With Marilyn on the bus back to Angeles City, I find myself with 8 days to butterfly and now a larger deluxe room at Arizona. Through negotiation, I got the deluxe at a little less than the rack rate for the standard room by extending my stay. Reiterating an earlier point, all the hotels I popped my head into were willing to cut their rack rate 10-20% for a walk up week stay as occupancy seemed very low in the area.
My single guy day starts with my standard late breakfast of a big fruit platter, one egg, toast, bacon, and brewed coffee for 220p at Arizona. No real banks in Barrio Baretto, and my breakfast is followed by a bone shattering four miles to Olopongo riding bitch while Dave is in the cab. Dave needed to hit the bank. Later I would find taking a jeepney is far more comfortable and sane as one winding stretch on highway along the shore is fairly freaky in trike at moderate speed being passed by higher speed vehicles. Oz's Internet Cafe gets a long visit as I am way behind on the news and missed the election. Coffee there is good and they have little deli sandwiches if you get hungry.
At five thirty I get to Sandcastle and have a decent little cheesebuger and fries inside watching the girls get ready for the six PM opening. I came into to barfine Candy who two nights earlier was all over me.
The Cavern is a go-go on the first floor of the Sandcastle hotel open 6p-2a. It is probably the largest bar in area, has the most plush seating, and is reasonably up scale. Oddly, there seemed never to be many customers on my half dozen stops. Nearly everything is red from the velour couches to the red metallic ceiling effect. Maybe thirty girls dancing. Barfine is 1400p and LDs are 140p. Local drinks and beer run 60p with no happy hour. Girls really do dance in this bar.
Candy makes it in and a buy a lady drink to be nice and for a final interview. I am questioning my judgement of why I made a beeline for her and find myself leering at another girl named Nikki. Two nights before when I met Candy there I was with Marilyn and my crew, it was late, I was a wee bit drunk, and Marilyn and I had just had a quicky in the CR at Sandcastle. (good one for that as you go through a curtain first then right to mens or left to womens, so it is less noticable than most) Anyhow, Candy is 28 and 5'9" in heels, a bit thicker than my current tastes, and seeming very needy. On Baloy beach in front of the Blue Rock Resort. Aussie owned by Tommo and managed by Ash. Closed part of the year as the weather can come up quick and they can not move it easily. Blue Rock Floating was remodeled and the furnishing and epoxy coated wicker with cushions. Two stories. 55p local and beer, 120p ladies, and 1300 barfine. I noticed the girls here seemed to be working a bit harder for LDs which may have been due to the delayed opening or my very generous buddy Dave. My only real complaint is the music. On a few visits each time I had the bitch repeatedly to get something danceable playing which livens the girls up. Most of Ashes Ipod seems to be a cast of a mid eighties soft rock station in Indiana. Not proper beach party music. Upstairs on the one western guy / two pinay settees is the place to sit. The day turns into a drink fest afternoon with the crew hopping the early bars. Run a couple mellow interviews, but nothing popping my cork. By four PM at DownUnder the double tequila's Dave drinks all day have hit him.
Down Under Bar
A little bit of a dated bar with a warehouse atmosphere and a couple pool tables. Open at 3pm (?) with standard pricing. Small line up of maybe six girls in the afternoon of good quality. Never made it in at night.
As I am having a nice relaxing series of Connect-Four with a lovely and Steve is telling another about his beach cottage down the street, Dave starts going of on the stage girls not smiling. Not just a little poking fun, he really starts going off. This is not the first time and Steve and I are getting a bit uncomfortable. This creshendos with Dave giving one of the dancers 1000p (not a typo) as she is the only one smiling. Refreshed and with a new umbrella, I head back out and get a haircut. 100p bargin at a little shop next to Pirates Pub.
Running solo, I decide to try a place I have never been in and go into NightRiders by the Baloy beach turnoff.
Night Riders Bar
Medium sized bar claiming AC roots moved to Barrio Baretto after it was damaged by a volcano. Six PM to 2 AM Two very well kept pool tables and about a dozen dancers. Drinks and barfines seemed about middle of the road. Food from restaurant on site. Short time room available for 300p up to two hours.
Arriving at NightRiders about 5:30 PM I find a few girls playing pool and killing time. Soon I am getting my ass kicked by Lyn and another girl sipping ladies drinks and going double against me on the green. Lyn is flirty prancing about in her bikini top and skirt and when the mamasan arrives though the front door at six the first word she hears are "Barfine, Lyn" I text my barhopping crew and meet up at WetSpot timing it just right for free pizza. Dave had a melt down over girls saying see how you are and got loading into a trike go sleep it off. Before he did, he ordered and paid for a big pizza which was nice. Next day at lunch I ask Lyn if she is up for another day and she is. Blue Rock Floating was not a great idea. It was still raining and chilly by pinay standards. She inquires what he means then tells me they have a room in the back. Shazaam! Not bad really. It was clean. Shower was cold though. Returned from the back to cheers from the dancers and drinkers and an Aussie bought us a round.
Hop moves along to The Office per Lyn's choice and an old favorite of Steve.

Ho Hum on my couple visits. 20 plus dancers. Standard pricing. Five PM until 2 AM. A few ex-pats claimed that until the new bars started opening it was the place for fun and talent. I found it to be a bit too cramped and way too many big girls. A couple just plain massive.

Ok Place. First thing you notice is the poor bastard guard at the door outside dressed in an almost clownish purple special forces looking getup. OK couch seating and an over packed central stage with 12-15 girls on it. Standard pricing. Tended to see the very few Asians in town here.

ClubHombre member HogPenny arrives about 3:30 PM to Arizona after a few days in AC. Ex-pat Steve and I take him barhopping and he is a mellow guy that instantly fits into the scene. We hop along starting at the usual WetSpot.
It is around 10 PM and I have yet to barfine. By this time we are at Sandcastle and I am looking for Nikki and told she quit after working just three days. For a welcome change, HogPenny and I both pull the trigger early at WetSpot. For me, I put mamasan Edna I had gotten to know on the case. Skip hopping more and head to the room. Irish does just fine. Back out to eat at Dryden's in which the ribs were awful. Back to the room the play and watch a movie.

The next morning (my last day) we meet up with HogPenny and Gina for brunch. By the end of it, we both decide to re-barfine and make a run to Olopongo to do some shopping. Way nicer trip by jeepney. HP buys Gina a moderately priced cell phone and an outfit and I get Irish a dress. Fairly cheap shopping dates, mine ran just 300p. Some afternoon play and out for my last barhop. A few nights earlier Steve and I stopped in and meet Frank. Frank is an old jolly honeypotted Austrian that took over the small somewhat run down bar a few months ago with his 30 something pinay wide. Lineup was about ten girls. I tried a couple nights later to go in but they were closed. Turns out they were closed as Frank fired a few girls and closed for the night to restore order. The few dancers actually do dance.
