CitiChic hotel was 2500BHT like last year, but prices of girls and barfines have risen. Top girls would routinely ask for 2000/4000 BHT for short/long time and many would refuse long time while others would agree then complain about a stomach ache or some similar bullshit and split early. One bar had a 700 BHT fine for girls.

I was down in Phuket with a girl from Nana when news of Suvarnabhumi airport's closure came. Taking over an airport is terrorism in my book, by Thai authorities and even the people did not necessarily see it that way.

Many tried to drive to the Malaisan airport, but I wanted to escort the girl back to BKK so I got on the bus. Although first class, the bus was a dump--especially the bathroom. It was also ice cold. The trip to BKK took about 14 hours. A friend of mine simply hired a taxi for 13500 BHT and drove up to BKK in 10 hours.

It took 6 days before I could get out via the re-opened airport. Many airlines re-routed people over a military base with much delay while others -- including American Airlines -- simply declared that there is a war and no flights are going anywhere. I had to buy new flight tickets in person at the ThaiAir's BKK office for big bucks after hours of standing on lines.

I used to love BKK and enjoyed visiting Nana, Soy Cowboy and Kao San Road, but I wouldn't want to risk this again. I'm not planning to go back but if I do, it will be via a foreign port such as Singapore or Cambodia. That way if anything happens in Thailand, I can at least cab it back to the airport.

On the positive side, the Thai economy will definitely take a huge hit, and perhaps prices will start coming down. This is the age of deflation, after all, is it not?

I hope they take over the airport again the next time I'm in LOS . Would love to overstay in Thailand and tell everyone it was not my fault. Not knocking you PB as I see your point for sure. It would suck to have to be somewhere else and not be able to get out because of idiots who have no regard for others.

As for the panoramic pics,I doubt they are direct from the camera . More likely photostitched - chai mai ?? Even a full view DSLR with the shortest focal length lens could not do those. You would need a fisheye lens and those are not fisheye pics.

Believe it or not, the panoramics were taken by an LG Dare phone camera with no tripod and no re-touching used. The camera lets you take 3 shots, guiding you to help avoid slipping then assembles the shots for you. Since I didn't use my mini tripod, some of the shots have ugly seams in them, but the last 2 are nearly flawless with no noticeable seams anywhere. Amazing technology!

I discovered a lot about health on this trip. I barebacked several times -- once with a chick I know to have Chlamydia -- and didn't get anything. I used the flush-out method, slowly urinating after intercourse. An old doctor told me about this years ago, but I never took it seriously. It does work, although it is probably not full proof.

Finally, I used an anti-bacterial travel mask on this trip both ways and for the first time, I didn't get sick. Some people joked about it, but who cares. The mask filters down to 1 micron and stops all bacteria and virus from entering. I also used a fragrant spray, which made the experience even better.

Beyond the health issues, I paid 2 visits to Khao San road. Gulliver's Travels is packed with women, both freelancers as well as amateurs, but the street action on Khao San itself is also good. This is a younger crowd but if you are under 40 or look like you are, it is a fun place to visit.

It seems every club, bar and pool in BKK is full of women. You don't really need to barfine if you don't want to.

I would also recommend the malls at Soi 2 and Soi 11. They have fresh food for pennies.

For airport transfers, I coughed up $33 for a new midsized car with a decent driver. You can get a metered corolla for $15, but I think more luxury is worth a few extra bucks.

The town was half empty when I left. Nobody at the pool or gym and only one monger having breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Bizarre.

How did you know she had chlamydia ? Obviously she was already diagnosed and hopefully being treated for and therefore likely no longer infectious. Update: Travelocity has pledged to not only refund the price of the original return trip but also, to collect money from the airlines to pay for my extended stay at the hotel. I always purchase travel insurance from Travelocity, but I think they would be doing the same without any insurance at all.

Getting money back from AirAsia is much more difficult. They routinely ignore emails and even on the phone only pick up if you call their booking line. I had to call AirAsia booking in BKK, but they finally came through and agreed to refund the money.

Looks like the financial fallout from this mess will be minimal. Should I also request compensation for 6 nights of unplanned whoring? I think the Thai government is responsible for the compensation of mongers who were forced to bar-fine girls for extra nights ;-)

Where did you get the Okamoto crown's?

You have to try Sagami polyurethane condoms . Only 0.02mm thick . The polyurethane give much more sensitivity than latex. Also transmits heat better so much more natural feeling. Come in larger size also .

KM, Sagamis are also great condoms, I believe they are the thinnest and come in interesting containers. I slightly prefer the Real Fit ones as they vacuum seal around your tallywacker and are also very thin .03 -- feels like having nothing at all.

All-- For those who arrive/depart from HK.. You can get the Sagami condoms at any of the Watson's in T1 or T2.. If I recall, they are like .002 or .003mm in thickness.. I've used them before and literally had ot "check" to make sure it was still there..
