The next day we woke up late and had lunch in Old Havana at a hotel cafe. Decided to look for some souvernirs, rum and take some photos of Old Havana. On my next trip, I am going to bring an SLR and take photos of the locals and neighborhoods in Central Havana.
Went back to the apartment and answered a call from a girl that I had a chat with at Salon Rojo the night before and a girl that was with Jonesie on the first night. She is also the sister of a girl the Good Doctor had been fucking 3 nights in a row. I knew that we were having dinner next door at 8:00pm so told them to come over at 6pm for a couple hours. They showed up on time and the looked like they had been partying all night and day.
My girl was sexy and fun in the sack. Wouldnt allow BBFS but gave an amazing BBBJCIM. One thing that was totally crazy was that she was blowing out sonic boom pussy farts while I was eating her out. Even funnier was her grunting as she let out each pussy fart. I could feel wind blowing on my chin and at some point the farts were so hard that I had to back away for a while...she was clutching my head as she was about to cum but she let out a scream when she came which coincided with the mother of all pussy farts. In general she was a cool chica, great fuck and gave an amazing BBBJ. What I have figured out with a lot of these chicas is that many times they make you use a condom for fucking the first time but will go BB the second time. This is just my impression as the girls want repeat customers and there is a lot of competition with few mongers.
At night we had the most amazing lobster dinner done by a chef that served us at our neighbors place. This guy is great friends with Jonesie and has two amazingly hot daughters. The meal included a lobster tail from a prehistoric lobster. The tail was around 4.5 inches wide and 6 inches long and must have been near a pound...THE TAIL. It was prepared well with butter although our local buddy thinks its better grilled. They also served great Cuban style coffee and homemade flan. All of this costs $15CUC($17). Its the first time that I have been stuffed on lobster.
Went to the Hotel National back patio with our cigar contact and the Good Doctor. Smoked more cigars and drank Cristal beer and talked about the future of Cuba. Eventually made it back to the hotel at midnight and wanted to head back out to the clubs but knew I had to wake up at 4:30am for a 7am flight to SJO and then had a flight to LAX 3 hours later. Decided to take the sleep, although it was tempting to go with Jonesie to Casa de la Musica.
The airport was much smoother going back to SJO but my layover in Houston was a nightmare and included a stop in San Antonio for fuel after circling for hours without landing approval. Eventually had to go on a later flight and ended up in LAX WITHOUT my luggage and staying the night in a hotel as it was so late.
They delivered the luggage to my condo the next day only to find that the $800 box of cigars were gone...STOLEN by those miserable fucks working security at the airport. Also stolen was an ipod and a pair of AG jeans. Crazy that the airlines DO NOT cover such loss. The luggage changed so many hands that it would be impossible to find out which benefactor of Affirmative Action stole it. I was pissed. I will get some more cigars later but was really looking forward to a box of Cohiba Siglo #6.

That sucks about the cigars. Did you have to field any questions from ICE about your passport stamps? Not sure if Costa Rica stamps your passport when you enter and leave the country.
RG.

ICE actually doesnt get involved normally unless its an issue with apprehending aliens with outstanding removal/deportation warrants and not with passport issues. They stamped my passport in Costa Rica coming in both times but not leaving...weird. As a result, immigration would have just been confused and I could just claim stupidity. They cant prove shit and they are never industrious enough to read through my thick passport with hundreds of stamps and visas.

Blazers, why didnt you carry your cigars and especially your ipod in your carry on luggage? Knowing how easy it would be to swipe those tempting items, I dont understand why you put them in your checked luggage.
I am glad you had a great vacation, your pictures look amazing.

The ipod should have been in my carry on but no way in hell could I carry a box of CUBAN cigars in my carry on. Losing cigars is losing cigars but dealing with questions from immigration is a whole nutha matter. Granted, I have heard that the most security could do is to take away the cigars. Putting it on the carry on would have meant I had to take it through a security check in Houston AFTER going through customs. It was a calculated risk either way.

