I left the family dinner by 1:30AM and went to Flores. Despite my paranoia about robberies and kidnappings, I drove the car.
I decuded to visit first La Nuit, in Flores (Directorio Av between San Pedito Av and La Fuente Av). Contrary to what they advertised, the place was closed for Christmas night. However, "Liza" (the place located in the opposite walkway to La Nuit/Dollys) was open and so I walked in.
LIZA: Entrance ar$5, including 1 drink. There were 6 girls or so, most of them dressed in Santa Claus style bikinis. They had below average looks (let's say, 4-5s) but I have to recognize that the quality improved respect to July.
Several girls approached me, and one of them may be interesting to foreigners. Her name is Valeria and she speaks English. She said taht she lived for 5 years in Miami. She started speaking English and mentioned that a couple of Americans and British guys visited Liza a couple of days ago and one of them went out with her (one of the readers, perhaps?). Valeria could be described as a big woman (tall, perhaps 5"10', robust) with a nice face. A little chubby for my taste but may work for you, guys. I left Liza and went to
CAMOON: JB Alberdi Av between San Pedrito Av and La fuente Av. Just 2 blocks from Liza, this place didn't change much from the times it was called Monaco (3-4 years ago). There were 8 girls, most of them well below average (one of them had her underwear hidden by her belly and had more makeup applied to her face than a cheap salsa dancer from North Miami Beach), let's say 3-4s. In fact, a real girl next door stood out and called her, just to find out that she was the waitress. So, I left and visited the Flores scene by car.
- SWs: No sign of life. Perhaps a couple of TVs, but not my cup of tea.
- JB Justo zone: Scorpions and Maraha remain closed (seems forever) while Top Secret and the corner of Artigas and JB Justo were open. Through an untinted window, I perceived that the corner bar had at most 2 girls for the night, so I decide to skip the place. Didn't try Top Secret either.
- Rivadavia and San Pedrito zone: Manhattan, la Fuente and Envidia were closed. The avenue was pretty dead for a Christmas night, really unusual for my previous experience.
So much for Flores... where to go?
SALOME: The place was open but, for my dismay, I entered and saw 40 middle aged guys listening tangos (did it turned into a gay place, or were they kidding?). The receptionist told me that the night was dead, that I should come tomorrow (by today). So I left as a sad dog without its bone.
The Pueyrredon and Cordoba zone is located very close to Salome, so I visited it. La Saison and Affaire were closed, and no sign of life in the streets. Damn!
What about Recoleta?
Went there and everything was closed: Madaho's, Solid Gold, Playwoman, Sodoma. No SWs, and no people in Recoleta's streets on a holiday's eve (no kidding).
What about Suipacha St?
Catto's, Ness, Hook and Montecarlo were closed, so I called it a night and headed back home.
The upsode is that I had a much needed sleep since my arrival, so I'm in a much better shape for tonight.
Hope to have better luck tonight and that it helps.
