and I had a bag, so I received four or five umbrella offer, three or four for viagra, and two beggars looking for pesos on my one minute walk. Total time from my apartment in Kansas City : 28 hours. And that after a full work day, Halloween party, and a 2 hour nap.

Leaving the hotel I decided to make the Viper Room my first stop. On my prior trip the first person I meet was local character Johnny Tango who is now the papasan at Viper Room. Hit a money exchange on the way and fended off more viagra salesmen, umbrella peddlers, and a midget doorgirl that clung to one arm a good ten yards. Hitting the door of Viper Room a thin cutie doorgirl steps in front of me and I say "take me to Johnny Tango" before her mouth opens. Whisked inside, I find Tango at a table yelling at the girls to show some enthusiasm for the cheer they are about to do to celebrate a bell ring. The cheer has all the energy of bingo night at a pensioners home. After waiting for Tango to finish admonishing his staff, I pull up a stool and start chatting. Generic bullshit ensues and the door girl stops by to check on me. Introductions made and soon I am having a lady drink with Marilyn. After awhile, she starts to grow on me... well something was growing. She and Johnny say she is the new girl and this is her fifth day, never been barfined, and no kids. A few minutes later, I pull the trigger. No bag and in street clothes so we are out the door in 2 minutes.
Barhop is a short one. Two drinks at a forgettable bar and back to my room.
Marilyn immediately suggests a shower and further suggests I join her. Soapy heaven and a teaser BJ ensues. The bed round goes so well I ask her if she would like to go with me to Subic the next day. Decision is made in the morning after another round. Deal is that we will go day to day and I plan on returning to AC after five days at the latest. She goes home to pack a bag and check with her mother planning to meet at Kokomos for the 2pm shuttle. Meanwhile, I get a new Noika 1200 for 1100p, wander around a bit, call Tango to inform him that his doorgirl heading out of town, and flirt with waitresses at Kokomos. She meets me just in time and points out her mother walking the other way down the street.