I want to get this right. Did you say you paid $800 for Cuban cigars?? If that is true than now I know that I am not in your league! I'm not even close! I smoke only Mexican cigars from Veracruz and pay no more than $50 for a box of 20!! I like them just fine! I buy them on the internet.
Of course, if I ever traveled to Cuba, I would drive my truck to Hermosillo. I would park it in my friends garage and then take a plane to Cuba. That way I would pass customs in Nogales. Since I have the Sentri pass I would have no problem crossing the border with all the puros I wanted! They never check what I am bringing with me when I go through the Sentri lane!
You live in Tucson, like me, don't you? Why not drive accross and fly from Mexico? That way you would still have your puros and not have to put up with the shitty American airline service. I have flown Mexican airlines before and never had a problem.

That is about what the cigars are worth not what I paid for it. I cant get into what I paid for them but lets just say that I paid about what you paid for Mexi cigars for 10 times the quality.
I live in San Diego not Tuscon.
You have to look at what you were paying per day in Mazatlan and you were paying quite a bit of money per day to party in Mazatlan when the quality of service and quality if girls is much better in TJ IMHO. If fishing was your primary purpose for your trip then it sounds like it was well worth it. I dont look at price, I look at value and Mazatlan doesnt sound like a good value when you look at costs per day.
Dont get me wrong....Cuba is very expensive but for me the value is good.

Hola from Havana,
Nowhere in Mexico will you find women who fuck like Cuban women. Unless, perhaps it's a Brazilian tourista. These women will fuck you stupid for less than a box of cigars cost in either country. Report to follow when I get home.
I suppose some parts of Mexico are nice, but pound for pound for mongering, Mexico doesn't compare. Otherwise all my reports would be from there....
Happy New Year fellas...

Thanks for the report.
"Granted, I have heard that the most security could do is to take away the cigars."
About 8 years ago while bring a boat back from the Bahamas a friend was caught with a box of Cuban cigars during a random customs check. After spending many hours going through the boat they left with the puros. Now every time he goes through customs and they swipe his passport it comes up “contraband” and he gets the full treatment. It’s been a real PA and he’s tried everyway to get it off (lawyers, congressman) but they all tell him “no way”

Yup! I was right. To quote Blazers: "Cuba is expensive". I knew I was out of his league! I think I will stick with what I can afford in Mexico!

I'm sorry! I misquoted him! He said "Cuba is very expensive"! I wonder if politics has made it so???? I am interested in starting a discussion on this subject.
I recall that Hernan Cortes set sail from Cuba for Mexico nearly five hundred years ago. He changed world history forever in that journey and he loved Mexico so much that before he died, he asked that his body be returned to Mexico City, not Havana, Cuba. I have visited his tomb in the center of Mexico City recently.
Even after nearly five hundred years, I wonder if the world has really changed very much. I am certain that human nature hasn't really changed all that much!
Don't get me wrong! I am still very intrigued by Cuba. I am an intrepid explorer! I may yet make the journey before I die. If for nothing else but to satisfy my curiosity about their fucking famous cigars!
But as I stated above, I will definitely take a different route than the the one blazed by Blazers!

Mazatlan is one of the most expensive mongering destinations in the world and its really not a mongering destination so you can spend up to $200 a day on hotels and another $200 on food, fishing, etc. So if Havana is very expensive, then Mazatlan is off the charts expensive.
You are trying to paint me as a high roller and thats just not the case at all.

