I returned to Mazatlan in December of 2007 and 2008. I teamed up with Thehappytravler who has also posted trip reports on Mazatlan. We have since become "trip buddies" and I hope we continue to make trips there together.

As Thehappytravler lives in the upper midwest, he always likes to go to Mazatlan in the winter so that is why both trips occurred in December.

December of 2007 was surprisingly cool for the tropics. I was actually glad I had my windbreaker along for some really cool mornings fishing and for some cool evenings. So my advice is that if you go there in the winter bring at least a sweater and windbreaker or you may be surprised. Of course, you should also bring summer gear as you can never be sure. This December, I only wore my windbreaker and heavy shirt on the early pre-dawn fishing trips.

Last year I flew down and had to fly from Tucson to change planes in LA both coming and going from Mazatlan. I hated that shit. My ticket was close to $1000. Besides that, I hated being at the mercy of the Pulmonias and taxi drivers in Mazatlan. I have been ripped off by those fuckers in the past.

This year, I drove down in my Xterra and loved the trip. From Tucson it only takes a day and a half to drive. I will post a couple of pics here of the drive down.GFE.

This month I was also introduced by Happtravler to another Hombre that goes by the handle Scatman. I am hoping that this friendship will also expand into further mongering trips. Perhaps to other destinations, such as Colombia.

CABALLITOS AND CABALLITOS DOS
Both clubs, unfortunately, remain closed at this time.
As you know from reading my reports, I have had great times at both clubs in years past.

TARRANDAS
In my opinion Tarrandas is still the best place. They always seem to have the most busty beauties. That is the body type I like.

Bad news if you like cunnilingus for the price of a table dance. None of the chicas allow it anymore. However, I did enjoy some table side pussy eating at a place called Hacienda Del Real. But the quality is still better at Tarrandas. I was told the two clubs share the same owner. See my report on Hacienda Del Real below.

They charge approximately the same prices as the other TD clubs except they were charging $110 pesos for a two song table dance. That pissed me of as it is like double what the other clubs charge. The downstairs privado is the same price as Tarrandas and other clubs: $200 pesos for two songs.

I got a couple of privados and one or two upstairs in the "super privado" for $1500 pesos for 45 min. The women I chose were both slim and stacked with big implanted tits.

The first upstairs fucky sucky I went for was with a tall chica with died blond hair and tatoos. Sorry, I don't recall her name. She was not as affectionate upstairs as I thought she would be.

The next time I came back to Hippocampos I met Kenia. This girl is also slim and stacked with big implants but is a brunette and has a prettier face then the first one.

My big disadvantage in Mexico is not so much that my Spanish is poor but that I am a poor negotiator.

Instead, I asked the guy at the desk of my hotel for directions to the club and he made a mark on my map where it is located. I had absolutely no trouble driving there. Man! I love having wheels with me!

For any of you readers that ever drive down there this club is on the Carretera International on the northern outskirts of Mazatlan near the intersection with Blvd. Adolfo Lopez Mateos. I will post a photo here.

This is the only club in Mazatlan where I experienced table side pussy eating like I used to enjoy at Tarrandas a couple of years back.

The Pulmonia driver, Ruben, told me that this club is owned by the same guy that owns Tarrandas. This surprises me as the women are not of the same quality. They are O.K. but not even close to Tarrandas quality.

Still in operation at the same prices ($700 pesos per hour) with rooms on the premises. I took a couple of pictures of the girls last year and some of them were still there this year.

MASAJES NALLELY
Still in operation at the same location. It is in walking distance of the central area where Tarrandas, Hippocampos, La Fonda and Karla's are all located. That makes staying the in the central area nice for anyone without a car.

I didn't partake of any of the flesh at any of the massage parlors this trip. I spent all my money this time at the clubs. I am not putting the massage parlors down as they often have lovely pussy. I just love the chicas at the TD clubs. Especially the hotties at Tarrandas. I guess I am addicted to Tarrandas!

This is a new club this year. It is in the same building that used to be Tres Gordos. I posted about Tres Gordos in my 2004 trip report.

This place is a real dive. Most of the chicas are not very attractive. Thehappytravler, Scatman and I went in there for a few minutes this month. The bathroom was horrible.

I travel in Mexico all the time and it is one of the worst I have ever seen. I would recommend you piss against a wall in the street rather than go in there! No shit!

