After a good run this morning (there's a mile and a quarter circuit around the Museo de Belles Artes on Libertador), I returned to my apartment and reviewed the printouts from the Platynum site. Narrowing the choice down to three, I decided on a 21 year old with long black hair. I may not be very facil at carrying on an extended social conversation in Spanish, but by now I am getting pretty good at negotiating over the phone, explaining what I like/expect, and providing directions etc.

FYI when I call an escort service, I will typically confirm that the girl I am interested in is available to come to my apartment for a particular period of time (hour and a half, two hours etc.) to begin at a particular time. I will always confirm the per hour price and ask whether it is inclusive of taxi (otherwise you'll spring for another ten pesos). I always negotiate in pesos, not dollars, explaining that I am in B.A., not the U.S. This tells the person on the other end of the conversation that you are at least somewhat experienced. I explain that I want a "blow job" (they all seem to know that phrase) "sin globo" for twenty minutes followed by "sexo normal con globo". If you want anal, confirm this by asking for "complete service" and make sure the price you are quoted either does or does not include full service, so you are clear. You may either be speaking to the escort herself, or to a "duena" or manager. She will ask your name (nombre) and the address of both your hotel/apartment, including the floor and unit/room number (e.g. Azcuenaga 1465, habitacion 4B or "quatro bey"). You'll also be asked your telephone number and extension if applicable so they can call you back to confirm you are not some teenage joker who gets off by ordering escorts to a phony address. Word to the wise: have all this info available when you make the call...you'll be acting professional and they will be professional in return. You may not get a call back to confirm promptly. It is typical, especially if you have made an appointment which begins some hours hence, not to get a call until 15 minutes before that time, so if you plan/want to go out for a while, ask them to confirm by phone "immediamente". I have not had a "ringer" show up when I have called Platynum or Escorts-Baires, but when I call a Clarin girl, I always say that if the girl is not pretty (linda), or thin (flaquita) or young (joven), I will send her away with only taxi fare.

When the girl arrives, I make a practice of confirming what I expect, for how long, and the price. Failing to do this can lead quickly to unpleasantness. While some guys have a practice of not paying until after, I have not refused to do so when asked. When that happens, I do make a point of telling the chica that she still needs to work even though she's been paid. And again, though some guys have a problem with a chica making a phone call, it is my experience that almost all of them will need to call "home" and confirm their arrival as well as the fact they've collected the toll.

In any event, this day, when the girl arrived at my apartment -- let's call her Diosa -- I had to look at her weight, height and estimate her age to conclude if she was the same girl as on the website, because there her facial features had been blurred out. In this case, it looked like the same girl and we sat on the couch for a few minutes first. I had already prepared my still camera and it was sitting on a table nearby. She said she would have a little champagne, so after we had a short drink, I asked if I could take photos. She agreed I could -- with clothes, but if I wanted to take other photos, she asked for money for herself personally (as opposed to handing it over to the duena). Even then she said I couldn't photograph her face and had to promise I wouldn't put the photos on the internet. Of course I immediately promised compliance, telling her the pix were for my personal use, thinking, of course, that at most I might possibly share them with only one or two of my closest friends.