Brewbro,
I have never been to Cuba - though Jonesie's and Blazer's reports make me want to make the trip - so what I say here may be a little off (but I don't think so.) Anyway, here goes....
Outside of the costs and hassle associated with actually GETTING to Cuba, I believe from what I've read that the costs of PLAYING in Cuba are very similar to that of Mexico.
I live in Mexico and have for the past four years. I know where the "cheap" pussy is in my town (well there IS cheaper but I wouldn’t stick my dick into it.) On average, I pay around 400 pesos for short-time. At an exchange of 13.40 - 1 that costs around 30 dollars. What do I get for that? With most of my regular girls (I have about 5 in my current "harem") that means BBBJ and sex - multiple positions - with one pop. There is no real GFE (kissing, etc.) except with one girl who I’ve been seeing for over three year and jokingly refers to herself as my “esposa.” When I'm with a girl outside of my "harem" I rarely get BBBJ - which is something that must be cultivated here - and usually get what could only be described as one step above starfish sex.
If I go to a club, in say Monterrey, it costs 50 pesos per song, and 300 - 400 pesos for sex in an open booth in a part of the club. There is ZERO GFE in the club. If you try to take-out from the club you're talking 1500 pesos ($112) for an hour in your hotel room. GFE is possible, although again, it must be cultivated. And this is the LOWER end clubs. I'm not rich enough to frequent the higher-end clubs. (Maybe Porker or Regio can chime in on the costs there.) In the one higher end club in my town, the (very) average dancers ask for $150 (that's dollars) for sex in a booth and won't even consider a date outside the club unless you drop BIG TIME coin in the club.
So what am I getting in Mexico for 30 - 40 dollars? Very average sex, with mostly average girls who have grown up in a fairly sexually-repressed society and have to fuck for a living because they generally have at least one kid, no education, and no man to support them. Mind you, I am not complaining - just stating the facts. I like living in Mexico and I like Mexican women. Two of my current harem, give the best BBBJ that I have EVER received including from Brazilian girls (high praise indeed.)
I doubt that, as a one-week warrior in Mazatlan, you are getting much better services than I get in my home in eastern Mexico. I could be wrong, but I’ve traveled and hobbied all over Mexico and generally receive the same basic services no matter where I am. Admittedly, I haven’t been to Mazatlan, so maybe you’ve hit the gold mine.
From what I’ve read about Cuban girls, their services are second only to Brazilians in this hemisphere. Both Jonesie and Blazers report paying about 40 – 50 dollars for services that sound better than what I get here in Mexico. However, I haven’t been there so can’t say with certainty that Cubanas are better than Mexicanas. But all the reports on Cuba going back to the classic Sandman and Don Gringo trip reports in the early days of this board seem to suggest that Cubanas actually LIKE sex and are GOOD at it – and that means a lot.
Now as far as GETTING to Cuba over Mexico, you’re probably correct about the cost-saving there unless you factor in the TIME that it takes you to drive to Mazatlan. As a professional, my time is worth between 50 – 100 dollars per hour. Let’s low-ball me and say that I’m worth 60 dollars an hour. On a 10-hour drive, I’ve just wasted 600 dollars of my precious time. And that doesn’t include the gas, tolls, wear and tear on my vehicle and possible mordida I may be forced to pay. So you factor all these things together I would be spending close to $1,500 (round-trip) to make a journey from SoCal to Mazatlan. I think $1,500 would go a loooonnnngggg way towards getting me to Cuba.
I know you like Mexico. I do too. However, of all the countries I’ve played in around the world Mexico rates above only the U.S. and (just barely) Canada. I will go to Cuba before this year is out and report back what I find. Right now, I’ve already got a trip to SEA booked and probably another in the summer. So Cuba may have to wait until fall.
EA
ps. Try to compare the costs of Cuban cigars bought in Mexico to those bought at the source. I can buy three Cohiba Siglo VI for 1100 pesos. I'm betting that money would buy SIGNIFICANTLY more than three in Cuba.
Jonesie or Blazer - without revealing your sources - what do you pay on average per stick for Cuban cigars at the source?
By Jonesie on Tuesday, January 06, 2009 - 06:03 pm: Edit |
One Box of (stolen from warehouse) Siglo VI, 50CUC... About the same as a nice puta. Spending money meant for the U.S. economy in Cuba... Priceless...

All, Remember that there is a BIG difference between ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and CBP (Customs and Border Patrol)
ICE is primarilly and ENFORCEMENT agency.. Detention and Removal, Federal Protective Functions, Human Smuggling, Contraband, etc..
CBP is what we we all knew as the old INS and Customs Service, now all rolled into one agency. The largest part of the new DHS entity.
What most of us travellers encounter and deal with on a face-to-face basis will be CBP agents at the immigration checkpoints and other CBP agents at the customs inspection points..
Airline staff may encounter ICE agents when we transport a "denial" or "voluntary removal" passenger back to their prior point of embarkation after being refused at the first US POE..
