BANGKOK / PATTAYA TRIP REPORT

INTRODUCTION
I am a guy who regularly makes trips down to Tijuana and used to post occasionally on the Redsnake board. I haven’t had too much of interest to say lately so I haven’t made any posts in almost a year. In the year 2000 I made 11 trips to Tijuana. Considering the fact that Tijuana is a 2000-mile trip (each way) for me I decided that I should add some new destinations to my travels for 2001. Thus my first to Thailand.

BANGKOK
I arrived at Bangkok airport at 9:15 pm. I quickly pass through immigration and customs. I then go to the airport currency exchange booth where I purchase local currency at a rate of about 45 baht per US dollar. All conversions of currency that follow are based on this rate. I then step outside and quickly get a taxi for the ride from the airport to Nana Entertainment plaza. Cost is 280 Baht (6.20 us$) including tolls for expressway.

I then checked into the Majestic Suites hotel for a four-day stay in Bangkok. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent location, service and good value. This Hotel is about a 100 yard walk to the Nana Entertainment Plaza The only downside is that the rooms are quite small.

My total flight time including connections was about 25 hours so I wasn't feeling very energetic on this night. I did manage to make a tour of the NEP bars and took a young lady from the Rainbow 1 bar back to my room for a short time session. Bar fine was 500 baht (11.10 us$) and the fee for the lady was 1000 baht (22.20 us$). My first rookie mistake was in not getting familiar with the Thai currency before heading into a dimly lit bar. When I was about to pay the bar bill for my drinks and the bar fine for my lady I had no idea what the denominations of bills were that I was pulling out of my wallet. Fortunately the lady I had chosen assisted me without taking advantage of the situation. The session was pretty good but I was now looking forward to a good nights sleep.

I spent my next 3 days touring this fascinating city by day and visiting the various gogo bars and beer bars along Sukumwit at night. Anybody who does visit Bangkok should make sure to allocate sufficient time to visit the many sights of this city. I was particularly amazed by a lot of areas outside of the traditional tourist stops such as the outdoor markets and the China town area. Getting around Bangkok by taxi is very easy and cheap. Make sure you have a map of the city with you so you can point out your destination as most of the taxi drivers speak little English. My evenings were spent primarily at Nana although I did take out 1 lady from the Clinton plaza and another lady from the beer garden on Sukumwit soi 7. I also had an excellent massage (1.5 hours) at a small shop near Clinton plaza for 350 baht (7.80 us$).

PATTAYA
Now was the time to go to Pattaya for a quick 2-day visit. After checking out of my hotel I got in a taxi and asked to be taken to the Ekmai bus terminal. The driver asked if I was headed to Pattaya. I said I was. He said he would take me right to Pattaya for 1000 baht (22.2 us$). I agreed to this, as it would quickly get me from hotel to hotel. The trip took 2 1/4 hours with about an hour of that just getting out of Bangkok. Taxi rides in Thailand are an incredible bargain. I checked into the Haven hotel on soi 13. The hotel is somewhat disappointing as it is a little run down. Cost is 750 baht (16.70 us$) per night so I guess I shouldn’t complain.

Pattaya is an unbelievable place for guys like us who share our common hobby. I am completely amazed by the scale of the hooker scene in Pattaya. In my estimation you would have to take the total Tijuana scene and multiply it by 100 to get what is available in Pattaya. Day 1 in Pattaya starts with a short time session with a gogo girl from the PlayPen on Soi Yamato. Cost is 1000 baht plus 400 baht bar fine (22.2 + 8.9 us$). Next I try the Pump Station on Soi Post Office for an in the bar BJ. Cost is 350 baht (7.8 us$). I had to try this once although it was really an uncomfortable experience for me. After having dinner and resting for a couple of hours it was time to try out a beer bar girl. At this point I'm beginning to prefer the beer bar scene to the gogo bars. The atmosphere is a little more relaxed, the prices are cheaper and it is a much easier situation to talk to the lady. The beer bar girl of my choice today for a short time session costs 800 baht plus 300 baht bar fine (17.8 + 6.70 us$).

So far I have experienced a number of gogo girls and beer bar girls. Short time sessions are very relaxed and can easily be stretched out to last for a couple of hours. The cost is very favorable in comparison to the TJ scene. Very few of the ladies will go with more than one man in a day. All in all my experience in Thailand to this point is superior to the Tijuana scene although the cost and length of the flight probably negate this advantage. But this trip is not finished and any conclusions would be premature.

