I was in no for another immediate boinking so I decided my plan today was to have no plan. You know, Buenos Aires is a large city, but it is a small world. Walking down Quintana in Recoleta, of the 11 million plus who live here, I saw "Clara" from Platynum sitting on a bench in front of a Freddo ice cream store. Looking attractive but as hard as Mt. Rushmore. After I passed her, I couldn't resist turning around, walking back and asking her in Spanish if she remembered me. She looked me right in the eye and said in an uninterested way, "No." I added "from the Art Suites." She looked at me again, expressionless, for a few seconds and said, "Yes." I smiled, said "Bueno", executed a 180 and walked away. The clunt. For those of you who care, see my post of, I believe, October 2002, in which I recount that less than satisfying experience.

Tonight I have dinner with Mayra of argentinago.com As I said above, I cannot recommend her highly enough. She has been a great help on this and my earlier trips. She told me she had tried to call me repeatedly when she knew I was in the apartment she arranged for me, and I indicated casually in response I probably didn't pick up because the non-adjustable ringer on the apartment phone was quite faint. Apparently Mayra contacted the owner of the apartment because I had another phone within 12 hours.

Not sure whether I'll hit a few clubs tonight or not. Kinda want to avoid Playwomen until I am ready for Diana -- if ever I am -- though there were 2 other slinkies in there I eyed when I was at the bar the other night. I might stop by Madaho's to see if it still has big action like earlier in October. Or, I might go to a place for which I was handed a card on the street as I walked home last night after dinner. It's called "Extra Brut" and it is at Las Heras 2311 which is just a couple of blocks from "Recoleta Row" (Madaho's, Solid Gold, and Playwomen). As I said, my plan is to have no plan. Update: went home and went to sleep...