Thanks for the report Brewmeister. I was down there for the first time in September and really enjoyed the place. I've been to Puerto Vallarta as well, but like Mazatlan a lot better--not near as touristy and easier to navigate.

Besides shrimp, I also bought some small lobster tail that tasted fantastic and delicious smoked Marlin. It would be difficult to bring all that fish back on the plane!

THINGS TO DO IN MAZATLAN WHEN YOU ARE NOT FUCKING OR FISHING
In past reports I mentioned the sailing. There is also the Stone Island tour. It is very cheap. I think around $30/person and includes all the transportation from your hotel and a meal. I don't think drinks were included.

For a small extra fee you can ride horses on the beach. Since I am a city boy, I really enjoyed that.

You will, undoubtedly, see some big cruise ships as they all dock in Mazatlan. I would like to take one of these cruises some time.

There is small rock where you will almost always find sea lions sunning themselves. Here is a bull with his harem.

The bogainvilla grow intwined with the trees on Stone Island. You will see that if you go horse back riding.

FISHING PHOTOS FROM 12/2007 TRIP
This is the boat we took that year. The Hortensia. The seas were quite rough that year. The captain and crew were excellent and we got back into port without a hitch.

I have been out in deep ocean before and I never get sea sick. However, when I got back after fishing all day, I jumped in the shower to clean-up. When I closed my eyes briefly while in the shower, I had to grab the shower wall for a second because I still had the sensation of rocking! Now I know what sailors mean when they talk about "getting their land legs back"!

Here is the sailfish I caught that year.

Here is the stripped marlin I caught in 2007. I was told it was around 80 kilos (176 lbs). It is the biggest fish I have ever caught. Gave me the fight of a lifetime! My left arm was sore for about 3 days!

Here are the marlin and sail hanging.

The crew gets to keep most of the meat as a tip. That is customary. However, this time Thehappytravler and I asked if we could have half of one of the marlins. He wanted to give some meat to his friends and I wanted to try a marlin steak for dinner that night.

We ate our fish later that night at our favorite restaurant Carlos and Lucia's. That was the best fish I ever ate! Outstanding!

FISHING PHOTOS FROM 12/2008 TRIP
This is the Stormin Norman. We used this boat in 2008. I liked it just fine.

We left out of the Marina El Cid in both 2007 & 2008. The first time I fished in Mazatlan the boat left out of the marina near the big light house near downtown.

The Stormin Norman has all the latest electronic gear such as sonar, radar and GPS.

Thehappytravler's son was along and he had good luck also!

This was the only fish I caught in 2008 but it was well worth the trip! No one caught any marlin this year. I guess they just weren't bitting.

SPINNING DOLPHIN
One of the most incredible things I have ever seen on a deep sea fishing trip was the Spinning Dolphin I saw this year. I have seen dolphin swimming along side the bows of boats before but this time I must have seen hundreds! They were jumping straight up out of the water and spinning! I guess they thought they were at Sea World!

The above pics are stills taken from video I shot with my Canon digital camera. When the boat was approaching them, I first thought they could be marlin or sail fish jumping. I have only seen dolphin act like this when they were taught to do the tricks for fish at Sea World. I have no idea why they were jumping.

The manager of a great restaurant in the Golden Zone, La Palapa Del Mar, was fishing with us one of the days we went out. I was told that eventhough he lives there, this is the first time he was able to go out fishing for bill fish. He is a great guy and I am really happy that he caught the biggest sail that day.

Thehappytravler talked about Palapa Del Mar and Carlos and Lucia's in his report. Both are great restaurants and the people are the best!

Well, I think I have given you all of the best info and photos I have of Mazatlan in December, 2008. If I had the money, I would go back right now! If there is a better place in the world for fishing and fucking I want to know about it!

best fucking in the world?...from the way you describe it, it has to be the worst service that you can receive anywhere in the world outside of maybe Costa Rica and Adelitas. To Sandman and Blazers. I don't have the kind of money you guys have. I would love to go the kind of places you guys go to. Cuba, Costa Rica, Brazil, Colombia. But I just don't have the money.

I spent about $1500 US dollars on the entire trip. That includes transportation, fishing, fucking, food and lodging. I am sure you guys spend a lot more than that on your trips. Perhaps I can save my pennies and go to South America some day. Not sure what kind of other activities I will be able to enjoy there.

I need to re-read your reports to see how much money you say you are spending on your trips. I could be wrong and wasting my time and money in Mazatlan.

Mazatlan is ideal in that it is very driveable.