THINGS ARE ABOUT TO CHANGE!!
So it is now about 11pm on my first night in Pattaya. I have decided that I have had my quota of ladies for day one. I'm not quite ready to retire to my room for the evening so I went out for walk to scout out the nearby beer bars. After walking for about half an hour on a warm humid night I was starting to perspire so I stopped at a beer bar for a cold cola. Within minutes I had a lady come and sit next to me. We talked for about half an hour before she asked if I was interested in taking her to my room. This lady was not the youngest or prettiest girl but she had this incredible smile that I just loved. I decided that I could handle one more lady. I asked her how much it would cost. She replied 200 baht (4.40 us$) for the bar fine plus I could pay her whatever I felt was appropriate. As I don't really like these open-ended agreements I asked if 500 baht (11.10 us$) was ok. She countered with a 700 baht (15.6 us$) offer and I agreed. We walked to my room and both took a shower. Without going into too much detail I was about to experience my best ever session with a working lady. Afterwards we both showered again. As I was lying on the bed she emerged from the bathroom and then slipped back into the bed. It was only at this time that I discovered that while I thought I had negotiated a short time session, in reality I was about to experience my first long time session. What followed was the most incredible night of passion I have ever experienced with any lady (paid or unpaid). We talked for a while before I told her that I was very tired and wanted to sleep. Sleeping with this lady was an experience in itself. She intertwined legs and arms into a position where two bodies could not share more contact. After sleeping for about 2 hours she woke me for a round of passionate kissing. Two more hours of sleep were followed by a very nice 20-minute massage. Back to sleep for about 1 hour this time before I get to enjoy a great BBBJ. Everything that happened on this night was of my lady’s own initiative. I asked for nothing special but received an incredible night.

DAY 2 IN PATTAYA
It is about noon when we wake again. My lady asks if she can spend this day with me as well. I hesitate as I ponder whether I desire the company of this incredible lady or to try some new faces. I decide to spend this day (my last day in Pattaya) with her. There is no discussion of money at this point or any point in the future. We started the day by having lunch at a nearby shopping mall. I bought her some clothes worth about 400 baht (8.90 us$). She then took me to her apartment where I met three of her friends. This apartment is really dismal with no air conditioning, no television and no hot water. I'm guessing this is why she prefers to go long time. Next it time to eat. She selects a restaurant and orders the food. This turns out to be another first for me as I enjoy my first ever "Hands Free Meal". That is that she feeds me the entire meal. Any assistance on my part was not allowed. Next she tells me she is obligated to show up at her bar at 8 pm. We go to the bar where the only issue is a 200 baht (4.40 us$) bar fine which must be paid to free her up for the night. I paid the bar fine and we spent the next 3 hours touring various bars that were playing live music. We then returned to my room and essentially repeat the previous nights incredible session. I explained to her that I was returning to Bangkok the next morning where I would spend one night prior to catching an early morning flight to return home. She then asked if she could come to Bangkok and spend the final night with me. I agreed to this.

BACK TO BANGKOK
At 8am my lady leaves to pick up a few things from her apartment in preparation for the trip. She returns one hour later. At about 10am we head out to the bus station for the trip to Bangkok. Cost is 90 baht (2.00 us$) each. We checked in at the hotel (Majestic Suites again) and she took me on a tour of Bangkok highlighted by the Grand Palace and a 2 hour boat tour of the ChaoPraya River . We then went back to the hotel where things start to get a bit messy. After having a shower I am presented with an envelope. She laughs and says "me too shy" prior to running into the bathroom and closing the door behind her. I opened the envelope and removed a letter. Without going into details I will just say that the letter was a declaration of her love me. My life history has taught me to be very cynical about things like this and yet I am really touched by the letter. I simply did not know how to react. Was this a true reflection of her feelings or was this a form letter handed out each man she meets? I opened the bathroom door where she immediately turns away from me. I can see that her body is shaking. I put my hands on her shoulders and turn her around. There is a steady stream of tears rolling down her face, which do not stop for the next 30 minutes. We talked for about an hour. I told how I felt with every word being the honest truth. The only promise I made was that I would return to Thailand later this year. This last two hours may well have been the most emotionally intense I have ever experienced. Emotions then died down a bit to the point where I enjoyed a third night with this sensuous lady. A new dilemma was now becoming obvious. I had to be in a taxi and on the way to the airport by 6am. To check out of the hotel at this hour and leave her on the street didn't sound like a suitable ending for the past three days. I got lucky here as she told me that she would be coming to the airport to see me off. At the airport the tears of the previous evening returned as well as one last dilemma for me. How much should I compensate the lady for 3 incredible days? Would she be offended? I decided to give her 5000 baht (111 us$) She accepted the money but never saw the amount before tucking it away. We then said our good byes and parted with a hundred things going through my head all at the same time.

CONCLUSION
I had just experienced a week unlike any other. I was completely unprepared for what I consider to be a most unusual relationship. We did exchange phone numbers and addresses. I really have no idea what is going to happen now if anything. I can say that I will return to Thailand probably some time in November. I am a little curious to learn if others have had experiences similar to this with ladies in Thailand.

As far as your Thai babe goes, doesn't sound like it's much to worry about unless you're planning to move to Thailand. I have never been to Thailand, but from stories I have heard, it sounds like the girls there have little databases and tickler files that result in quarterly mail contact and excited (collect?) phone calls when they know the time is nigh for your next trip. If you're commitment shy like many of us, I can't imagine a more perfect situation than having a girlfriend for whatever finite period of time that you can cut loose by handing over some cash. The best of both worlds!

It is very easy to get attached to some of these girls. I met a non-pro, college educated girl last September and have been back twice since then. I am planning to go back in July and she plans on coming back with me to America for 3 months. Getting her the visa was hassle, but I think it will be well worth it. I have also heard of many more scenario's like Proker describes.

Come July my TJ days will be finished for a while
